QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

ectopic only or when the mothers life is at risk.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Abortion providers should not receive money. Using public money to fund Planned Parenthood is a gross misuse of tax payer dollars.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

I believe that God is the author of life and therefore, we don't belong to ourself. Therefore, I don't believe that we should legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

First of all, I am looking forward to learning about our taxation; it's rules and how our taxes are being spent. As a business owner (and even in my own personal finances), I know that spending is important to move forward and get things accomplished. Revenues must be received because they are the lifeblood of every endeavor. Also, spending is a given but unexplained, un-accounted-for spending is very detrimental. Taxes are a given. They're a part of life living in this great state of Oklahoma. However, taxation should be as low as feasible. I will know more about the specific changes to champion once I am able to see where the money is being spent. I like using our tax system to draw new business to our state and help Oklahoma be more competitive in the job market so we can keep our brightest students here at home. I would like to see incentives for big businesses (mega projects) to reach out and use local, small businesses so everyone wins instead of creating an unfair competition for jobs and dollars. We must streamline or simplify the tax code, and then audit for waste, fraud and abuse.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

The state auditor has uncovered waste and fraud, from state department of health, education, and is currently performing the first full audit of state department of education, and a forensic audit of the department of commerce contract in state parks - as legislators we must take action on these findings to be responsible with the people's money.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

No

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

Under no circumstances should "government" close churches.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Under no circumstances should any government agency require it in any organization. Oklahoma is an "at will" state. I would like to have conversations to see what other options are on the table for private schools or businesses when it comes to vaccinations. I would start from the position of a business owner has the right to choose what they want to do with their business. Let the competitive market decide what is best for a specific private organization.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Don't fund their efforts, for starters.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

I agree with this statement, but it is out of my purview as an Oklahoma state legislator.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Out of my purview... we already have an immigration policy in place that allows for legal immigration. I'm for legal immigration.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Agree

Yes, I am for school choice. However, there are many options that I feel have not been discussed. It all comes down to "funding". I have not seen a proposal yet that I can fully get behind. Parents must have a choice, but we must figure out a fair funding model. I'm ok with having to "pay for your choice", but you should only have to pay once. As a business owner, I would first want to ensure that current funding is efficient and effective before I determined the best way to change funding.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

The very "idea" of our democratic republic requires Judeo-Christian values to work correctly. Freedom without morals is a dangerous model.

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Strongly Agree

I strongly agree with this statement. However, as "government" (and its people) moves away from God, it will move away from the boundaries put in place by God. As a result, government may establish new boundaries that fit its values, but that doesn't "change" the truth that God established marriage to be ordained, sacred, legal between one man and one woman. A "new definition" doesn't mean a "new truth".

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

The Apostles' Creed. I am a Christian. Belief leads to action. There is an Absolute Truth established by God and we are invited to live by this Truth (with a capital "T").

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Oklahoma's present voting practices are in good shape. No changes are necessary. Nationally, we need to follow Oklahoma! Voter ID required, remove people from voting rolls automatically upon death, tighten laws on absentee voting to name a few.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. The radical left, anti-American narrative is a threat to domestic security.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

I disagree with the idea of this statement. "Reparations" can mean a lot of different things. Broad, blanket reparations are not sustainable. America is a melting pot of nationalities. Throughout or history, every nationality has had its turn at being racially discriminated against. Let's learn from mistakes and move on without continuing to repeat them.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

I'm for fracking. However, fracking is not needed when the present administration has shifted to importing most of our oil. I'm a fan of drastically cutting our imports of oil and becoming for self sustaining. At that point, we can see where we are and determine the benefits/consequences of expanding fracking.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

I agree with our founding fathers when they wrote in the Declaration of Independence, that, as men we have certain inalienable rights given to us BY GOD. "To secure these rights, governments are instituted among men". We establish government in order to ensure that our rights are guaranteed and protected. GOVERNMENT DOES NOT GIVE RIGHTS TO PEOPLE!

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

I am conservative but I'm not a fan of "mandating" conservative values for people. That would be doing the very thing we're trying to eliminate.

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

You can look up my voting record as a citizen for the past 16 years and confirm my conservative participation in voting. https://tulsaworld.com/community/sandsprings/news/five-candidates-vying-for-hd-66-seat-seek-to-set-themselves-apart/article_e98f121e-c47b-11ec-b545-6f2e7cc777cb.html

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I have 15 years experience as an award winning high school teacher and coach. I have 10 years of experience leading the transformation of a 30 year old non-profit brand (Shepherd's Fold Ranch - A Christian Summer Camp for kids) back to award winning status. I have 10 years experience starting a national consulting firm and growing it to award winning status with a client base that represents over $500M in annual revenues. My main goal is to use my experience as a school teacher and coach, non profit leader and small business owner to Protect Our Oklahoma Values and Keep The Feds Out Of Our State! The 4 areas that I will focus on are #1 - Protect our Constitution. #2 - Ensure Election Integrity. #3 - Create Accountability in our State Department of Education in what is being required to TEACH to our children and what is being SPENT with our taxes. #4 - Protect and Promote our small business owners while expanding our states economy.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I agree with the idea of this statement. However, there are circumstances where authority at every level is abused. To think otherwise would be naive. Because of this reality, it would be reckless to use a single blanket statement to address this issue.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

I disagree with the idea behind this statement. However, as a business owner, I know the importance of accountability with money. In business, before you go cutting spending or looking for more revenues, you have to know where and how your current money is being spent. I would need to see where the numbers are before I could truly have an opinion on this statement.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

"The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed." From there, we have to use wisdom and discernment. Initially, I would say "No restrictions".

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

Guns don't kill people. People kill people. The only time a gun dealer or manufacturer would be liable would be if they knowingly and willingly sold a gun to a convicted killer or a known person of concern.
