QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
To save the life of the mother.
ECONOMY
Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.
Strongly Disagree
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Strongly Agree
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
The tax rates of the Trump era should be continued.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Strongly Agree
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
The church has an absolute right to exist and exercise their faith freely and the state will take no action to prevent those rights.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Only after legislation has been enacted which has publicly considered the medical basis and the community necessity to support such a serious intrusion of the bodies and personal liberties of all Americans. This would be subject to court scrutiny to ensure legal and constitutional safeguards are respected.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
B.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Disagree
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Continue to improve our intelligence community to more accurately identify and help plan for an appropriate response to potential Islamic terrorism threats; partner with parts of the Islamic community, here and abroad, that are willing to take a public stand against terrorism; seal up our border to stop terrorists from entering our Country; and provide a strong military response to any terrorist action, destroy capability and eliminate all that actively support Islamic terrorism.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
We need younger workers to support our entitlement programs for older Americans. We should focus on those under 30 that want to become American citizens, but still allow for those that want to work here but retain citizenship in their home country to work here on a work visa. But all must enter legally, after appropriate vetting, to ensure they are not a danger to America or unable to support themselves and would have to rely exclusively on government benefits.
VALUES
Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Christian that believes in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God, and provides all of us with a source of comfort and advice to live a full and satisfying life. I believe nobody is perfect, that absolute power corrupts absolutely, but that we must care for those among us that due to a mental or physical impairment are unable to care for themselves.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
I would not support mass mail-in voting or ballot harvesting or drop boxes that allow massive drops of absentee ballots. Instead, all absentee ballots would be requested in advance and prepared, signed and submitted by the voter via mail or a family member or friend at a particular location to ensure no mass drops of ballots. I would support several weeks of early voting to provide an opportunity to vote but not so far ahead that changes in circumstances that might have changed votes could not be considered; I would support only counting votes cast on election day, and limit the counting of any absentee ballots that are received by election day or postmarked by the third day prior to the election.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
I believe racism is wrong and racism is in fact illegal in the Unites States of America. I will stand with any person of any color that has been denied any right solely because of their race. That is wrong and anybody that does that needs to be held accountable. But I also see the use of claims of racism to divide Americans, and stoke tensions that lead to violence and civil unrest. I believe all races have a few racists in their community, but we have laws to punish racist behavior, and if we work together we can all live together in peace and security.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

ABOUT YOU
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
I just retired after 30 years of public service the last decade as a federal judge. I have issued nearly 10,000 decisions for Social Security and Medicare benefits, but given the nature of my profession I have little public record of my political views. The group Chasing Freedom for Virginia has been in contact and I have provided them with more on me and my views than any other source, at least at the moment. I also served as a Fellow on the Republican Staff (by my request) on the House Ways and Means Subcommittee on Social Security. The company I kept there and have recently began to reconnect with should evidence my political affiliation and long standing conservative principles. I am now retired and just getting started, and more will follow.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I am an attorney, and former United States Air Force Officer. I completed the grueling 49 week course of Undergraduate Pilot Training, was selected at graduation to remain as an instructor. During my flying career I was designated a Master Instructor Pilot in the T-37 jet trainer and then an A-10 single seat fighter pilot. Success in these positions evidences an attitude that will overcome adversity and not gladly settle for coming in second. I have long appreciated the world of politics, was a student senator in high school, majored in political science, and took some masters level courses in political science at universities over the years I was on active duty and then working in Social Security. A legal career had always been my dream, with an eye on politics at some point in future life. With 30 years of public service and Hatch Act limitations, I could do nothing political. I am married with 2 sons, one in college and one still in high school. My legislative priorities are to help save the Social Security and Medicare systems, I have seen for decades how important these programs are for so many fine Americans. Only through responsible spending, another priority, can we ensure the budget can support these benefits. In addition, responsible spending will halt the runaway inflation that is especially devastating to those on fixed incomes, like nearly everyone that relies on Social Security and Medicare. That is my motto, "Aim Higher", and I think together we can for all Americans!
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I favor a simple background check to identify criminals or those with a history of violence and/or mental illness. Otherwise, the right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed!
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
