RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

To save the mother's life, rape, incest

iVoterGuide Notes:

After evaluations occurred, the candidate expressed that his preferred response to this question should be “ Abortion should only be allowed to save the Mother's life “

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

iVoterGuide Notes:

After evaluations occurred, the candidate expressed that his preferred response to this question should be “Strongly Agree “

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Agree

I believe in certain circumstances where the person has only 6 or less months to live because they are terminally ill, and notated by 2 physicians, then I would support the right to die.

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

No State income taxes for veterans.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Some funding for highways and bridges, unless certain roads and bridges were shown to be a safety hazzard.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Neutral

i believe in "need-based" tax-payer money being used for those students who come form homes that fall below the federal poverty standard.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Disagree

Individuals and businesses should have the right to choose what services they provide to others.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

I believe in the separation of church and state. One reason I can think of to close a church is if the church was involved in some kind of crime, such as drug or human trafficking.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C. Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, PLUS other taxpayer-funded programs being available for those middle-class people who fall outside the federal poverty guidelines.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Vaccination decisions should be left up to the individuals, schools, employers and not by a "heavy-handed" decision by the government.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Stay the course with "no-fly" lists and restrict nuclear options for "terrorist" countries.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Persons who want to live under a democracy and those fleeing form persecution.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Agree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Agree

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Choose not to answer

iVoterGuide Notes:

After evaluations occurred, the candidate expressed that his preferred response to this question should be “Strongly Agree “

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian who has regularly attended a Lutheran church all of my life.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Agree

A person can identify themselves in other ways such as a SSN or Voter Registration card.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

No changes

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Yes, because racist people usually exhibit hatred towards certain people.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Disagree

Taking taxpayer money from the people today to award reparations for what the people of yester-year did is unfair to today's taxpayers.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

B.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Neutral

I would rather support "clean" energy choices such as: hydro-electricity, wind turbines, solar power.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To collect money to pay for the "big rocks" such as health, welfare, morals and safety of it's citizens.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Lean Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

None publically available at the moment.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I am one of the most well-balanced of any candidate for office: as a lawyer, I have been trained to listen to both sides of an issue prior to make a decision; as a medical worker I understand what it takes to actually care for patients, having actually care-for over 20,000 in the Army emergency room at Eisenhower Army Medical Center; and having attended architectural and urban design school and served on the Historic Preservation and Design Review commissions I have been in the public fights for our towns and counties regarding the streetscapes that we allow in our communities.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Agree

Yes I agree if the police officers are following departmental policy and law. However, if they are not, then they should NOT be immune form prosecution, both criminally and civilly.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Disagree

We need mental health and community programs to have their own separate funding without taking away money from the police departments. My Grandfather was Sheriff Melvin A, Erickson so I have always supported the police.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Mentally-ill persons should be prohibited from owning guns.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Neutral

I think people are the ones who need to be sued unless the manufacturer was somehow shown to be liable for causing the killing.
