Mankind's ability and willingness to sometimes take an unrealistic path is a flag of caution. The Constitution was developed to protect all mankind.
16. Briefly list three (3) political or legislative issues of most concern to you, and explain why each is important to you.
(1) Adam Smith's willingness to eliminate 50% of benefits for soldiers/veterans and their families. The loss of 40 lives veterans waiting to be seen at VA medical centers. This is an important issue to me because we need to keep our military strong at home and abroad. (2) Economic development/jobs must be monitored and developed to keep our economy strong. I strongly support a minimum wage of $15 an hour. (3) Education/immigration are very important issues that must be resolved.
17. Should abortion be allowed under extenuating circumstances? If so, what circumstances?
I feel that a woman has the freedom of choice.
18. Based on the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution, please arrange the following entities, starting with the highest source of authority, and continue the list in descending order of authority, skipping any that do not apply: Academia, Congress, Constitution, God, Industry, Media, Professional Sports, Supreme Court, Voters.
The entities that you've selected are very much considered and designed for continuous discussion as to which order they should be applied. The answer to this lies with one's cultural beliefs, morals, values, principles and ethics.
19. Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in civil rights and human rights, but everything that is considered cvil is not always right, and everything considered right is not always civil. The answer lies in the structuring of the words civil, human rights.
