RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I believe that life begins at the moment a heartbeat is detected. As a staunch pro-life advocate, I hold that elective abortions should generally be prohibited. However, I support exceptions in cases of rape, incest, and when the life of the mother is at risk. I also believe that such a crucial issue should ultimately be decided by the people. That's why I advocate for putting this matter on the ballot as a constitutional amendment, allowing voters to have the final say.

“Women’s Right to Know” informed consent materials must include information about Abortion Pill Reversal.

Strongly Agree

I support the inclusion of comprehensive information in the 'Women's Right to Know' informed consent materials. This should encompass all available medical options and information, including the possibility of Abortion Pill Reversal. Women deserve to have access to full and accurate information to make informed decisions about their health and pregnancies.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

I do not support 'aid in dying' laws that legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia. I believe in the sanctity of life from conception to natural death. Instead, I advocate for improved palliative and hospice care to ensure that those facing end-of-life situations receive compassionate and comprehensive care.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I believe that taxpayer funds should not be used to support abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood. This includes federal, state, and local funding, as well as Title X grants. Instead, I support redirecting these funds to health clinics and organizations that provide comprehensive healthcare services and educational services to prevent someone from needing an abortion in the first place.

ECONOMY

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

Public investment decisions should prioritize financial returns and fiduciary responsibility to taxpayers. Public monies should be invested based on economic performance and stability, ensuring the best possible returns for taxpayers.

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Strongly Agree

I strongly believe that free enterprise and the right to private property are fundamental to a productive and thriving economic system. These principles encourage innovation, drive economic growth, and ensure individual freedom and prosperity. Upholding these values is essential for maintaining a vibrant and competitive economy.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

I believe that individuals and businesses should not be compelled to provide services that conflict with their moral or religious beliefs. Freedom of conscience and religious liberty are fundamental principles that should be protected. Forcing someone to act against their deeply held convictions undermines these core freedoms and can lead to significant personal and ethical conflicts.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

The government should not have the authority to close churches. Religious institutions are protected under the First Amendment, which guarantees freedom of religion. This means that individuals have the right to gather and worship according to their beliefs without government interference. Any attempt to close churches would be an overreach of government power and an infringement on fundamental religious freedoms.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

I would choose option B. I believe that healthcare is a fundamental need, and everyone should have access to it. By expanding Medicaid in Wisconsin through the Affordable Care Act, we can ensure that those who need assistance the most can receive it. This approach provides a safety net for our most vulnerable citizens while also maintaining the freedom for individuals to choose private healthcare options if they prefer.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Vaccinations are a critical tool in protecting public health, but they also raise important questions about individual rights and freedoms. I believe that in general, vaccinations should not be mandated by the government, schools, or employers.

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

The CCP has been aggressively expanding its military capabilities, engaging in cyber espionage, and stealing intellectual property from American companies, which undermines our economic competitiveness and national security. To counter these threats, we need a robust strategy that includes strengthening our military, enhancing our cyber defenses, and implementing policies that protect our intellectual property. We must also work with our allies to ensure a fair global economic system.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes, the United States' relationship with Israel is very important. Israel is our strongest ally in the Middle East, a region that is often unstable and full of conflicts. Israel is a democracy that shares many of our values, including the rule of law, freedom of speech, and human rights. Our support helps maintain a democratic presence in a region where these values are often under threat. To strengthen this relationship, we should continue providing aid to ensure Israel can defend itself.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Yes, the U.S. should take stronger measures to physically secure the southern border. We need to invest in advanced border security technologies, including surveillance systems, drones, and sensors, to better monitor and respond to illegal crossings. This will help border patrol agents detect and address breaches more effectively.

EDUCATION

The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.

Strongly Agree

I strongly support the idea of allowing education dollars to follow the child, which would protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school—whether public, private, or home-schooled. Education is a fundamental right, and parents should have the flexibility to select the best educational setting for their children.

VALUES

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Children are incredibly impressionable, and it's essential that any discussions about gender be handled carefully and respectfully, with strong parental involvement. Schools and doctors should focus on providing clear, age-appropriate information and avoid pushing any agendas that might not be in the child's best interest.

Parents have the right to make decisions for their minor children.

Strongly Agree

Parents generally have the best understanding of their children’s needs and circumstances, and their involvement is crucial in making choices that affect their child's development and well-being. This right should be respected and protected, as it supports the family’s role in raising and nurturing children in a way that aligns with their values and beliefs.

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Taxpayer money should primarily focus on essential services like education, and public safety that serve the broadest needs of the community. Decisions on funding for gender transition services should be handled through private or insurance means rather than relying on taxpayer dollars.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Neutral

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

As a Christian, my spiritual beliefs and values are deeply rooted in the teachings of Jesus Christ. I believe in living a life of compassion, kindness, and integrity, guided by principles of love and forgiveness.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

I believe that voter identification is important for ensuring the integrity of elections. Requiring photo ID helps prevent fraud and ensures that each vote cast is legitimate.

States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.

Strongly Disagree

I don’t support states joining the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact. The Electoral College is a fundamental part of our constitutional framework, designed to balance the influence of states in presidential elections. This system ensures that smaller states have a meaningful voice and prevents large, populous states from dominating the process.

EQUALITY

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

Maintaining separate spaces and sports categories helps ensure fairness and safety for women.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes, racism is a threat to domestic security in the United States. Racism fuels division and discord within communities, which can lead to violence and instability.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Instead of focusing solely on the idea that institutions are inherently racist, it might be more productive to work on practical solutions that address disparities and promote equality. We shouldn't be teaching our kids to hate one another.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.

Climate change is a significant problem that requires attention. The challenge is finding solutions that address environmental concerns without compromising economic growth or energy security. One practical approach is to invest in clean energy technologies, including nuclear power. Nuclear energy can provide a reliable and large-scale source of electricity while emitting minimal greenhouse gases. It offers a viable path to reducing our carbon footprint and ensuring a stable energy supply.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

The most reliable energy source to meet the growing demand for electricity is nuclear power. Nuclear energy can produce a large and consistent amount of electricity with minimal greenhouse gas emissions.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

The general purpose of government is to serve and protect its citizens by maintaining order, providing essential services, and ensuring justice. At its core, government is about creating and enforcing laws that help society function smoothly and fairly. It’s responsible for keeping the peace, ensuring that people’s rights are upheld, and managing public services like education and infrastructure. Governments also play a key role in promoting economic stability and protecting the country.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

I am a proud Conservative. I support a strong economy with low taxes, a robust national defense, and individual freedoms, while also recognizing the need for sensible policies to address issues like healthcare, environmental concerns, and national security. I am a conservative, but I also believe in common sense solutions and reaching across the aisle to get things done in a bipartisan way.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

I stand strong with the police and would never support de-funding the police.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

To protect public safety while respecting the Second Amendment, some sensible restrictions on gun ownership are necessary. Comprehensive background checks for all gun purchases can help ensure that individuals with criminal records or severe mental health issues don't acquire firearms.

Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?

Yes

Yes, teachers should be allowed to carry guns at school, provided they undergo rigorous training and certification. The primary goal is to enhance school security and provide a rapid response in the event of a violent incident. Armed teachers could serve as a crucial line of defense, potentially deterring or addressing threats before law enforcement arrives. However, any program must include strict guidelines for training, storage, and usage to ensure the safety of students and staff.
