RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Although personally I feel abortion should never be an option , as a women, I do understand how complicated women's reproductive health issues can be. I will always defend a women who is faced with the life altering decision of having to terminate her pregnancy to preserve her own life. No mother should have to make that decision and if she has to make that decision she should be able to grieve the loss of her child without fear of legal and criminal repercussions. I am also open to discussing it being acceptable in cases of rape and incest.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Disagree
I strongly support the Hyde Amendment, which currently forbids the use of federal funds for abortions except in cases of life endangerment, rape or incest. I believe that rule should be used as our guide for applying state and local funds as well. A mother terminating a pregnancy to save her own life should not be denied that procedure because she cannot afford it.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Disagree
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
As a Small Business owner we are often faced with archaic and confusing laws. That is why I am so frustrated with Biden's new legislation that grows the IRS and will target small business owners. Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy and we must ensure they can operate without burdensome tax regulations.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Arizona has been fiscally responsible since the great recession when liberal governor Janet Napolitano crafted budgets billions over what our state could spend. I will always prioritize saving our tax dollars.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
As a church attendee and daughter of Pastors, I believe that the government should never inhibit places of worship.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
None. My family founded a non-profit preschool for Gilbert children, and we need to never force a government mandate on any school, business, or person.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Secure our Southern Border where individuals from over 114 countries have came through. A country without borders is not a country.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Biden's executive order didn't allow Border Patrol to spread gravel on the dirt road at the border so the vehicles could have safe passage. Wall materials are stuck at the border with no place to go. When I spoke with Border Patrol they said the Biden Administration was looking to bury wall materials in the ground. They are out of touch and have no knowledge of how complex and dangerous the situation is at our state's border. It is time Arizona protects it's border since the fed refuses to do so
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Immigration should be allowed for the reunification of families, admitting immigrants with skills that are valuable to the U.S. economy, and protecting refugees. Allowing individuals to skip the line is wrong
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
Dollars should follow the students. One way to ensure students and teachers see more of the money already collected for them is to trim the multiple levels of management and administrative oversight that are currently in place. The state needs to amend its 35-year-old school-funding formula so that we have a more comprehensive plan for our schools and their funding.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
Judeo-Christian beliefs didn’t just lay the foundation; it continuously reveals the necessity of truth and integrity in ensuring natural rights.Humans were created with independent thought and the ability to communicate those thoughts which in itself shows that Free Speech is essential to the human existence. Further, the Judio-Christian values of civility, mercy, and kindness guide the laws which prevent encroachment on another’s freedoms and their own pursuit of happiness.
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Neutral
I believe marriage is God ordained and is sacred. I don't believe it's the governments job or place to define marriage or use that definition in regards to controlling our personal lives.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Choose not to answer
I believe that truth, facts and science should be taught in our schools. It the job of teachers to teach historical fact.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I was raised a Christian and have been a Pastor's child my entire life. My parents taught me to have a personal relationship with God and that relationship governs how I live my life and guides me for what I try to ascribe to. I believe in servant leadership and that is why I am running for the legislature.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Obama's federal voter registration form undermines the bedrock of our country. New York City now allows illegal immigrants to vote and that undermines the rights of citizens of the US
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
The Federal voter registration form which doesn't require proof of citizenship needs to be discarded immediately and follow Arizona's law of two valid forms of ID. Ballot Harvesting was banned, but hearing about the former Mayor of border town San Luis collecting ballots last election is worrisome.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism and hate is not a tenant of Christianity and as followers of God is it our job to love. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Disagree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
Our country has the safest fuel production in the world, yet the Biden administration would rather get fuel from socialist countries with zero environmental regulations like Venezuela.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
I am running for the state legislature. As a Representative I know that my purpose is to craft a state budget, support our local economy by crafting policies that help with economic growth, and adhere to the constitution.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
I am VERY fiscally conservative. Our state must live within its means or we will have a repeat of 2009 when our legislature was forced to "sell" government buildings to pay debts. I am a huge proponent of the 2nd amendment. As a woman, the 2nd amendment affords me the chance to protect myself and my family. In 2017, I lost my precious stepdaughter to an act of domestic violence. Had she had a gun to defend herself she might have been able to survive her attack.
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
Did not answer
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
My priorities are putting more money back in our pockets as the Biden administration refuses to tackle inflation, creating Arizona legislation that allows our law enforcement to do what the federal government isn't, which is enforcing our nations laws. Figuring out our water management crisis is a top priority to me. I am a third generation Arizonan and I don't want my children and grandchildren to be forced out of the state due to lack of water. I would also focus on protecting victims, Arizona's children and focus on domestic violence programs to ensure no other women is senselessly taken from this world by the hands of an abuser.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
Our law enforcement is under attack. The press and liberal activists demonize the people who save our lives, and that is why local law enforcement can't fill open positions. New York police officers have experienced first hand how taking about qualified immunity has effect their ability to police and recruit new officers. We must respect law enforcement again!
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
I think mental health in this country needs attention and we need Resrouces and reform in mental health programs. Taking funding from police is not the answer for getting better mental health programs in the United States.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
All law abiding citizens should be able to have access to firearms.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
