QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Disagree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
In the case of a violent act or life threatening medical condition that would be narrowly defined such as a terminal illness.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Disagree
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
The constitution is clear on the relationship between the two institutions. The faith based institutions (churches, synagogues, temples and mosques) should have the right to practice their traditions and values as they so choose without outside cultures and norms determining their doctrine. Furthermore, our government institutions/agencies should provide equal opportunity for individuals to practice their faith in public space without having their rights infringed.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
The Chinese government is a clear threat to the United States and they threaten democracy across the globe. The rise of China should be the primary focus of US foreign policy to ensure the United States maintains our position as the sole superpower leading the world.
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Push for domestic energy independence while investing in intelligence gathering in foreign nations that are seeing a rise in Islamic terrorism. In addition, we need to maintain and build good muslim community relationships to ensure strong cooperation across cultures to prevent domestic acts of terrorism.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
None
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
Private healthcare coverage is essential to providing healthcare services. Each state should be allowed to determine what type of healthcare options they would like to provide for those who do not qualify for private care or have been removed from their private coverage. Removing federal government regulations and limiting laws that control state policies will allow for 50 states to be incubators for policy solutions for healthcare delivery. Medicare should not be de-funded.
ECONOMY
Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.
Strongly Disagree
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Strongly Agree
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
To enact legislation to permanently extend the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA). By making them permanent we will give middle class families the ability to budget their household needs and keep more of their paycheck.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.
Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
We need to have a compassionate immigration system that welcome legal immigrants and prioritizing people who can most make a positive contribution to America. However, we need to secure our borders.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
Communities and police departments have a process for addressing law enforcement who have committed criminal and/or negligible actions. Removing qualified immunity would make it very difficult for law enforcement to recruit and retain public safety officers in an already stressed system.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
We need to continue to fund the National Instant Criminal Background System (NICS) and make sure the data is properly updated to help keep firearms out of the hands of those not allowed to own them.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
By opening up civil suits against gun dealers and manufacturers for gun violence would be the equivalent to taking away the peoples right to Keep and Bear Arms through litigation. Effectively ending manufacturing and sales of firearms in the United States.
ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
We need to protect our borders. Our open borders is a threat to our security. We need to control unsustainable government spending.
VALUES
Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Neutral
All classes of people should receive fair and equal treatment under the law. May will fight for the rights of all sexual orientations and gender identities to provide safety and security as people pursue their American Dreams.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian and I believe in the values of keeping our family strong, having a strong work ethic and respect for human lives.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Voting should be easy and every vote should count. May believes that to ensure the integrity of the electoral process voter ID is an important component to minimizing fraud and providing confidence in our system when every voters goes to the polls.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
As a candidate for federal office, May will fight to prevent election reform being controlled by Washington. Our rules and laws should be addressed at the State level under the framework of the United States Constitution.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
We need a society where Americans of all backgrounds work for the common goal of making America stronger. Any form of racism should be condemn. May will create a culture of equality.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
May believes we need to continue to explore and use domestic resources to drive down costs, minimize our nation's energy interests in conflict nations. Energy should be accessible, reliable and affordable while continuing to diversify our energy resources beyond just fossil fuels such as nuclear, solar and wind.
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
We must be responsible stewards of the environment but we must avoid excessive regulations that could strangle our economy.
