QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Did not answer

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Did not answer

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Did not answer

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Did not answer

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

Did not answer

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

I’m against any form of terrorism – foreign or domestic.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

I think we should have both public and private options. Texas has the largest uninsured population in the country. I do not think this is a statistic we should be proud about. The tools are already at our disposal to turn this statistic around.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Property taxes need to be reformed. Right now the cap on homesteaded properties is 10%, but most people’s incomes are not going up by 10%. It’s great property values are increasing, but with that homeowners are becoming house poor. Inflation is at an all time high. Disposable income is pretty much non-existent. This is an issue that doesn't just impact homeowners, but also impacts renters as well.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Once laws in family court can be reformed we will be able to spend less money on the family court system. Litigations will decrease with courts being able to focus on cases that actually need the courts attention. With that we will be able to ensure that Federal Title 4D and 4E funding that Texas receives is actually going to where it needs to go – our kids. One place that we can help our kids with those funds is through education. We’ll reprioritize the funding for education and our educators.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Did not answer

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Immigration reform is needed. What we have is a supply and demand issue, and the supply is coming in the form of immigrants. Right now the American economy is dependent upon immigrants. We need to make it easier for employers to validate eligibility to work, make it easier for immigrants to legally immigrate and seek work, and in turn since validation of employment will be simpler enforce/strengthen the laws on the employers who are employing individuals who are not eligible for employment.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Did not answer

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Did not answer

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To protect and serve the people

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Did not answer

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Did not answer

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

Term limits ensures that we have fresh new diverse ideas being put forward. It safeguards constituents by ensuring laws are being made based on the current needs of society, and helps us to move the ball forward out of the status quo. More importantly it helps to assure that constituent needs are being put before the needs of special interests. My opponent is seeking his 10th term in office. Family Court Reform - Equal Shared Parenting, CPS Reform, Access and Visitation. Today in America, per the census bureau, over 19 million children live in a single family home. Many of the issues we see with our youth today have direct correlations to parents who are absent due to family court – youth suicides, homelessness, teen pregnancies, sex trafficking, incarcerations, drop outs….the list goes on and on. The science says the best way to support the emotional and psychological health of children when parents divorce or separate is to MAXIMIZE the time children have with both FIT parents. So why aren’t family courts listening to the science on what is best for children, and allowing children to maximize their time with BOTH fit and able parents? Equal shared parenting is the best mitigator to solving many of the ills we see in our youth today. Stand with me as we work to reform family courts to ensure that fit parents are no longer removed from children’s lives. We will work to ensure that family courts are truly placing our children first!

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

I would look to employ same day voting registration. We have the technology and resources to do it, and with this being a democracy we want anyone who is eligible to vote voting.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Did not answer

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
