QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Agree

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

Definitely to save the life of the mother is a circumstance when an abortion should be allowed. Some believe abortion should be allowed up until the time of birth which I do not support.

Human life deserves legal protection from conception until natural death.

Agree

The lives of human embryos created through artificial methods ought to be protected from purposeful destruction.

Agree

The Comstock Act, which bans interstate transportation of abortion-inducing drugs, should be enforced.

Agree

ECONOMY

What is your position on the minimum wage?

Did not answer

Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.

Agree

List your top 3-5 priorities to eliminate government waste.

1) Actual proof of eligibility (including income pay stubs, proof of rent or house payment, etc.) to receive government benefits, 2) transparency and accountability of government agencies reporting how taxpayer dollars are spent, 3) incentivize increased efficiency of government agencies by modernizing processes and cutting costs

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Separation of church and state means that government remains neutral in matters of religion, protecting both religious freedom and authority of the government. These protections are ensured by the First Amendment of the U.S. Constitution.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Disagree

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary most closely matches my view on healthcare.

The government should keep a database of people with various ongoing medical illnesses to assess the economic burden of treatment.

Disagree

NATIONAL SECURITY

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Agree

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes, Israel is an independent republic in the Middle East and is closely aligned with the US militarily and politically. The US provides military protection for Israel and Israel's geographical location in the Middle East provides military access for the US. Trade between Israel and the US is also advantageous to both nations.

IMMIGRATION

I support the existence of sanctuary cities to protect undocumented persons.

Disagree

I believe undocumented persons should be treated with dignity and respect, especially if they are law abiding and working to support themselves and their family. I would like to see a path to citizenship developed and implemented for undocumented persons.

EDUCATION

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Agree

Foreign governments should be prohibited from funding American education.

Agree

VALUES

Government should recognize and support the fundamental right and essential duty of parents to direct their child's health and educational well-being.

Agree

Attempts to physically or socially transition a child to the opposite sex constitute child abuse.

Neutral

I haven't considered attempts to transition a child to the opposite sex as child abuse. However, it could be if the child is coerced. I believe minors should not transition physically or socially, including use of opposite sex hormones and especially irreversible surgical removal or manipulation of body parts. It is a major life altering decision and should not be done before the person has reached the age of majority or later when their brain is more mature to make the decision for themself.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Agree

I support the expansion of gambling in my state.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a lifelong Catholic Christian. I respect others and appreciate diversity among us. I believe my life mission is to serve others, especially the vulnerable, encourage each person to grow to their capacity and give a hand up to those who are struggling so they can become self sufficient if possible.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Disagree

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Agree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Disagree

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Oil and natural gas are the most reliable energy sources. Renewable sources such as wind and solar energy are helpful, but are not as reliable if there's no wind or it's cloudy.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

What should be the goal of the criminal justice system?

The criminal justice system goal should be to protect the public from harmful criminals and rehabilitate those imprisoned as they "pay their dues" so they are equipped with job training to support themselves upon release as well as social and emotional preparation for their return to society. This would help decrease recidivism and the need for larger prisons.

Government has a responsibility to protect children from sexual exploitation during online activities.

Agree

Sharia law should not be accepted or incorporated in any form within the legal framework of the United States.

Agree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Felons and those with emotional instability should not own guns or have access to guns. Minors should be required to have a gun safety course in school.
