QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Life is the first right given to us by God and the Constitution. It begins at conception, it is sacred, and it violates the basic Constitutional right to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness. While the ramifications are complex, the basic issue is simple; life is sacred, and abortion should not be allowed.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

The government should NOT fund the killing of innocents. To do so would violate one of the Ten Commandments, thou shall not murder.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Citizens of this country should be free from interference in their lives by their government. No one should be required to provide services contrary to their moral and/or religious beliefs. In a society with free enterprise, there will always be someone willing to provide a requested service. Encouraging free will, and the right o exercise it, are paramount to a free society as envisioned by our Founding Fathers.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

None.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Follow and enforce our current existing laws.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Disagree

It would be helpful if people knew the true history of the region, before asserting the options presented in this question.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

None of the above. Those who have the ability to choose the insurance of their choice should always be given that opportunity. Our current laws provide for those who have a medical necessity to obtain healthcare if they cannot afford it. Emergency rooms cannot decline healthcare to those in need.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

None.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Simplification and transparency. Everyone should be able to see how much tax they are paying. A consumption tax is more fair to the people than a progressive income tax. Earnings by people exercising initiative, sacrifice and hard work should not be penalized, but instead, rewarded. People should have an incentive to be as productive as possible, and to earn as much as they can. By taxing income rather than spending, our existing tax system discourages individuals from saving for their future. Less savings results in more people being dependent on their government for support. Free Enterprise is harmed by the income tax, and it creates separation and distrust between the people and their government. Our current system also allows government to pry into the personal activities of the people. That was NOT the intent of our Founding Fathers.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Our current budgeting process encourages wasteful spending by government across the board. We need to change the way that our budgeting process works. Today, budgets are based on what was spent in the previous year. If all of the money is not spent, bureaucratic agencies are encouraged to spend that excess for things that are not necessary, in order to receive more money in the following year's budget. There is no incentive for the government to spend less. We need to budget based upon what is truly needed. We now have a $5 Billion surplus here in Arizona. Even though we now have a surplus, we need a top down review to assure that money is being spent wisely and appropriately for the citizens of Arizona.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Some people are better suited to a trade school than a university. Today, approximately 56% of the Arizona State budget goes to education (K-12), and that does not include additional income to our public schools from sources such as federal grants. Much of the money allocated to our children's education is wasted. Those in charge of taxpayer-funded public education need to be more efficient in the way they spend our money. Each child should receive a public education through high school.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Our federal government, under the current administration, is failing to satisfy its Constitutional obligations to protect the States from invasion. Our country can't afford to continue to allow illegal immigration, and I am opposed to it. Legal immigration should be allowed by people of good moral character and the expectation that they can provide for themselves.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

People who have a “good moral character,” are able to take care of themselves, and will not unreasonably burden our healthcare or education systems.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

The money needs to follow the child.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

We need police officers to keep people safe. They can't do their jobs if constantly in fear that they will be held personally responsible for any damages that they may cause in the line of duty. We also need young people to want to be police officers for the common good, and without qualified immunity, fewer people will enter the field of law enforcement.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

We need a strong police presence to keep our streets safe from criminals.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Convicted violent felons should not own guns. In a society where more people own guns, citizens are more civil to one another. The public is more safe if more good guys have guns and can carry them openly. Our Founding Fathers knew that the people need guns to protect them from the possible tyranny of their government. Every time guns are taken away from the people, millions of people are killed by the government that took them away. Gun control is hitting what you aim at.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

Personal responsibility is the key. Guns don't create victims. A victim is a person harmed, injured, or killed as a result of a crime, accident, or other event or action. The crime, accident, event or action created the damages, not the firearms dealer or manufacturer. Therefore, dealers and manufacturers of firearms are not responsible for injuries suffered by victims.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

Our government is there to provide us with a common defense, a free marketplace (coinage) and the security of knowing that our rights to life, liberty, and property are protected. The main purpose of government is to protect those natural rights that the individual cannot effectively protect in a state of nature.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Did not answer

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

NO.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

Did not answer

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Agree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

The indoctrination of CRT and SEL are contrary to our Judeo/Christian values and ethics.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

God is good.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Photo identification should be required before citizens are allowed to vote.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Paper Ballots, Hand counted in the precinct, votes cast on election day, smaller precincts (no more than 1,500 registered voters per precinct), purple thumbs to prove that a person has already voted. Ballot control measures similar to watermarks or RFID chips in the paper. For those who cannot get to the polls, ballots can be sent to them as absentee ballots similar to a new credit card, but the ballots have to be activated by calling an 800 number and verifying confidential information.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. Domestic security is jeopardized by leftist ideology, not racism. We have come a long ways since Supreme Court decisions and legislation have prohibited overt racism. Yes, racism still occurs, but today it is not a threat to domestic security.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

Statement A) above is true. We do have many laws and regulations which cost jobs and harm the economy. But, we all breathe the air and drink the water. Sometimes, stricter environmental laws and regulations save lives and the biosphere. Do we need stricter laws and regulations now? I don't think so as a general statement, but in any one specific place, faced with real pollution, the answer may be yes.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

We are now suffering tremendous energy costs because of the current Administration's clamping down on fracking. We need to drill and frack to reduce our energy costs, and to make drilling more productive.
