RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Abortion is the ending of a life and should only be considered if it is an ectopic pregnancy or physically would end the life of the mother. I have always been a champion of life from the womb to the tomb. God values each life from the point of conception and throughout a woman's pregnancy to birth and for the rest of that child's life into adulthood. Even the child with the severest disability has a purpose in God's eyes and mine. Our society's view of children has changed and sees them as a hindrance or disposable. I treasure each life and therefore believe that I must also do what I can to support a woman in a crisis pregnancy and her child when they are born. I love children and families. In the words of Dr. Jim Dobson, "Children are God's way of saying that life must go on."
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
It pains me that funds are being used in the name of choice, inconvenience, and selfishness. I also through the life of a woman trafficked know that the human trafficking industry uses abortion to keep their trapped women working in their sex trade. This organization is destructive to lives of women and their babies. Funding should be removed completely.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
I support life all the way to the tomb.
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
In MN, the Social Security payments to seniors should not be taxed. Those who have been prudent to save or invest for an inheritance for their children should not be taxed at such a high rate. It becomes a penalty to the wise.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Research projects that are worthless just for curiosity sake.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
According to the Constitution of the United States, it does not have the right to prevent the free exercise of one's religion. Therefore, the COVID -19 lockdowns on churches and other places of worship were unconstitutional.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Never. Especially after the Covid Vaccines.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
The US must prevent known terrorists from entering our country and to vet those of islamic faith that are promoting terroristic activity from entering our country. Once they are in our country, they need to be monitored and not allowed to form a terrorist cell. CAIR must be labeled a terroristic threat and treated accordingly.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
Those nations that have supported Israel receive a blessing from God. We can play a part as we pray for the peace of Jerusalem. The US has received blessing as they have supported Israel in the past. Israel has been encroached upon for centuries and we must work to continue to preserve Israel as part of God's prophetic role that Israel will play in history.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Those who legally apply or need a refuge from religious persecution or other persecution should be able to immigrate to the U.S. People who have been displaced by war and need a refuge from greater immediate harm may immigrate.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Agree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Strongly Disagree
iVoterGuide Notes:
Candidate notified iVoterGuide.com that her answer should have been, "Strongly Agree."
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe that God created the world with two individuals. One was a man and one was a woman. God Created man to have fellowship with Him, but man chose to go against God's instructions and this brought sin into the world. This sin separated man and woman from God. The Old Testament of the Bible shows us how God was trying to teach his people how to be holy, set apart and to follow in His ways that bring blessing. But, man would fail time and time again, yet God's love was greater. In the New Testament of the Bible, God shows us his plan through His son, Jesus to bring man back into relationship with himself. God said that He gave His son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life. I believe in Him. I believe that I am a sinner needing a savior who loves me and knows the plans for my life. I live my life to live by the principles found in the Bible that guide my thoughts, actions, and relationships daily. I seek to honor God by worshiping Him with my time, my talents, my energy, and my resources to show others God's love. I want others to have a relationship with the God who loves them and is with them through all they may face here on this earth. God is greater than my challenges. He is my hope, my strength, my refuge, my source of wisdom and is worthy of my life. I am a woman of prayer who believes God holds the answers to my problems and overcomes the evil in this day and age. I value his word in the Bible as true instruction and life. I value the community of believers, the church. I seek to tell the good news of reconciliation with God through salvation in Jesus to others in all ethnicities and cultures. I value the family as God's way of reflecting His image and design for sexuality. Marriage is God's plan between one man and one woman. I am to live out my life as the woman He has created me to be and encourage others to do the same in the gender he created them from birth. I believe that Jesus will return to this earth to take those who believe in Him back to Heaven. I believe I can be used by God to bring right ways to my family, communities and world through the power of God that lives in me. I believe that the Holy Spirit lives in me and teaches, guides, comforts, convicts, and empowers me to life a holy life that allows me to impact my world the way God wants me to live. I want to be sure I have live out the purposes God has for me in my generation.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
A photo ID is required for many services already, and those who want those services seem to find ways to obtain a photo ID. Healthcare, airline travel, college and other school services already require an ID. No one is complaining about these requirements. A process to obtain an ID for those without one could be simplified and administered without great pain to voters. I strongly believe that it would reduce voter fraud and create a more honest system.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
I speak as a former election judge with 10 years of experience. In MN, I would close the window on the number of weeks before an election that a voter can cast their ballot to 3 weeks or less. The strong push for early voting creates absentee ballots that then need to be sent to the county office for that city. I would also remove the requirement of sending ballots cast in a city from being sent to the county until election day. Because, when ballots are sent to the county, party balance on county boards is not consistent and this opens the door for corruption. I would also remove same day voter registration without a current photo ID. People who value voting know when an election is coming and will need to take responsibility to plan ahead by either registering ahead of time or having the correct document availalble. Vouching reform is also needed to prevent abuses that need to be reigned in. The same person can bring in their "unregistered" voters to several locations with a similar story. This is especially true in cases where there are homeless people being housed in hotels, shelters or in homeless camps in larger cities. In MN our current Secretary of State did not uphold requirements on signatures on envelopes the ballot came in with the signature on the ballot on the inside of the envelope. Laws in place for the prevention of fraud must also be followed. I would also outlaw any other group from sending out an unrequested absentee ballot to residents. Only the county that the resident resides in can send out an absentee ballot, unlike what occurred in the 2020 election when unsolicited ballots were sent out to voters multiple times with return addresses to an address that looked official, but was not. There are probably more laws, but these are based on my own experiences. Election integrity is key to our democracy. For without it, we do not have a true electorate.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
The movement to point out differences of people based on the color of their skin and categorizing people as an oppressor or of being oppressed is tearing our nation apart. This movement promoted by Black Lives Matter and the Marxist Anti-Racism movement creates offenses and points out differences rather than the ways we are similar. Yes, there are bad actors that are racists in every ethnicity. But, the movement wants to pit people against one another. This is a Marxist tactic used in communistic countries to divide people and to depend on the government to give them a solution. In the Marxist movement, this has lead to countries like China, Venezuela, and others that are now ruled by communism and control their people. I propose that Marxism working through the racism ideology movement like Black Lives Matter is a threat to the Family, Religion, and our Constitution that they claim are racist institutions and need to be "dismantled." This dismantling is what is a threat to our democracy and domestic security in the US. Those from the countries where this has already occurred and their countries have become socialist or communistic warn us of the signs they are now seeing in the US. Racism is the tool being used and we must be aware of the threat and fight the false narrative.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Disagree
In history, we have never passed on the sins of one generation onto the children of the next in this way. if you start with one group of people, it will never end. In principle, we have to understand that mistakes may have been made, but we can move forward and be sure that they will not happen again. By resolving to do what is right in the future, we pay it forward to future generations to make a difference.
