RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
I believe that God is the giver of life and that life begins at conception. The only possible exception to allowing an abortion is if the mother's life is in such a precarious situation that death of the mother is imminent. And then with the advances we have made in modern medicine, the life of the child should try to be saved if at all medically possible and not just aborted!
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Taxpayers who oppose abortion should NOT have their tax dollars used for supporting organizations who provide abortions nor should we have our tax dollars sent to other countries to assist in abortions! As a Christian, I will have to stand before God and give an account of my life and I should not feel my money goes to support what I feel is an affront to my religious freedoms
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
Life is in the hands of God. We should do all we can to assist a suffering person be more at easy and out of pain to the best of our abilities at the end of their life, but we are NOT in charge of when that life will cease.
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
The tax code has gotten unwieldy and difficult to understand and apply. Taxes are not a tool to use to redistribute wealth! Money left in the hands of individuals is better used than money in the hand of government! I feel we would be better served if there was a flat tax rate and have the populous fit into perhaps 3-4 sectors. I feel that the tax burden for small businesses must be lessened so that those small companies can invest in their business and begin hiring the people of the community. I believe that there should be no double taxation on inherited monies.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
We have to stop the the runaway money "printing press" and become responsible adults and quite spending what we don't have! We are only hurting our children and grandchildren by printing "stimulus" money. That means that we are going to have to reduce spending in all areas other than national defense. It will not be comfortable but it must be done. And then let's learn from our mistakes and not print ourselves out of every problem!
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
As a teacher for almost two decades and having a Master's Degree in Education specializing in Curriculum and Instructional Education, I have witnessed first-hand that not all students are suited for college nor WANT to go to college. Transforming oneself into an adult comes with responsibility and some degree of hardship. We need to make the opportunities available for young people through scholarships but not guaranteed with taxpayer funds.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
NO ONE should be required or mandated to violate their religious beliefs no matter what those beliefs are.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
None
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
None. It should be the individual's choice whether or not they are vaccinated.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
First, we need to bolster our borders so that people can't just walk right in! We need to stop the flow of immigrants by first building a wall especially on our Southern border as there may be many Islamic terrorists coming to the U.S. via that route. We also need to monitor for any terrorist "cells" that may already be here.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
Israel is always under the threat of total annihilation. God has promised to bless those who bless Israel.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Disagree
YES! We cannot call ourselves a sovereign nation if we have no borders! We are creating havoc on our southern border right now with our lack of following our own laws! We have seen an explosion of crime, human trafficking, drug running, and the influx of those who do not adhere to our laws.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
We need to allow immigration to those who want to assimilate into our way of life and who can support themselves. Those who would bring a benefit to the country and love being here. Those who are being persecuted in their homeland for their political or religious beliefs should be WELL vetted to make sure they are who they say they are. However, we can only bring in an amount which will not be a detriment to the American citizen by flooding the job market, or over-burdening our school or healthcare systems.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
We MUST give the parents a choice where their child(ren) go to school and do not doom a student to a poor preforming school through the current zipcode system.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
We have been declining morally as a nation since the removal of prayer and the ten commandments in our public institutions. Our Founding Fathers never meant for the separation of church and state to be the total elimination of God from our lives. It was that no state mandated religion would be mandated.
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
We already have laws that state that one cannot discriminate on the basis of sex (male or female) and everyone whether they "identify" as something other than their birth sex or not does fall into one of those two categories.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Strongly Agree
All other unions should be classified as "civil" unions as they are manmade and not God-ordained.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
This is a divisive ploy by radical leftists to tear our country apart. While we are not perfect and while we made mistakes in the past, we have radically changed our racial views over these past decades. While there may exist some racist people, we as a country and most people are not racist.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a born again Christian who believes in the triune Godhead. Jesus is God created in the flesh and lived a perfect life. He died for our sins and with His shed blood we can become saved from the eternal damnation of Hell. He rose bodily from the grave on the third day and defeated death. Repentance of sin is a turning away of sin and striving to live a life that He would have me live. Upon asking for Jesus to forgive me and come into my heart and save me (which I did at 8 years old), the Holy Spirit came into my life to lead and guide me. His Word, the Bible, is instrumental to my understanding who He is and striving to live the life He has for me! It is this reason why I am running for this office. It was a leading of God that I needed to step off the sidelines and start proclaiming the Word of God and that if we do not repent and turn from our wicked ways that His hand of judgment will be coming. Time is short and Satan is active. It is time to fall on our knees and repent and seek God's wisdom in all we do and say! NOTHING is impossible with God!
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
We need photo identification for just about everything. WE MUST secure our election integrity so that each eligible citizen gets their one vote counted!
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Voter ID is a MUST. We must do away with every person being mailed a ballot. My deceased husband got one. We must clean up the voter roles. Every ballot and chain of custody must be guarded with the highest degree of security!
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
I do not think racism is a threat to domestic security because I don't think that there are that many people who are racists. But I do believe that those who keep riling up people insinuating that if one doesn't agree with their politics are racists, then that may be a threat to domestic security. For example, look at the conservatives that have been invited to speak on public campuses and then have been attacked just for an opposing viewpoint which throws them into the "camp of being a racist." I would consider that to be a threat to domestic security. I blame the liberal professors for indoctrinating our young people into this type of thinking.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
While slavery was a sin and an ugly blotch on the soul of this country, we have made tremendous strides in correcting those wrongs. I believe the best move is forward momentum with a focus on things getting better and making even more improvements and not on dwelling on the past and expectations of what should have been.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
I certainly think we can do both! We must work sensibly with the environment and not destroy it while at the same time bolstering the economy.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Agree
Green energy is fine but it is not as dependable as we need it to be. Therefore, we still need to utilize fossil fuels and I believe that the US is better served to be energy independent rather than rely on foreign entities.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The answer to this is found in the Preamble of our Constitution: to form a more perfect union; establish justice; insure domestic tranquility; provide for the common defense; promote the general welfare; secure the blessings of liberty now and in the future. We have over the years, added more and more to the "responsibilities" of government and by such have caused it to grow and grow to something unmanageable and power hungry!
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
I don't make decisions just because that is "the platform." I research, study, look at all sides of an issue, and digest what I have found. Then I pray and ask God for the wisdom of Soloman before I make a final decision.
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
I have not held office before and I have not had any interviews or media reports as of yet. My print work is in the works but I don't have that yet. Maybe it will be ready tomorrow from my logo design person. So I just have my website for now.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
The first things I would like to tackle are Election Integrity and School Choice. But I would like my constituents to reach out to me and let me know what concerns THEY have. I am, after all, working for them!
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
We must support our men and women in blue! If they are following department policy they should not be held liable for something that may arise, unless they deviated from policy, but that in turn means that department policy should protect not only people of "interest" but also the officers who are working out in the community!
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
Police are the first responders on the scene. So many decisions for the safety of all are split second decisions! The majority of police are very good at their jobs and deflate a highly emotional incident already. Mental health and community programs are fine but we can't defund what our first responders need to help them with their highly dangerous jobs.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
We don't need restrictions on gun ownership. We need the criminals to be locked up. Criminals do not get their guns legally so gun restrictions do nothing but hamper law abiding people from protecting themselves.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
If that law were passed then car manufacturers should be able to be sued from someone dying at the hands of a drunk driver!
