QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?
None
Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.
Strongly Agree
I would say that chemical abortions are only safe when not administered. Chemical abortions should be out-lawed due to unsafe conditions for the mother as well as killing the baby.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
ECONOMY
Free enterprise and the right to private property are essential elements of a productive economic system.
Strongly Agree
What is your position on the minimum wage?
Minimum wage jobs were never intended to support a family. Business owners and other entities should not be forced to raise minimum wages.
Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?
No
Absolutely NOT!! None of these factors should ever be considered as related to decisions for investments. Our state has made excellent decisions in rejecting this trend with retirement investments.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
NONE!! Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Unfortunately there is a bill currently in the Oklahoma legislature that has failed in the Senate Committee - Health and Human Services that would have protected individuals from being forced to violate their moral/and religious beliefs. If elected I will bring this one up again because no worker or business should ever be forced to do work that goes against their moral/religious beliefs.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.
C. It is too late in the game to start defunding programs that we have had in place for decades. These programs have benefitted the taxpayers and was paid for by those who will or are now receiving this benefit.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
As a former public school principal and teacher I advocated for vaccines in order for students to enroll in a potentially safe environment. No longer do I have this same conviction. Covid opened my eyes to the dangers of vaccines that are not safe.
NATIONAL SECURITY
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
They are behind Biden's 30 by 30 plan. Our state has begun talks about taking back any land that has been sold to foreign entities/investors. Our state constitution prevents this from ever occurring. For more info https://www.facebook.com/LindaMurphyOk
Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?
Yes! Genesis 12:14 "I will bless those who bless you (Israel) and whoever curses you - I will curse".
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Nehemiah 2:17. "Come let us build the wall of Jerusalem, that we may no longer suffer derision". The US is suffering greatly because we are allowing our walls to be torn down and we are suffering derision and invasion. We must secure our borders today.
EDUCATION
The state should fund education by allowing dollars to follow the child through programs which protect parents' freedom to choose their child's school – public, private, or homeschool.
Agree
I support in providing tax credits for parents to use to pay for their child's education if they choose. I am also for trying to turn our public schools around so that those who cannot take advantage of such tax credits will have access to a quality education.
VALUES
Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.
Strongly Agree
The mutilation of our children should be considered a crime against children and should be prosecuted.
Parents should have the right to make decisions for their minor children.
Strongly Agree
Absolutely as long as it isn't abuse and or causing harm to their children. Schools should not be arbiter of making decisions for students that only their parents should be in control.
Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.
Strongly Disagree
NO! This would mean that we would all be guilty of mutilating a child.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.
Strongly Agree
No government should have this authority to change the God-ordained union nor should any other entity.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I was 12 years old when I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior and followed Him in baptism. I believe the Bible is the Holy Word of God and is without error. I believe that Jesus came to earth as a living sacrifice, was crucified, died, and rose again on the third day. His Holy Spirit lives within my heart and all decisions in my life are vetted under His guidance.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
In this time that we live in elections must be secure and fair. This can only happen when we have strict laws that only allow US citizens to vote.
States should join the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact which makes the Electoral College irrelevant.
Strongly Disagree
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No at all. Racism does occur but in every single human being because we are sinners. Laws have been created over the past few decades to counter racist actions from businesses, institutions, and persons. Unfortunately the Affirmative Action policy was one of the worst racist actions taken in the 60's and lasted until recently. The only domestic threat that has occurred this decade is when BLM brought violence against many cities - all in the name of justice. There was no justice only anarchy.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
This is Marxist ideology and should not be taught in our schools and universities as it has been for at least a decade. If taught it should be taught as an evil that has caused the demise of many governments and the slaughter of many people.
Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.
Strongly Agree
This seems so obvious but unfortunately Satan has cast his delusional net and has caught many into this foolish idea.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? (Select all that apply) A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost. C) Stricter environmental laws undermine U.S. energy independence and deter development of reliable electricity sources. D) Climate change is real and requires urgent policy action.
C. We have seen the negative effects of stricter environmental laws and policies which have profoundly harmed our economy.
What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?
Fossil Fuels have always provided for our demand. There should be studies to make this resource safe. At this time solar and wind energy have not made the contributions that were promised and are certainly not sustainable.
ABOUT YOU
Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.
No
Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.
No
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
Secure the borders and protect the citizenry.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.
Strongly Disagree
There is a need for funding programs that will help with those suffering from mental health issues but diverting funds from police would jeopardize our safety and security.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
None because we have a sufficient amount of laws in place that are needed at this time. Restrictions should be a state-by-state issue. Since criminals do not follow the laws more laws will not solve the problem.
Should teachers be allowed to carry guns at school?
Yes
Teachers who have been trained and vetted by the board of education should be allowed to carry a gun to prevent mass shootings at schools.
