QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Abortion should only be allowed in extreme cases, such as threat of life to the mother, rape or incest. It should be strongly discouraged in every other situation.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
Federal funds should not go to any organization that provides abortions while falsely claiming to provide other medical care for women.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Neutral
I think a person should be allowed to make decisions about their own life in extreme cases such as a medical diagnosis that they will not recover from. I would consider this similar to a DNR document in the medical field. If this were to become law it should have restrictions. I do not have a strong opinion on this.
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
I would simplify the tax code to promote a flat tax system. I would like to eliminate school property taxes and work to replace them with better funding mechanisms. I think the gas tax should be cut in half or eliminated.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
I would reduce spending by reforming the state pension system, set spending limits and focus more on the core functions of government rather than the frills.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Disagree
College is not a necessity, and injecting more students into the system will only make the cost of college increase, and the value of a degree continue to decrease.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
None.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C. The government should be focused on incentivizing more workers to enter the healthcare field, rather than more patients entering hospitals for trivial reasons. As someone who works in EMS, I know that some people abuse the system, taking away quality care from people who need it.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Vaccinations should only be required if they have gone through the normal, rigorous, long term testing that every other vaccine on the planet (with the exception of the COVID vaccine) has gone through. Individuals should also be able to opt out of vaccination if there is a religious or medical consideration.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
The United States should encourage countries of islamic faith to root out and destroy terror cells. We should also be vigilant at home.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
Israel is one of the strongest allies of the United States, and we should do everything in our power to protect it and help it succeed, like we would with every other country. The BDS movement is mostly rooted in Anti-Semitism, and should be discredited in all ways at all times. In fact, I spearheaded a campaign against the BDS movement while I was a student leader at Penn State University.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Agree
I believe the United States should use the advanced technology we possess to provide more security around the border. This would include use of drones, advanced cameras, etc. We should also finish construction of the border wall that was initiated under the Trump Administration.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
We should allow anyone without a criminal background to immigrate to the United States so long as they follow the appropriate processes put in place. However, I do believe some of those processed could be streamlined.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
A child's education should not be determined by the zip code in which they live. I believe that school choice is a major tenet of the future of education in America.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Agree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Neutral
I believe that the sacrament of marriage cannot be altered by any government authority. No religion should be forced to adhere to a practice in which they disagree. The legal definition of marriage is the government's own responsibility however.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Critical race theory is a terrible subject matter to teach children. Every child in the country should be aware of America's history, but they should not be taught to hate each other because of the color of their skin, which is what CRT does.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a devout Catholic who attends mass every Sunday, and tries to volunteer at my parish whenever I can. I believe the right to life is one of the most sacred on this planet. I believe that doing selfless service is something that should be instilled in every single American citizen. As a Catholic, I am prod to share the statistic that the Church is the most charitable organization on the planet.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
You need an ID to do virtually anything else in this country. You should need an ID to vote.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
I would advocate for Voter ID. I would immediately introduce a bill to repeal Act 77 in Pennsylvania, and ban the use of drop boxes for the return of absentee/mail in ballots.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Did not answer
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
