Since the Primary he has stated his position and solution on 3 issues:
We must fully fund law enforcement. We must provide the training and tools to meet the ever-changing challenges in our neighborhoods. Community policing starts in our schools. As we have recently seen this is more important than ever. This would allow our children to see, meet and get to know the person behind the badge is there to help. We also MUST hold those we trust to protect us to the highest standards possible.
What better way to help than to give students more time to learn and teachers more time to teach? I believe public education is a corner stone of our Republic. However, it is not the only way. We must allow for school choice and competition. I believe if public school must compete for funding, we all win. The money for education should follow the student. Parents should be leading the way not politician and bureaucrats.
I am calling for accountability in government. Where is your money going and is it being spend well? I will strongly oppose ANY new taxes such as a carbon tax, mileage tax, Long-term Care tax or income tax of any kind.
I believe the government should be doing all it can to encourage small businesses. We can do this my limiting burdensome regulations, lower the Business and Occupational tax and creating a minimum wage that helps both businesses and workers. The minimum wage was never designed to be “a living wage”, it was a place to start, not the place to finish.
I believe we need a more holistic approach to energy production and allowing competition to find the cleanest most efficient ways to power our needs today and in the future. Government mandates only drive-up cost and limit innovation.

I am a Christian. I believe if people would just love their neighbor as themselves and to treat each other as they would like to be treated, we would not have any of the problems we face today.
