Election Forum & Reality Alert

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Neutral

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Agree

If the dying person, and the immediate family, are in agreement, then it should be allowed.

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Under any circumstance, however, it should be done as early as possible, and no later than perhaps 10 weeks of pregnancy.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

Corporate greed needs to be controlled in order to lessen the wealth gap.

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Disagree

The government absolutely has to stop unnecessary spending especially on things that do not benefit the American workers.

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Lower taxes for lower income families.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

As a Christian, I believe that all our religious rights should be protected, especially within the walls of those sacred locations such as churches, temples and synagogues.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

In my opinion, it is a form of terrorism when one expects you to accept, and believe in, their beliefs simply because it's their belief. Let's look at it this way, I don't shout to every passing person that I'm a Christian and that everyone else should believe in God and Jesus. I very well could but, I don't believe in forcing my views on others because I respect everyone and treat them the way I wish to be treated....plain and simple!

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

There should always be a separation. The state is our local government and the church helps us to keep the faith in humanity and choosing the most righteous among us to serve us in the state.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

NEVER! It is our freedom of choice and our government should never tell us what we can or can not do....PERIOD!

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C - Because there will always be lower income families that cannot afford proper health care and we should help those. But for the rest, they can pay for their own medical insurance, mainly through their employers.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

B - Because the faster we can get every country with their own democracy, the faster we can actually reverse the flow of immigration. If Cuba, because I'm Cuban, were to become a democratic republic, for example, I, and so many other Cubans, would consider perhaps living there especially if it became a U.S. territory.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

Israel, in so many ways, is like the U.S., all they want is peace but, somehow evil finds a way in. Israel is entitled to their own territory, beliefs and sovereignty just like us here in the U.S.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

Absolutely! China is our #1 threat and it doesn't help us that our current leader-in-charge is actually lined up with the CCP and has no plan to protect us from them or to minimize our dependency on them.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Go back to Trump era tactics of acknowledge, locate and terminate any, and all, forms of Islamic terrorism.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Finish the wall and support all forms of border control and patrolling.

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Agreed! How dare these sanctuary cities, states and officials put these law-breaking immigrants ahead of you, the law-abiding, tax paying citizens? It goes against all logic, common sense and their constitutional oaths that they swore to protect and uphold. Last I checked, my government should be protecting me first because...that's what my taxes pay for!

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Only those fleeing communistic or oppressive countries like Cuba, China, N. Korea, Venezuela, etc. should be allowed to claim asylum.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

America is the greatest country in the world and is the most racially diverse country too!

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a devout Christian dedicated to always doing what is right in life, even if that makes me the loser. I maintain myself fair and balanced and always respect others as that is how I wish to be treated. I value family, life and all our liberties. I expect everyone to play their part so that life can be as fair as possible and do my best to help those others in need.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

Every voter should prove their identity with an I.D. to prevent fraud and ensure that only legit votes get counted.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Stop ALL mail in ballots unless it's for special circumstances and enforce a strong signature verification system for all mailed ballots. Also update voter registration every year to scrub deceased and/or ineligible voters.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

This is wrong and no one should have to pay for things that they weren't a part of. For example, my parents migrated to the U.S. from Cuba more than 40 years ago...why should I, or they, have to pay for reparations? Furthermore, if reparations are to be made to any group of people, it should probably go to the Native Americans first before any other group or race of people.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No, racism is not a threat!! This is the most racially diverse, racially accepting country in the world. The real threat is hate and those that harbor it in their hearts.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Agree

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A - Environmental laws are good as they are. The U.S. is not the problem when it comes to the environment, it's China and India. Until they start to control and/or regulate their pollution, we do not need to tighten our environmental laws here.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Conservative

I am conservative because we need to protect and defend our constitution, but I'm also a Libertarian because I believe in less government intervention and more personal freedoms.

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

www.wethe29th.com or FB/IG/TWTR: @andyforca29

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

If elected, all my decisions in congress will be dictated by the voters of my district, the 29th district. If elected, I will also try to implement this style of governing our politicians so that we, the people, will always be in control of ALL our 'elected officials'. This way when we, the people, need things done we know that they will get done, ASAP, and without us having to BEG our so-called 'leaders' to fix obvious problems. Also, no more greedy, corrupt, rogue politicians who only care about themselves because they will need the approval of their people to make any decisions.....if my system gets implemented!!!

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

If all was followed by the books then yes, they should be protected.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

We should never defund our police force, they are the only thing keeping us from defending ourselves. Give the police force a raise so that way we can be even more selective with who we hire and train.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

All good as is.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

Then should we also be able to sue beer companies for all the drunk driving deaths? Only if the dealers violated any laws should they be sued. Manufacturers have nothing to do with this issue since they only make the guns and distribute them to their sellers.
