QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I'm pro life with an emphasis on supporting women in any way to help them have and support the baby.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Disagree
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
I do not support new taxes.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
I would look at redundancy, inefficiency and what areas could be privatized. Encouraging a robust private sector also increases income, and reduces the chance of new and higher taxes would be proposed.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Disagree
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
There is no circumstance that the government has the right to close a place of worship.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C) I believe government involvement in health care drives up the price. I support public and private options for everyone at all income levels.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
If the vaccination has long term testing, is relevant to the job at hand and approves exemptions.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Stop starting wars in their country and protect our own borders.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
I support Israel and also support the rights of refugees to be fair and equally treated.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Those that are willing to go through immigration process and be vetted to be able to stay in the country.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
My children have been in homeschool, private school, charter and public schools. Let families decide what is best for their kids!
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
As a woman, I support non-discrimination laws based on my gender. I do not support any gender as a special protected class.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Agree
This is a states rights issue.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
I oppose any teaching that separates people by race.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian who strongly believes in integrity, humility, faith and strengthening the family unit.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Eliminate mailing out ballots, strengthen precinct locations to keep voting easily available and wait time reasonable, as well as continuing to offer absentee ballots.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
If racism was as prevalent as the media makes it sound then yes. I believe it is NOT as prevalent, so I do not see it as a domestic threat. The threat is the message that most Americans are racist and therefore has pitted American against American. Racism exists, but is not a threat to domestic security.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Disagree
In my mind there is no amount of money that can make up for our country's history with slavery and the Native American experience. I do not support monetary reparations, but I am open to offering college to these groups since I feel education is the key to climbing out of poverty.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
We need both. History has shown us that without environmental regulation, business and government can harm the environment. With that being said, the regulations have gone so far that they have cost jobs and hurt the economy. I support a balance, and feel today's businesses are much more attentive to protecting the environment than ever before and don't need to be overburdened with more regulation.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To support public safety and secure our borders, and provide infrastructure needs of the community.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
I believe it is important to protect our constitutional rights and believe in limited government in all issues.
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
n/a
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I want to see investment in Alaska's infrastructure, improved education options, protection of individual liberty and election reform.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Disagree
Individuals are accountable for their individual actions.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Disagree
I support mental health and community programs, but I don't see a reason to take from the police department unless there are areas that could be more streamlined to save money.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Any restrictions need to be in accordance with the Constitution.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Disagree
Individuals are accountable for their own individual actions. The only way I see litigation against a company is if the product was not produced to standard and the injury was a result of the weapon performing improperly.
