QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I personally believe when there's a threat to the hosts life and well-being. However, personal opinion and public policy and law can conflict.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Agree

Funding for this should come from private or advocacy organizations not the government.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Disagree

As a nurse I see one day a person in despair about their condition and the next day they are at peace and or optimistic. So, I think comfort, compassion, and care to the very end is my motto.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Further discussion and exploration is needed. However, we all need to pay our fair share.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Government wastefulness. Foreign aid reduction. We also need to regulate the flow of our Southern border because so much money is spent trying to accommodate people without legitimate asylum claims when we have Americans who are in need of homes, healthcare , childcare and our veterans are in need. We spend billions on housing, feeding, travel expenses, clothing, necessities, administration, schooling, and lawsuit settlements of people gaming our system and taking advantage of our kindness. Floods of innocent children being sent here unaccompanied, most Americans wouldn't let their child that age go to the store by themselves let alone travel thousands of miles with strangers. We must control our spending in many ways. I believe in compassion, but I also believe in common sense and a common care for community. It's American elected officials responsibility to the American people and American interests first. The same as we take care of our families first, then give to others.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Agree

It really is in many ways through the current system. I've known many people who went to community college on grants from the government and graduated debt free.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

We have freedom in this country. Let's not forget that.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

Violation of laws.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

B . I chose B because people should have the right to compare and choose. In addition to the fact that government run systems tend to be highly flawed and people need to be able to have an alternative just in case.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

I believe in education and autonomy in healthcare. That's first and foremost. The coercing, strong arming, people to get the COVID vaccine and on top of that sealing the full data of it's effects was wrong. If the government forces you to choose between food on your table and being able to pay your bills or get a new vaccine or anything else put in your body I think is wrong. You and your healthcare provider should discuss your health and you make a final choice. We must not allow the government to force upon us what to put in our own bodies. Unfortunately, the door has been opened to the government dictating what must go into your body or you cannot keep your job. I'm surprised that advocates for women being able to choose what can't stay in their bodies will often advocate for the government telling us what we must put into our bodies.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Maybe stop interfering in conflicts around the world that have nothing to do with us. Educate people about Islam and our stance on religious freedoms. We should also be as proactive as possible with responding to information on possible threats.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Disagree

Again we need to allow those directly involved to find their own way to peace and solutions to their problems. We need to promote talks and peace.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

We are a sovereign nation and we do not have unlimited resources. We need to control the flow of entry into our country for the sake and safety of us all. What alarms me the most are the children unaccompanied coming here. We have to make sure these children are not being exploited and trafficked. The current administration is disgracing our nation by encouraging this activity. The parents of these children must be held accountable and anyone who encourages putting these children in harms way.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

In general anyone is allowed to migrate to the United States. There's a legal process and it should be respected. Including legitimate asylum seekers. Under the Biden administration when legitimate Haitian asylum seekers came in, they were rounded up like dogs and flown back to Haiti with the quickness. Yet, since Biden took office over 2 million so called asylum seekers came in from majority South and Central American nations. I guess Biden liked their shade of brown more than the darker shade of the Haitians.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

We must allow poor children to have more choices. I support public schools, but I also support parents having options just in case public school is not a fit for their child's needs.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Choose not to answer

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Agree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Neutral

The government doesn't have the right to interfere in an individual's perception of what God has or hasn't ordained.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Disagree

I think it's the people who are flawed not necessarily the system. It's like blaming a rope for a lynching and not the person doing the lynching.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in a Divine source.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Disagree

I think we are at a point where the honesty system isn't secure. Most people support voter id.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Voter registration should be connected to your social security number. This is a way to ensure that you're legally able to vote, your id is verfied, and you're not registered in more than one county. When voting signatures should be verified and id checked.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes. It's causing civil unrest. It can cause people to feel unpatriotic, which can open them up to being indoctrinated for terrorism or simply not caring about the country. It's just an issue that responsible leadership need to tackle in a way that is strong, community building, and lasting.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Agree

Reparations have in the past been given based on race because the violation was race based. So, I would agree that if the violation was race based the reparations should be as well.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

I think we need to be innovative and realistic to the changes that we can make, how fast we can make them, how we can make those changes, and what needs to change or improve.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Neutral

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To protect and serve it's citizens in order for them to have the freedom to pursue life liberty and happiness.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

This is an article of me advocating and supporting education freedom for poor and minority communities. https://www.reviewjournal.com/local/education/hundreds-rally-for-against-school-choice-at-nevada-supreme-court-hearing/attachment/shannon-churchwell-tells-esa-supporters-we-are-being-held-hostage-and-i-need-school-choice-and-i-need-it-now-la_leytwitter/

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

We need balance in our legislature. We are a blended society and a balance is needed so all voices and perspectives are heard and considered. I will be a voice for common sense, common compassion and common community respect. I am your neighbor. I'm on your side.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Agree

If that officer is following departmental policy then no, that offer should not be prosecuted. I also believe that officers should be protected if they want to advocate appropriately for policy changes and improvement.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

We need to pool from other resources for community health and mental health programs.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

It's not the gun it's the person using it that's can be the problem. I support gun ownership rights. We are our first responders when we are in danger. I do not support restricting owners rights.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

You need to put the blame where it belongs and not money grab these gun manufacturers.
