OTHER INFORMATION

"Anti-abortion advocates Clifton Boje, left, from Bonner Springs, Kan., and Max Langston, from Lenexa, Kan. stand outside the Planned Parenthood clinic in Overland Park, Kan., Friday, June 24, 2022. The Supreme Court has ended constitutional protections for abortion that had been in place nearly 50 years in a decision by its conservative majority to overturn Roe v. Wade."

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Never, as abortion is murder. People enter into this world at the moment of fertilization, already in possession of their own unique DNA, and the 14th Amendment of the United States Constitution forbids that anyone be deprived of their life without due process. This is our nation's foundation in fulfilling God's command to not murder. Any court or law which discriminates against the human rights of the preborn is an abomination to God and unconstitutional.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Naturally, the government should not finance baby murderers, in any way, but I think it's worth mentioning that when there's mass murder in your nation, the government's theft of your pocket change to help pay for it is the least of your related problems.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

Life can be very painful and difficult at its end, but The Lord keeps us here for His own reasons, and we are as equally not entitled to defy Him with murder of ourselves at the end as we are at any other time.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Generally speaking, taxation is theft, and we need to work aggressively to decrease Kansas taxes and spending to the levels required to perform the Constitutions' illustrations of the state government's duties. One aspect of our tax code which particularly pains me is how we tax everyone equally to fund our public schools, even those who educate their children privately.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

While solutions are complicated than simply reducing spending first, our state is currently spending 63% of its budget on public education, which can surely be refined without impacting the quality of our public education.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

There are many valid concerns which drive such policies, but the response to these concerns simply cannot be that we steal more money from the public.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

Certainly not under the circumstances our nation just experienced. At the time of this writing the only reason I can think of is if the specific building has been condemned for being structurally unsound, being infested with vermin, etc.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

D), as taxation is generally theft, and the Lord did not establish governments to produce good things, but merely to protect them.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Public schools and governments should never require attendees to be vaccinated, but an employer should have the right to require vaccinations of their employees.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Did not answer

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Neutral

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone who isn't a threat to our people in any way and who swears to uphold our Constitution and obey our laws should be welcomed here.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Agree

I need to do some homework regarding why states and their peoples are so invested in the state's definition of marriage, to begin with.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I'm a Reformed Christian and a Constitutional originalist with conservative social and economic values. I want to re-establish a limited government which frees its citizens and communities to do good through God's guidance, not the state's.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Kansas was recently ranked as having the most secure elections in the nation, and I have yet to see any particular room for improvement!

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Did not answer

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A), depending on the law. Things like preserving types of ecosystems and keeping our groundwater clean make more sense than sweeping carbon tax policies.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To 'establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity' (from the Preamble).

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

I'm in a couple of photos taken for this article: https://www.ksnt.com/news/spotted/abortion-rally-at-state-house/

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

My number one priority is to establish equal justice for the preborn in our state.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Choose not to answer

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Regardless of the answer to this question (I don't think there's an obvious one) the 2nd Amendment protects the right to bear arms from being infringed upon, so there is nothing I can do to qualify or restrict gun ownership for law-abiding citizens in any way without breaking my oath to uphold the Constitution.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

Guns really don't kill people; people really do kill people. Should a stabbing victim be able to sue the manufacturer or retailer of the knife? Of course not!
