OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Rape, incest, health of the mother.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

The scenario I see where someone has assisted suicide or euthanasia is a situation where they could, if competent, make medical decisions to not have certain procedures done on them, they can request a Do Not Resuscitate on themselves, there are many ways already legally allowing someone to make these kinds of decisions. We do not need laws legally allowing someone to have their life ended.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Reduce property taxes.

iVoterGuide Notes:

The candidate notified iVoterGuide.com that his answer should have been "Propose lower property taxes using some of the state's surplus budget and lower or eliminate state income tax to make our state more attractive to workers to relocate here."

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

We have a surplus of tax dollars, so Wisconsin is already above-budget.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

High schools should be able to prepare students for employment, and if not, curriculum need to be reformed to make that goal.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

None. Government shouldn't tell worship centers to close.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

The government, school, or employers should not force vaccinations on people. Each person is different and requiring vaccinations under any circumstance could be catastrophic to the wrong person. Vaccinations have done great things and eliminated horrible disease from the planet, but individuals should make that decision for themselves.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Terrorism, in any form. will likely always persist. The United States needs to scrutinize anyone coming into the country who is not a U.S. Citizen and determine if there is a credible threat from that person. We cannot continue to go fighting wars and arming people like the Taliban against Russia, only to have those weapons and training come full circle against the United States, or leave billions of dollars of equipment like the leaving of Afghanistan.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

IMMIGRATION

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Anyone should be allowed to immigrate to the US through a legal process for any reason. Our southern border needs to be secured and funds not wasted processing illegal immigrants so they can be redirected to processing those who wish to legally come and become a U.S. Citizen. Once borders are secured we likely could discuss expanding the numbers of legal immigrants allowed into the country.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

Parents are the primary stakeholders in their children's education.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

The idea of "innocent until proven guilty" comes from Blackstone's formulation that ten guilty persons go free than one innocent person suffer, which is partially based on the biblical story of Sodom and Gomorrah, that the city would not be destroyed if there is but one righteous person. It is where morality of our legal system stemmed from.

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I attended Catholic school through 8th grade and have a minor in religious studies from UW-Oshkosh. I believe the Judeo-Christian values are a strong framework to create a successful family and community.

Marriage between one man and one woman and the families they form are the foundation of civilization and are fundamental to the well-being and prosperity of Wisconsin.

Strongly Agree

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Actually enforcing the laws as currently written (age and residential requirements) which would need to be proven through something like a state issued ID card or utility bill. Wisconsin allows same day voter registration, so it is reasonable to ensure the vote is secure. I am open to looking into blockchain voting to provide for clear records of voting and that ballots can be verified.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes, racism is being used by leftists to tear the country in two. Through the pandemic we saw, and continue to have, riots, death, and destruction of property based on racial ideologies without recourse from government for the destruction. We need to get back to MLK's message of judge by content of character, not color of skin.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

Environmental laws cannot be used as a cudgel to destroy the U.S. economy. Moving towards green energy options is the right direction, but cannot come at the expense of those who continue to use oil and gas for their needs. Even in a fully green society wind turbines require petroleum based lubricants to maintain their function.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To ensure the rights of its citizens are not infringed upon by the government or another person.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Lean Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

https://www.facebook.com/RepGreenwood; https://twitter.com/RepGreenwood; https://ballotpedia.org/Tim_Greenwood

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

As an attorney, I have an understanding of the legal process and how laws we enact may be interpreted by judges who will need to enforce these laws. I believe this will help in getting legislation that is clear and not open to judicial legislative-type action from the bench.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

Using the surplus of funding a mental health package should be passed to help with that issue.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

As we see in Illinois (Chicago), California, and New York, gun restrictions do not remove the threat of gun violence from a community. There is a mental health crisis that needs to be addressed.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree
