In the rarest of circumstances. I do not support using abortion as a form of birth control.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

I am not certain it is possible to "eradicate" the threat for good, but the first and most critical step right now is to secure our southern border. Second, properly vet all refugees we are accepting.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Public schools in Arizona already require measles and other vaccinations upon enrollment. But they also allow for medical and religious exemptions, which is appropriate. Unless there is a generous grant of exemptions, I do not support blanket requirements.

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

In Arizona, I support reducing the tax burden, even to the point of no income tax.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

State or federal, I would look for any overlap in government agencies and eliminate that overlap, even if that means eliminating certain agencies. I would also look to eliminate any wasteful spending. I would reduce regulations, which reduces the need for more expensive enforcement. I would seek to reduce the size of government where feasible. At the federal level, I would not support sending billions of dollars overseas to fight foreign wars, especially in the current inflationary economic environment.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

The border patrol encountered a record 234,000 illegal immigrants on our southern border in April alone. The level of illegal immigration we have experienced over the last 16 months is unsustainable. Yet, nothing has been done by the current administration to stem the tide of illegal immigration, and it is only getting worse.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

Ensuring a long-term sustainable water supply is a top legislative priority. The time has come to consider alternate water sources other than groundwater and surface water, whether that be by establishing a water pipeline from an alternate source and/or desalination. Transportation and infrastructure will also be a legislative priority. Third, promoting policies that will maintain a healthy economic environment in Arizona, especially in the face of an inevitable recession.

Agree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

CRT is a marxist theory developed in the early twentieth century by European philosophers. It is not based in fact or reality--it is a flawed philosophy and worldview. CRT categorizes and divides people solely on the basis of race. It is the epitome of racism.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Arizona currently has a pretty secure voting system. We do not allow ballot harvesting. Our mail-in ballot system has been in effect since 1991 and the security of it has only continued to improve. For mail-in ballots, there is a unique barcode on the envelope that is linked to the individual voter. Mail-in ballots must be signed and verified by the voter. In the last election, I was able to sign-up for and receive text notifications when my ballot was received and counted (based on the unique barcode). Arizona has early voting and has enacted laws to protect against voter intimidation at polling places. My only concern would be to ensure that any system of counting ballots is a closed system that cannot be manipulated through a network or the Internet.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. The greatest threat to domestic security is an open southern border. The second greatest threat to domestic security would be the incendiary rhetoric espoused by certain members of our ruling class, including the President, and the growing corruption among the federal bureaucracy.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

Option A comes closest to my views. A government has certain basic moral obligations, for example, providing a sustainable power grid and a clean water supply to its citizens.
