QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Abortion should be allowed under conditions set forth in the Washington Initiative 120, which says an abortion is allowed prior to the viability of the fetus or to protect the mother's life or health.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Disagree
I support the proposed 2022 Washington State Democratic Campaign Committee's platform that health care is a basic human right.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Agree
I stand behind Washington's Death with Dignity Act, Initiative 1000, which allows terminally ill adults seeking to end their life to request lethal doses of medication from medial and osteopathic physicians.
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
I would strongly support a more equitable tax code such as a wealth tax. The working and lower middle class are paying a tax rate of 17%, while the wealthy are only paying 3%.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Budget deficits would be addressed by not passing new spending in the supplemental budget, use dollars from reserve funds, and then evaluate how much of the deficit will hit within the two-year budget cycle before the legislature reconvenes. The deficit may be able to be cut in half depending on the budget cycle.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Agree
I support the Washington Constitution that it is the paramount duty of the state to fund public education .
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Agree
I support RCW 49.60 and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 which prohibits discrimination in employment based on religion or creed.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Washington State has archived Religious and Faith-based Organizations COVID-19 Requirements and there are no circumstances whereby the government can close churches.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
A. Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.)

By Governor Proclamation. Proclamation 20-05, proclaimed a State of Emergency for all counties throughout Washington State as a result of the coronavirus
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
I support the National Security Council's National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism, June 2021.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
