OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE*

*Additional information was received after the evaluation was assigned and was not considered in the Panel Evaluations, therefore it is for additional educational purposes only.
RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion may be performed when the medical condition of the mother dictates as judged by the physician, usually this is an ectopic pregnancy. Our new Wyoming law in effect at the overturning of Roe v. Wade states this condition as one that would lead to the medical treatment of the pregnancy which would be abortion.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

Life should be protected from conception until natural death.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

I believe that regarding the national income tax that a flat rate tax should be applied to everyone.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

A beginning would be to repeal new spending bills passed since 2020. Eliminate all but essential foreign aid. Freeze new hiring in government agencies; do not replace retiring and leaving personnel.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

Government should not close churches under any circumstances.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

Ideally the government's role in healthcare would be small and healthcare could thrive in a environment of private enterprise. Working toward that should start with laws requiring pharmaceutical and insurance companies to be transparent in their dealings with hospitals and doctors. Provision must be made to care for the very elderly, poor and disabled. Medicare and Medicaid would have to remain in place as reforms start to create a better system.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Healthcare, including vacinations, should be a personal decision and not under government control. Ideally, an honest, non-politicized public health administration would give trustworthy guidance for citizens to decide if and how to be vacinated against diseases.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Did not answer

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Did not answer

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Strongly Agree

No government has the true authority, to alter this definition because its authority derives from the natural law of God. However government, leaning away from its source, has taken the liberty to re-define it for convenience.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian who believes in the Trinity, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the authority of the Scripture as the divinely inspired Word of God, the atoning death and resurrection of Jesus, that His Kingdom is here on earth now and also not yet. That we who believe, filled and acting by His Spirit, always seeking His empowering Presence so we are continually filled with His Faith and Joy, are to work and act, with and by His Love toward people, on earth so that His Kingdom is always advancing. We are His hands and feet when we are acting as those who are grafted into Him as branches into a vine. This is a daily journey.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

We need to change laws that do not further free and fair elections where each qualified person has one vote counted. Laws should enforce voter identification and place of residence. Voters should be citizens, of legal age and not convicted felons. Absentee, mailed in ballots should be for few and valid reasons. Early voting should be a very narrow window of time and no electronic voting machines should be used as they can always be manipulated.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Racism as it is now being promoted by CRT creates hatred and division between people that does threaten domestic security.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A. and Environmental factors should be accounted for to have clean air and water. Innovations in clean fuel production are being developed and will improve and increase in more free markets.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Agree

ABOUT YOU

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

Mental health and substance abuse programs need funds also but not to the detriment of police departments.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Background checks but these laws need to be cleaned up.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
