Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
At any time chosen by the woman and her doctor.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

There is a point in the dying when the quality of life does not justify what can be a tortuous period of time. We would not do that to a pet, nor should we do it to a human. Also, we may choose to reduce the suffering of those who love us.
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
This is an extraordinarily broad question. Certainly we should not under-tax the wealthy nor over-tax the poor.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
A few years ago I would have said, stop building that damn wall unless I can have the ladder concession. And get out of Afghanistan. Today I see us moving in the right direction.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Always. As citizens we owe it to each other and to ourselves to be fully vaccinated, unless otherwise recommended by our physician.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
That's not possible. However, we can maintain our vigilance and our government can respond accordingly. I would hope that eventually all faiths can coexist.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

We must not forget that we stole Palestinian land when the British were looking for someplace to move Jews post WWII. Even the United States did not want them!
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Instead, we must improve our immigration process. And frankly there is no way to "secure the border." It's just a campaign slogan.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
For many decades, the federal government has not created workable immigration rules and laws, including a dearth of immigration judges. All of us are, other than Native Americans, are offspring of immigrants. Anyone who has a legitimate reason for escaping their home country should be considered for entry to the U.S.

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

In some instances this "redirection" is simply creating new departments to manage mental health and community services. It is always appropriate to add more money to these services.
