QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
I'm unapologetically 100% pro-life. As a legislator, I commit to protecting innocent life — which includes supporting bills to end state funding of Planned Parenthood and supporting existing pregnancy resource/life affirming centers centers around our state.
“Women’s Right to Know” informed consent materials must include information about Abortion Pill Reversal.
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
I believe life begins at conception and ends with natural death.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
As a state, I believe we need to end state funding going to Planned Parenthood. Instead, I will support bills that allow state funding to go to existing Pregnancy Resource/Life Affirming Centers throughout Wisconsin.
ECONOMY
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
ESG and DEI go hand in hand in deteriorating society by making individuals out to be a collective. ESG forces people against their will and religious beliefs.
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
Communism is counterproductive to a free nation.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
The core of a free market is dependent on the willing exchange of two parties, not forced exchange.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Under no circumstances should government close churches. We saw gross overreach of state and local government in 2020 which led to my involvement in politics. I was proud to support the restrictions of the Public Health Officer in Winnebago County from shutting down our churches (passed by the Winnebago County Board.)
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
The purpose of government was never to fund our citizens' healthcare. Programs like Medicaid and Medicare will be hard to abolish in their entirety, but I think necessary reform needs to be implemented toward the goal of eliminating government-ran social programs that are wasteful. Therefore, my view lies somewhere between option C and option D.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
There should be no vaccine mandates from the government. I will not support such legislation.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
The Chinese Communist Party is the number one threat to our republic and world peace and prosperity.
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes. As the first country in the world to recognize Israel's sovereignty under President Harry Truman, it is critical to remember Biblical and historical context of the existence of Israel and why it must remain. We must continue to support their efforts of sovereignty.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
I support measured, legal immigration to the United States, but I also believe that illegal immigration must be stopped. I also believe that we must rebuild our law enforcement agencies in order to enable them to address illegal immigration.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Strongly Agree
I strongly support money following the students and a parent's right to choose.
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
Medical professionals that have conducted "gender-affirming" surgery on minors should be prosecuted.
Parents have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Agree
I believe that marriage is between a man and a woman. I believe that no government has the authority to alter this definition within the church, nor force churches to recognize same-sex unions as marriage.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Missouri Synod Lutheran and my faith is important to me. My wife is a practicing Catholic. We have agreed to raise our children in the Catholic Church.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No, it is not. The American people passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which states that it is illegal to discriminate against Americans on the basis of race. America is imperfect, but great, and racism is not a threat to domestic security.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Nuclear is the absolute choice for the ever growing demands for electricity.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The general purpose of government is to safeguard our God-given rights and protect us from foreign adversaries.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No.
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I support the constitution and believe that every law-abiding citizen has the right to carry.
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
