EDUCATION
What is the function of the local school board?
As an elected body the school boards purpose is to represent all constituents in the development and implementation of a district-wide mission statement, strategic plan, and the governance of the superintendents administrative oversight of the district.
Who should have the authority to set curriculum and determine resources used in those curricula?
the Florida Department of Education with input from its constituency.
When should parents be restricted from speaking in school board meetings?
Parents should always be able to address the School Board freely about their grievances related to board business and the level of education that their students are receiving. It is important for parents and guardians to address the board with a respectful level of decorum so that their message is not misconstrued as harassment, bullying, or unintended threats to school board members, staff, or fellow parents. Civility is what allows our community to exchange differing opinions.

My moral standard is firmly rooted in my Catholic/Christian beliefs. My determination of what is right and what is wrong is weighed upon my moral belief system, the ten commandments, and biblical truth.
I support allowing public high school students to participate in athletic competition based on the gender with which they identify instead of biological sex.
Strongly Disagree
