RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I believe in the sanctity of human life. I oppose elective abortion for personal or social convenience. I support the following exceptions: rape/incest; the life or health of the mother is in serious jeopardy; the fetus has severe defects that will not allow the baby to survive beyond birth.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I strongly agree that PP should not receive any funds to perform abortions. These clinics could remain open to provide other services - such as mammograms.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

I believe in the sanctity of human life. I oppose assisted suicide and euthanasia. Allowing a person to die from natural causes by removing a patient from artificial means of life support, in my opinion, is not assisted suicide or euthanasia.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Replace the B&O tax with a simple, fair, and equitable business tax without favors or carve-outs. Lower excise taxes and the sales tax rate. The revenue forecast places WA in a good position to provide tax relief for families.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

If your question is referencing federal spending, then I would start with reforming major entitlements such as Medicare and Social Security - without affecting those who are retired or near retirement. WA State must reign in the spending and review/cut programs that have had little to no positive impact.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

If the building itself is deemed unsafe.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
