QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

My personal view is as traditional Catholic perspective - life begins at conception. Today, there are many methods of birth control and no woman needs to get pregnant if any amount of adequate precaution is taken by either the man or women with the exceptions of rape and incest. Abortion on demand up to 40 weeks is completely not acceptable. I could not see ever agreeing to any abortion after the first trimester. My preference is support woman who get in trouble much more than we currently do and find homes for babies. There is also a deeply racial context to abortion - far more black and minority babies are aborted than white babies. Margaret Sanger was an avowed racist and eugenicist.

iVoterGuide Notes:

Staff note: After evaluations occurred, candidate notified iVoterGuide that the intended answer to this question should have been:My personal view is a traditional Catholic perspective - life begins at conception. Rape and incest account for 2% or less of all abortions. Life of the mother is more significant percentage but it is at approximately 10% or less. The vast majority of current abortions are a type of birth control. With the exception of incest and rape, there are many methods of birth control, and no woman needs to get pregnant if any amount of adequate precaution is taken by either the man or women. In a highly sexualized media and society, one area of birth control that is excluded entirely seems to be abstinence.   The current Colorado ‘Reproductive Rights Act’ (HB20-1279) (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/hb22-1279) allows for abortion on demand until the moment of birth and explicitly says that “a fertilized egg, embryo, or fetus does not have independent or derivative rights under the laws of the state.” This is completely unacceptable and is one of the most extreme laws on abortion in the country. The challenge with the question of abortion is that there are two lives in balance (and three with the man included). I recognize that some couples get themselves into unforeseen problems. My preference is to support woman who get into undesirable situations much more than we currently do and support adoption. There is also a deeply racial context to abortion - far more black and minority babies are aborted than white babies. The founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, was an avowed racist and eugenicist. There is a reason why Planned Parenthood clinics are more focused in minority communities than in white communities. I could not vote for any bill that extends abortion past the first trimester and does not recognize the fetus as human. My ideal would be to support everyone with loads of education so that abortions are only considered for rape, incest and the life of the mother and few if any unwanted pregnancies ever occur.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

Margaret Sanger was a horrible person - racist, murderer and eugenicist.

iVoterGuide Notes:

Staff note: After evaluations occurred, candidate notified iVoterGuide that the intended answer to this question should have been:Agree : The founder of Planned Parenthood, Margaret Sanger, was a racist, murderer and eugenicist. Planned Parenthood’s objectives and goals have never changed from its inception. These organizations should never be funded with taxpayer’s money. As stated in the previous question, there is a large racist component to Planned Parenthood.  79% of Planned Parenthood abortion facilities are located within walking distance of neighborhoods that have a proportionately higher population of black and Latina women. The overall agenda is population reduction and in particular, the reduction of the black and Latina populations (https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/op-eds/since-roe-abortion-has-killed-more-black-babies-than-the-entire-black-population-of-the-u-s-in-1960). There is an additional dark side to the abortion industry – what is the linkage to selling human baby parts.  We know that despite Planned Parenthood continual claims that baby parts are not sold, there are whistleblowers in court who say otherwise (https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/opinion/abortion-doctor-admits-sold-baby-parts-often-came-from-babies-born-alive ; https://thefederalist.com/2019/09/05/court-hearing-planned-parenthood-employee-admits-trafficking-baby-body-parts/). US tax dollars should never be going to support these organizations.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

In Colorado, we must bring fees under control. My proposal would be to bring fees under TABOR. Fees need to be reduced by 90%.

iVoterGuide Notes:

Staff note: After evaluations occurred, candidate notified iVoterGuide that the intended answer to this question should have been:In Colorado, we must bring fees under control. My proposal would be to bring fees under TABOR. Fees need to be reduced by 50%.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Much of the government spending is invested into the bureaucracy and expanding the number of civil servants. 50% reduction in the entire state bureaucracy would be an excellent start to reducing costs. Most importantly money needs to reach the front line services which much of the money does not. The money gets caught into the state bureaucracy.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

This violates their constitutional rights to religious freedoms.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

None.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. Unfortunately, Option B has been tried and Covid proved that this did not work. Covid showed that doctors lost their autonomy to advise their patients properly and independently. The long-term consequences from poor "vaccine" informed consent are only beginning to be felt.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

None. Get the medical advise appropriate to your health situation by an INDEPENDENT medical professional. Covid has taught us that government, school and employer control can be horribly abused.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

