QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Abortion should be allowed under any circumstances.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Disagree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Agree

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

We need to make our tax code more progressive. Fairness demands that those who have been the most fortunate should contribute the most for the good of all of us.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I do not believe government spending should be reduced. Rather than asking what we should or should not spend, we should ask what we wish our government to provide. I believe it is the role of our representative government to set rules doing it's best to achieve fairness and providing an environment where those services that are in the interest of all of us living amicably together, necessarily sharing resources and for which it is not in the public interest to make profitable, such as schools, transportation, healthcare and utilities to name just a few be closely regulated or directly provided for by the government.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Agree

I believe it is in the interest of all of us that our children are given the skills they need to become productive members of society whether that is college, apprenticeships or vocational school. I also believe that pre-K should be fully funded and that there should be subsidies for working parents to pay for day care prior to pre-K.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Agree

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

If the church condones or actively supports illegal activity

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

I would support a combination of A and B. I believe we should have basic healthcare available for all. I believe those who can afford to pay can and will always be able to buy more care. No one should forego necessary care because of financial circumstances and no one should have to pay onerous amounts for essential medical care.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

When it is in the public interest in order to protect the health of our population.
