QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

none

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

We must also continue to press our state and federal officials for bills that stop it

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Continue to change the code that will enable families to make a differences. Need to repealing the Obamacare individual mandate, expanding the child tax credit, removing most marriage penalties, expanding 529 plans for K-12 private schooling, lowering personal income tax rates, and lowering the tax burden on employers.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

In Tennessee we have a surplus because of smart budget management. At the federal level a reduction of spending needs to be reduced by making government smaller. Reduce the overburden regulations that require so many personal in unneeded jobs. Reduce government handouts and stop the unnecessary funding of illegal immigration. Stop the funding to nations who don't like us and stop abortion funding at all levels. Stop funding of liberal policies that hurt America. This is a loaded questions that even economic experts have different of opinion. Regardless, our debt is now 30 trillion and growing with the funding of Ukraines war with Russia.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

If it goes against there bible, they should be able to say no.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

Totally agree! We kept our church open and the spiritual needs were strengthen and met. Our church grew in the midst of the outbreak.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

B. Healthcare should be affordable to all Americans. Our healthcare should be high-quality health care that is free of political and social agendas.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

never

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Educate and ensure we are not funding those countries that are allowing terrorist cells to hide in their countries. We must continue to wrong with our allies in tracking the illegal activity that could led to future terrorist attacks. Empower our military to use the full force of its power to destroy our enemies that threaten our peace and safety. Continue to track those who come to our country and then attempt to impose their belief that they run from. Ensure that Islamic terrorism does not make its way into our education system through the classroom.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

Since 14 May, 1948 Israel has been at war. They have never been allowed to live in peace and have been subjected to giving up land for peace. This still has not worked and the opposite side keeps putting more demands. I will always stand with Israel!

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

This is not a civil rights issues nor a issue of compassion. Instead this is a liberal issue that is hurt the very fabric of our nation. Even the Hispanic population on the southern border who have lived there for centuries, are demanding secure. WE must start putting up the wall that President Trump started. Under his leadership moral with our Border Patrol was at an all time high. Today moral is very low and many are walking away. 59% of the agents are Hispanic and they know its wrong.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Legal immigration and everyone should get in line.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

In Tennessee the large portion of students using school choice are minorities. Competition never hurt anyone, instead it push others to perform at a higher level.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I look at the signers of our Declaration of Independence and many were people of faith. Our nation is a Christian nation and those coming here should know that.

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

God created man and woman and I read no other genders.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Strongly Agree

Been married 39 years to my bride and we both agree that is what our bible clearly states.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

I have a white daughter in-law, an African-American son in-law and another daughter in-law from Germany. My wife and I happen to be of Mexican descent and before that we proclaim to be Christians who are proud Americans. While I love my culture and my upbringing, I am American first not based on the color of my skin. Our family gathering are not about race but instead about our faith in God and love for one another. No need for CRT to be in schools.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian man saved by the grace of God. I believe the Bible from cover to cover. I believe in the father, the son and the Holy Spirit. My values and worldview is biblically based and are my guide in my daily walk.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

All should be required to provide and ID

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

That our voter logs be cleared up yearly, and all states require an ID be provided. Enforce laws that prohibit illegals from voting period.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I believe we still have pockets of racism, but they are very small. However, I DO NOT believer it is a threat to our security. I served in the US Army with folks of all colors and we trained together and fought in war together. Never once did race become a factor. I am a pastor and have been in and currently in multicultural church. Liberals and the media are the ones making it a threat.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

Many of my family members work in the industry and when Biden came into office he wrecked the industry. The end result are lost jobs, higher fuel cost and a dependance on imported oil. We were a higher export during the Trump era.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

1. Limited government 2. Individual freedom 3. Rule of Law. 4. Peace through strength 5. free market 6. fiscal responsibility 7. Human dignity 8. right to bear arms. 9. less regulation

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

never

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I am the right choice for the job. Having previously served as a County Commissioner for eight years, I know how government works. I want to ensure no unfunded mandates are passed to the counties. That I am a pro-life, pro-family, pro 2nd Amendment and will fight to uphold them all. Will fight to provide funding for our law enforcement agencies across this state. Support parent rights in dealing with the children in school and out of school. Always stand for Constitutional rights

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

My son is a law enforcement office and deserves to be protected has he protects our community.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

If our communities are in need of funding, then they must request through the proper channels. NEVER should these funds come form our men and women in blue. Protect the BLUE!

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

NO restrictions are needed. Responsible gun owner are not the problem, the criminal element is.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

never