I do not believe that we have been given the full information on Islamic terrorism. I have worked in the Middle East. Muslims suffer the most under Islamic terrorist attacks. In my view, Islamic terrorism is a state-sponsored approach to remove a population's freedoms and rights. It was very interesting that on leaving office, Obama stated that ISIS would not be defeated for another 20-30 years. Within months of Trump becoming President, ISIS was defeated. After Joe Biden became President, ISIS raised its ugly head again. This shows me that Islamic terrorism can be defeated when a President wants to actually defeat Islamic terrorism. Getting rid of secret services such as the FBI, CIA, MI6, Mossad, etc might go a long way to eradicating the threat of Islamic terrorism.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Disagree

I do not believe that we have all of the information on this conflict to make any intelligent choices. The conflict is used to make sure no one can live in peace. The Abraham Accords did much to show that the Palastinian-Israeli conflict is not exactly what it seems.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Finish the wall and put in a second wall behind that. Immigrants should only come through the official ports of entry.

iVoterGuide Notes:

Staff note: After evaluations occurred, candidate notified iVoterGuide that the intended answer to this question should have been:Strongly Agree : Finish the wall. Immigrants should only come through the official ports of entry.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

There is a long and rational history to immigration to the USA. Just follow the existing law and rules and 90% of the problems would solve themselves.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I strongly agree but we should also treat people of other faiths with respect. We live in a secular state. We must treat every American with the same rights under the US Constitution.

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Everyone should have 'equal protection under the law', but no one gets more.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Agree

Marriage is both a legal contract and a religiously recognized union. Not every American believes in the religious part of the definition. The US government is a secular state and all people need to be recognized equally under the law.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

CRT is Communist/Marxist nonsense. It is not based on any evidence.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I was born and raised as a traditional Roman Catholic with all of the rituals and disciplines associated with that. My Christian values are very much based on this personal history. For America, the best way to ensure religious and spiritual freedom is to wholeheartedly support the US Constitution as the US Constitution was written. For whatever reason, we have a powerful and wealthy national/global elite who want to impose a corporate-driven Communist security state on the US and the world. We must fight this at all costs. This is one of the key reasons that I am running for office.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Agree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Voter ID, same day voting, paper ballots, no machines, no mail-in ballots (except for traditional absentee ballots with all of the process around that), precinct level voting and counting (as it was)

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. It is another tool by the corporate-driven Communist elite to divide Americans. I meet no one (literally no one) who wants a racially divided society. We want equal protection under the law for everyone. No one is special. All Americans should be treated equally regardless of race, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, gender preference, etc. No one can be treated equally if some people are treated special. Equal means equal.

iVoterGuide Notes:

Staff note: After evaluations occurred, candidate notified iVoterGuide that the intended answer to this question should have been:No. It is another tool by the corporate-owned, Communist elite to divide Americans. All Americans should be treated equally regardless of race, religion, disability, gender, sexual orientation, gender preference, etc. No one can be treated equally if some people are treated special. Equal means equal. The major threat to domestic security are the organizations behind the race-baiting organizations.  These are the real threats and that includes much of the main stream media, foundations, non-profits and NGOs.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

No. It is another tool by the corporate-driven Communist elite to divide Americans.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

Option A. Environmental laws and regulations are not currently designed or implemented rationally. The stated environmental goals/outcomes are not supported rationally by the laws and regulations which are implemented. The entire environmental movement has become a type of religion rather than logical science and engineering connecting actions to outcomes.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Agree

Yes, I agree, BUT it must be done with the safety and health of the community in mind. There are many reports of drinking water contamination. Local communities cannot suffer healthwise from fracking or other hydrocarbon extraction.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

The purpose of government is to realize the most potential for the most number of its citizens. In my view, this is done by getting the government as out of the way as much as possible in the lives of population and only to intervene when one citizen's actions cross-over/interfere too much into another citizen's actions. The US federal, state and county governments have become bureaucratic messes interfering in areas that they have no business in. Minimal government is the best government. That includes spending as well.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

I believe the government mostly makes things worse and not better. Let people pray, work and live as they see fit. Only intervene when absolutely no other option is possible.

iVoterGuide Notes:

Staff note: After evaluations occurred, candidate notified iVoterGuide that the intended answer to this question should have been:Conservative : I believe the government mostly makes things worse and not better. Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

I wiped out all of my social media over 10 years ago when I realized that social media was not facilitating social discourse but rather making it worse. I have never run for any office ever before,so there are no interviews that are on record. I do have a published academic paper on my PhD work: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0166497214001382.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

Reducing crime, increasing affordability and providing parents with the most educational options are my top priority.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The only restrictions are outlined in the 2nd Amendment.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
