RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I believe in the Bible, and the bible specifies life begins at first breath. This is when the soul enters the body. There are a few other passages that indicate penalties for someone who attacks a woman and it causes a miscarriage. I believe in this as well. I am a biblical scholar and follower of Jesus.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Neutral
The government does not fund planned parenthood as far as I am aware. I am focused on financial issues and making our state use tax dollars to increase revenue. I want to fight inflation without people losing their investments in property.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Neutral
This is not an issue I know anything about. There are already lots of career politicians who can decide this one in our house and senate. I am here to stop our legislature from wasting our tax dollars. I am not a crusader, I am a finance guy. We have NO finance professionals in the state senate. Nobody is looking out for your wallet.
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Flat tax, consumption tax, and wealth tax. No more wasting billions on the IRS and accounting firms because our laws are a mess.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
I am an expert in determining return on investment (ROI) and cost-benefit analysis (CBA). I could reduce our spending by more than 50% just by forcing the people who create bills to justify the expense. Right now, they just approve billions without any financial oversight.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Agree
I am a finance guy - we need to be able to compete with countries like China and India, who are taking American jobs because people can't afford college here. There is a HUGE return on investment for this. If you believe in keeping jobs here, you should absolutely agree with this. As an Information Technology CIO, we are forced to outsource and use people off-shore because we can't find enough Americans who can program.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Neutral
Money is green. Successful businesses focus on the green. I'm here to make your tax dollars go farther, and cut spending.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Under no circumstances. First Amendment.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
I am actually an expert on this one, and like Donald Trump, I believe in Universal Healthcare because it would save more than 40% of the money we spend right now. I would need to see a comprehensive study done to see if the government or the private sector would be most efficient at running this. The private sector could bid on this perhaps saving us more money than a government solution. Medicare has a 10% overhead, if the private sector could do better than that then we should consider proposals.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
I don't want my employees to die in the middle of a critical project or get my other employees sick so I have to shut down and lose millions. As a business owner, I should have to right to decide what protections I can offer my employees. I am about protecting your tax dollars, I am not interested in political agendas that do not protect your money. I lost hundreds of thousands on projects due to widespread illnesses. How do you want your tax money protected? There is a HUGE cost to losing your workers for weeks or even months. It's about business for me, it's all business.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
We need to stop supporting Saudi Arabia. For more than two centuries, Wahhabism has been Saudi Arabia's dominant faith. They are responsible for ISIL (ISIS), the World Trade Center Attacks, and they fund multiple terrorists groups. Meanwhile, Ducey leased out a ton of land to them at $50 per acre without charging them for water. Millions in free water to the people who killed thousands of Americans. For the life of me, I don't understand why Ducey gave them this land, it is OUR land and they are draining our farmers dry. If you actually read this, demand that Ducey IMMEDIATLY stop giving away our resources to the guys who killed many of my friends and co-workers. I saw the bodies fall, my building of 40 families had 6 people not come home that day. And can we STOP arming them?
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Choose not to answer
This has NOTHING to do with Arizona. I am focused on finance, I have no idea what this has to do with my campaign. I don't have an educated response, so rather than make up stuff, I will tell you if this was part of my position as a State Senator I would have researched it. It isn't, so I am spending my time trying to save our state money and bring in new revenue. As a voter, do you want me to waste your tax dollars on something I can't control?
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Agree
There are literally thousands of bodies in the Arizona Desert. We need to save these people's lives and allow them to petition for admittance through legal means. However, to stop illegal immigration, one of my best friends works for ICE and he said the wall is a half measure, to fix this problem we need to go after the people who hire them. And when we build a barrier to save lives, it must be done by SKILLED workers.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Those who follow the established procedures of the federal government. The problem is Corporations love the low paid labor, and they control the government with their lobbyists. They WANT migrant workers, so the problem won't stop until we get lobbyists out of our government.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
The voucher programs are great for children with special needs. I do not agree with voucher expansion without removing the spending cap.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Neutral
Our system of government was actually built upon the Greco-Roman system of government. I believe this question is inaccurate because they were pagans - and most Americans are not pagans. This is a history question. I read a lot.
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Neutral
This is not a topic I am an expert on, I am a finance guy. Again, I am here to reduce spending and increase revenue. I would need to do a lot more research to see the financial impact of any laws like this. I see a lot of laws with no financial study behind them, EVERYTHING has a cost. I'm here to make you money.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Choose not to answer
Marriage is a legal contract. This question lacks the understanding of laws.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Nobody teaches this CRT. The only acronym that resembles that is taught in Medical School and is called CRRT which is Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy. I haven't met anyone who knows that CRT is.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
My spiritual beliefs and values were instilled in me by my parents. My father is a Deacon, his father was a Baptist preacher. My wife is an ordained minister. My mother is a Christian writer who has several books published and hundreds of articles. I draw on the Sermon on the Mount to guide me in my decisions. I can tell you this - I am the ONLY real Christian running for senate. I am very open to a debate with John Kavanagh on the bible. He can't cite a single chapter or verse. I am a Christian encyclopedia.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
In Arizona, nobody can vote without a photo ID right now. So I agree with the current law.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Well, considering there are already hundreds of people proposing laws on this and wasting your tax dollars, I would not propose any laws. While they waste your money on some kind of competition for "who has the most voting bills" I would be saving you BILLIONS.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Rioting certainly indicates that it seems to be a threat to domestic security. Isn't that axiomatic?
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
That would be against the first amendment. Reparations should be given based on evidence proving financial loss regardless of race. We are a nation of laws based on the constitution.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
Clearly with our water and fire issues we have failed the people in our state by being reactive instead of pro-active. Republicans are now scrambling to enact stricter laws and regulations. I would have done this pro-actively to save our taxpayers billions. Richard Nixon created the EPA
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Neutral
There needs to be a balance between economic development and public safety. I have friends who have water that you can light on fire. Drinking water. There are safe ways to do these extractions, but too many corporations only care about profits and not life. As someone who believes in life, I cannot condone the corporations who are irresponsible with their extraction process. One of my best friends owns a sizeable oil company, and they ensure their methods of extraction are safe.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To maximize our tax dollars to protect our democracy.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Moderate
I am a fiscal conservative. I am libertarian on social issues.
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
I have given dozens of interviews, none of them have aired. I am too boring - I care most about finance and how we use our tax dollars and increase our GDP. I am just not interesting enough because I am not interesting in blowing dog whistles. I want your vote because I care about protecting your money. You would think that would be what people care about the most, unfortunately it isn't.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No. I obey the law.
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I will represent ALL people in Arizona with my skills in Information Technology and Finance. I am by far the best candidate in any of the races to fight inflation. I have not found a single candidate that even understands inflation. If you care about your investments, how your taxes are spent, and increasing our GDP, I am the person you should vote for. If you want someone yelling at the top of their lungs about the political soup of the day, I'm not that guy. I'm here to cook you steak, not soup.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
This is the current operational state.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
Defunding the police is a terrible idea. Police are out-manned, out-gunned, and with the closure of almost all insane asylums they are being forced to handle issues that used to be handled in conjunction with asylums. Mental Health and Community programs should be funded separately. We desperately need a place to put the mentally ill so our police officers are not wasting their critical resources on mental illness calls.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed. I believe in the second amendment in its entirety.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Neutral
Dealers who sell weapons to known convicted felons should be prosecuted. Not all dealers know who they are selling to, thus my "neutral" stance.
