What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

My 40+ year career in Nevada, including time in the rural counties has allowed me to understand the many aspects of Northern Nevada. As a geologist that worked in the mining industry and my 30+ years working as a consultant with businesses and the Federal and state governments to obtain permits for those business to operate has provided me with a strong understanding on what it takes for the state’s second largest industry to operate. I founded a consulting business, hired tens of employees and managing the business for 21 years prior to sell it, which has given me a strong understand on what a business needs to operate in the State of Nevada. My 16 years on the Nevada Commission on Mineral Resources, with the last 6.5 years as the Chairman of the Commission, as well as the years working with the state regulatory agencies gives me a strong understand on how the executive branch operates, including work on several budget cycles when serving as Chairman. Finally, I am a man of my word that will serve openly and honestly for my district and the state.

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
