QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
The only exception I have would be the super rare situations where there is no possible way for the baby to make it to birth based on our current medical capabilities. One example would be an ectopic pregnancy. Also, I have known many women who have had to experience the heartbreaking tragedy of having a miscarriage and needing medication to progress through the process. I would not consider this an abortion, because the baby is no longer alive. However, some of the medications used in these situations are considered abortion drugs and a distinction needs to be made before banning these types of medications.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Disagree
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
I would support lowering the gas tax and evaluating current taxes on all tax payer and businesses for practical reductions that would make Michigan more attractive to people out of state looking for somewhere to relocate, and for businesses looking for a place to establish themselves.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
I believe there are opportunities to reduce spending in almost all areas of government. We need accountability in Lansing by evaluating and auditing departments for unnecessary layers of administration and wasteful, pointless projects.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
Absolutely not. High school needs to prepare students to transition to the next stage of their life, whether that is starting a career, attending college, or a trade school. But taxpayers should not bear the burden of paying for the higher education of younger generations, especially with the sky-rocketing cost of college and the rising rate of student drop out - neither of which is being adequately addressed. I have no doubt these trends would continue to rise if college was taxpayer-funded.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
None.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C - unless there are comparable programs available to replace Medicaid and Medicare, we should not abolish these programs. We should eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy and wasteful spending to make these programs more efficient and sustainable.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
None.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Our intelligence community should be focused on identifying threats and protecting U.S. citizens. They should not be focused on persecuting law-abiding citizens who are speaking up at school board meetings or advancing the agenda of any one political party.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Disagree
Terrorist organizations and corrupt politicians have used the power struggle between Israel and Palestine to create and promote a narrative that Israeli people hate Palestinian people, and vice versa. The truth is most of them want to live their lives in peace but are trapped in the middle of the conflict while being fed misinformation to continue the narrative of division and hate.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Build the wall. Support our Border Patrol. Enforce our immigration laws.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
People escaping persecution and other eligible people who are willing to go through the immigration process legally.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
Parents should not be required to send their kids to schools that do not respect their values or their rights as parents. School districts must be held accountable to their stakeholders. The best way to hold them accountable is to have the ability to remove your child if they are not providing a safe and healthy environment for your child to learn and thrive.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Agree
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Any curriculum that includes aspects of CRT need to be removed from all public schools. Intermediate School Districts should be banned from using tax dollars to fund CRT focused professional development trainings to teachers, administrators, or school board members. Public school districts should be required to cancel membership with any association that has been identified as promoting the toxic ideology of CRT or Black Lives Matter.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a strong Christian who believes in traditional conservative values. I believe we are blessed to live in the greatest country in the world. And with that blessing comes a responsibility for each of us to do our part to ensure our country remains the land of freedom, liberty, and opportunity. Our forefathers knew that in order for the United States to remain a beacon of freedom, we would have to fight for it. Maybe not with muskets or cannons. But with courage against opposition, strength in our foundational beliefs, and a willingness to serve. Voting is the least of our duties as American citizens. We all have a responsibility to be informed, educated, and involved with all levels of government: local, state, and federal. Theodore Roosevelt said "If freedom is worth having, if the right of self-government is a valuable right, then the one and the other must be retained exactly as our forefathers acquired them, by labor..."
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I am required to show ID to buy alcohol, pick up my child from school, board an airplane, etc. The future of our country is decided by those we elect into office. Which means the integrity of our elections is pivotal to our future. We can not ensure our elections are legitimate unless we are as diligent about the person casting a vote as we are about the person boarding an airplane.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
No universal absentee ballots. Photo ID requirements. Strict and consistent enforcement of existing election laws across all precincts.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
There are groups in the United States who are determined to stoke the flames of racism to promote division and anger. These are the organizations that pose a threat to domestic security.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A - environmental regulations are necessary in some circumstances but should always be practical and balanced.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Agree
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
Secure the country from foreign attacks, keep order with laws and courts, and provide limited public services.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
https://youtu.be/RSoOcDnNlqw
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No.
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
My goals are simple. CRT, SEL, and restorative justice practices are removed from schools. Guarantee our government can never again mandate unconstitutional and harmful lockdowns. Ensure real election integrity for future elections and hold accountable anyone who attempts to undermine it. Isolate Michigan's economy from Biden and Whitmer's Build Back Better agenda. I am not a politician. And I am not seeking office to create personal wealth or notoriety. I am a conservative American who is frustrated with the direction of our government and is committed to making the government work for us, not the other way around.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Agree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
No more restrictions are warranted. We need to protect our constitutionally protected God-given right to bear arms.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Disagree
