QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

As a practicing Catholic I cannot condone abortion.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Disagree

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

The tax code needs to be simplified. I suggest study into a flat tax rate.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

I would reduce and repeal government subsides for green energy as outlined in the Inflation Reduction Act.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

I support vouchers school choice, and have the funding follow the child K-12. Not every person is suited to attend college. Vocational schools and apprenticeships are critically important for a thriving economy. I recommend that all post high school education or training be the responsibility of the student.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Individuals and businesses have the right to deny services to people or organizations that are incongruent with their value system.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

As we have learned from the Covid lockdowns the state and county level government were biased against all religions, closing these institutions, yet keeping pot, and liquor stores open as essential businesses. I would recommend that we not allow any "government" to have such emergency powers ever again. The sovereign people of the United States can make this decision individually.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

I agree with option C. Most people in the US have paid into the Medicare/Medicaid system for the majority of their working life, and deserve the benefits of the system. If changes are to be made, like raising the age for participation eligibility requirements, this would be a longer term strategy. Currently, Medicare and Medicaid systems have a staggering 30% fraud and abuse rate in the administration of these programs. This percentage has not changed over the last decade. I believe there is much to be gained by building integrity into the system.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

There should be few circumstances where a government or employer should mandate vaccinations. The individual should be able to make this decision and bare the consequences of their action.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

The greatest impact to the United States would be to close the souther boarder and only allow legal immigrants to enter. Secondly, we need to be fully prepared militarily. Thirdly, to be proactive in identifying with our allies- dangerous groups and people who wish us harm by their ideology be they foreign or domestic.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Disagree

I would let Israel decide. This is not our issue.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

We are not a sovereign nation with an open boarder. " A nation that cannot control its border is not a nation" Ronald Regan. This Biden policy has created, crime, drug and human trafficking. It has created burdens on our educational and medical systems. Intended or not they have created a larger welfare state.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I believe people who immigrate to the U.S. must support the Constitution of the U.S. and be willing to learn English and integrate into our society. They need to have skills, or education and talents that we need. They need to respect America traditions and culture. Qualifications to be allowed to immigrate should be after background checks, and document verification. Allowing anyone in for asylum has not worked well for the U.S. or the "refugee". If there were a specific situation like a war etc.. that would cause mass migration that would be an exception. But again those seeking asylum would need to be vetted.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

I believe the public schools in Colorado have failed our students with only 35% reading and writing at grade level. The "government" schools need competition. Our schools are indoctrinating students not teaching them to become critical thinkers. I agree with school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools. It should be the parents that are responsible for their children's education not the government.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I believe it is the lack of religious framework that is causing much of the deconstruction of our culture, directed and fortified by post modern academics, and the media. Historically, the families and our religions drove our culture. Now, we have people without a moral code making decisions on life and liberty. If you do not have a strong character rooted in God, you will never become an independent thinker that is empathetic and just.

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Strongly Agree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

If the U.S. is fundamentally racist, the United States of America would not be the land where everyone wants to live. America is exceptional, that is why immigrants want to come here to have an opportunity for a better life.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Catholic and I am finding my way back to the church. Not that I left the beliefs, traditions and customs, it was more that I was not nurturing my relationship with God, like I do now. I love the Lord with all my heart and soul. I believe in the 10 Commandments and work hard to become the best person I can be. I am imperfect for sure. I have committed to promote life, liberty and the dignity of every human being.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

The reduce the number of fraudulent votes we need to have some sort of unique identifier. Until we have another more advance method of identifying a person the picture ID is the best we have at this time.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

I would recommend no more voting by mail. Unless you are in the DOD military and overseas. I recommend no drop boxes. Vote on the day of the election only no long voting period. I would demand all SOS offices be made accountable to clean up their voter rolls, and have an independent auditor validate.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I believe there are groups of people that benefit in dividing Americans. I do not believe it is a domestic security issue.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Why would this be done? How could that be administered? What percentage of blackness, browness, whiteness? Many people in history deserve reparations, for being enslaved against their will, Jews, Uyghurs, Irish, Indians, etc.... This is a fool's errand only to divide America.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

I believe that stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. In Weld county Colorado 8,000 jobs were lost in a stroke of a pen. Where are those families now? Inflation rate, due to many of the green energy regulations will create the highest inflation rate in the nation for Coloradans at 14.9%.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

I see the energy crisis as orchestrated by the Biden administration. Shutting down the Keystone pipeline, not approving drilling leases etc, have made us dependent on our enemies for fuel. Just 2 years ago the U.S. was energy independent. Remember? Fracking is critical to extract fossil fuels. How about nuclear energy? Let's face it, wind and solar are not mature enough to give us reliable fuel storage. The US will need multiple fuel energy strategies including the use of fossil fuels.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

Public safety and protecting our individual rights under the Constitution and Bill of Rights.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Years ago standing up for our flag, saying the pledge of alliance, praying, and singing our national anthem were common place. Today there are people in power that are ashamed of our country and traditions. I for one love American. I believe this country is exceptional.

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

I have witnesses that will verify I stand by these words. Boulder Republican Women, the Boulder County Republicans have all heard my positions. I was a guest on the Kim Monson radio show. My information card that I leave with voters describes my conservative values. I have several interviews with media coming up in the next week.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I am not a career politician. I am a Register Nurse, a wife, mother, sister, veteran and neighbor. I decided to run for office because I saw how Colorado and the current leadership was destroying our beautiful state. We have the highest auto theft rate in the nation, we have the second highest fentanyl overdose resulting in death in the nation. This death rate can be directly correlated to the decriminalizing of fentanyl, heroin, cocaine, etc. making possession a misdemeanor. The homeless population and the encampments have made our city parks, library, and creek paths unsafe. Our kids are failing in school. Only 35% of the kids in Colorado can read and write at grade level. Do you know that the democrats unanimously defeated the Parent's Bill of Rights? Why would democrats not want parents involved in their children's education, especially when they are not meeting standard? Colorado is not affordable. We have the highest inflation rate in the nation, hovering at 14.9%. This is unacceptable. Governor Polis and the democrats have made Colorado less safe, less affordable, and undereducated. If elected I will commit to reintroducing the Parent's Bill of Rights, I will commit to working to get all narcotic possession a felony. Lastly, I will focus on decreasing regulation on individuals and businesses. Colorado can be prosperous again.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I support police funding and enforcement by the DA to convict the criminals.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

Robbing Peter to pay Paul, is not going to solve this issue. These are complex issues and we need people like myself to discuss the issues identify the root causes and then come up with multiple solutions, that could be effective.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The only restrictions would be not to allow felons to purchase a gun, nor individuals with some mental health issues.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

Remember a person pulled the trigger. Do we sue the automobile manufacture for car related deaths?
