QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I am unashamedly pro-life. Planned Parenthood receives millions of our hard-earned taxpayer dollars every single year and uses that money to provide abortions on demand. Our tax dollars should not be used for things that go against our deepest values.

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

We must stop the online distribution of abortion pills that women don’t understand the effects of and are being illegally sent across state lines. These drugs have resulted in injury, infertility and even death. In the U.S. Senate, I will always fight for life.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

I’m glad this issue is being discussed where it belongs - in state governments across the country. Each state has intricacies they need to work out on their own. I do think this discussion has long been missing a very important piece. It used to be that Democrats believed abortion should be safe, legal and rare. Now they believe in abortion up until birth. We cannot allow our country to normalize late term abortion.

Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?

No, the Supreme Court was right when they said that this is an issue for each state to figure out and decide.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

Those who deny or belittle faith in God often call out how there must be the separation of church and state. Unfortunately, many Americans do not even know where this phrase originates. In the original context, it is very clear that the church would have a profound influence on government. Our system of government was firmly based on the biblical view that man is flawed, and therefore, there must be checks and balances within the government. That's the basis our country was built on.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

There can never be hostility towards Americans and their religious beliefs, especially from the government. The great thing about America is you have choices and the government cannot be allowed to force individuals or businesses to provide services they disagree with.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

B - "The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny."

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

The truth is that the U.S. and China are in competition. China is an active threat to the United States on military, security, and economic levels. They are already attacking us. Last year, our country lost over 110,000 Americans to lethal overdoses, many as a result of Chinese fentanyl and other drugs flowing across our southern border. Joe Biden’s handling of China has been weak and unacceptable.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes, Israel is our most important ally – and the only democracy in the Middle East. For over 75 years, the U.S. and Israel have shared ??mutual interests and shared democratic values. Right now, Israel is under attack and we must project strength and stand up for our ally because Hamas and their barbaric, terrorist actions will not prevail.

What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?

Our government has chosen to focus on a woke agenda that emphasizes pronouns and partisan politics instead of the American Values that have made it the most powerful military in history. The Democratic party is questioning the sacrifices and hard work of our military members and refusing to provide plans to increase membership, instead spewing a political agenda. We cannot allow our military to become politicized and need to focus on our country, patriotism and pride.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Vaccines have helped save millions of Americans, and should be used for the good of public health. Unfortunately, the government made mistakes with the COVID vaccine that led to distrust among Americans. It's up to government to earn that trust back.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

C - "Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary" - It is important to reign in Medicare and Medicaid so that our federal government and state governments are able to budget efficiently and effectively.

ECONOMY

What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?

I’ve managed military budgets, started a company, and have a unique skillset to solve these problems and get us back on track. In the Senate, I will work to create pro-growth policies that will stimulate the economy and stop our runaway spending.

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Strongly Agree

Less than 27% of Nevadans have a college degree but Joe Biden expects the remaining 73% of hard working Nevadans to pay off college debts for those that willingly took them out. As Nevadans are living paycheck to paycheck, our small business owners, farmers, ranchers, and families cannot be responsible for others’ debts. It’s un-American.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

It’s simple – we need to do what is best for Nevada. Investing money where it will help Nevadans the most should take priority.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

This is the number one issue we need to address and fix. On Joe Biden’s first day in office, he began to undo President Trump’s border policies and the results have been horrific. We have a wide-open border, which has allowed terrorist groups to travel freely in our country and live here undetected. We need to secure our border by building a wall, getting additional funding for border security and innovative technologies, and always standing with our brave national guard troops and CBP agents.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

America was built by immigrants and legal immigration has welcomed millions of people to our country. These people love America and want to live the American Dream. Legal immigration is, and will continue to be, an important part of our country. We need to get our illegal immigration problems under control immediately.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

School Choice is about empowering parents with the ability to choose how and where their children receive their education, no matter their background or zip code. I’m fighting for educational freedom. Every child is unique – I believe parents are best qualified to decide what works best for their child’s education.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

We need to do everything possible to set our children up for success and that includes getting rid of the Department of Education. We need to get education decisions closer to students and parents, and funding needs to follow the children so their education decisions are made based on what's best for them and their families. We can't properly prop up and support parents with a Department of Education.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

With crime on the rise and drugs pouring across the border, instead of supporting our brave law enforcement, Biden and the Democrats have caved to the “defund the police” movement. We need to support our law enforcement officers. I will always support law enforcement and will always defend law and order.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None, the Constitution clearly states in the Second Amendment: "...the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.

Strongly Disagree

Court-packing is an appalling attempt to politicize the Supreme Court. Justice is blind and the Democrats’ attempts to add liberal judges to our nation's highest court is disappointing. We can’t let it happen.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

National Security, to protect the people. To govern according to the consent of the people.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No.

VALUES

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Our country was founded on the Judeo-Christian values. Therefore, marriage was viewed from the perspective as God established it. This basic value was respected by both Christians and non-Christians.

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Agree

Children need to be nurtured so that they can grow into healthy adults. When their bodies are unnecessarily manipulated, the opportunity to grow into healthy adults is taken away from them. Parents are primarily responsible for their children, not the state.

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe that all are created by God Almighty. Because of the Fall of Adam and Eve, all are doomed to eternal separation from God. However, God provided a way for all to be reconciled to Him though his Son, the LORD Jesus Christ. If a person confesses with their mouth that Jesus is Lord and believes in their heart that God raised him from the dead, that person will spend eternity in the presence of God Almighty.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

It is clear Americans don’t have confidence in our elections. I’m running to be part of that solution in the United States Senate. I want a seat at the table to make our elections more fair and transparent. Part of that solution is making sure that Americans show a photo ID to vote. We need to make sure that our elections are safe and secure and that people have faith in our election system.

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

In the U.S. Senate I will follow the Constitution. Our founding fathers were clear with the need for an electoral college and I am supportive of it.

EQUALITY

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Critical Race Theory is a woke, progressive program that is another way to divide us. As a parent of four kids, I don’t want anyone teaching children that they’re oppressors or victims when they should be teaching them English, grammer, history and math - the things that will help them succeed, not knocking them down. I taught my kids like my dad taught me - you can do far greater things focusing on service for others. We should not focus on division and lip service to answer our problems.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

Biological males should not participate in female sports and vice versa. I raised two girls who played sports their whole life - I trained them, I worked with them, I watched them succeed and fail. I cannot stand by a system that dehumanizes the blood, sweat and tears invested by men and women simply playing in their own programs. Our country worked hard for Title IX, which bans discrimination based on sex. Unfortunately, now we are undoing all the good that has come from it.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Strongly Disagree

We need to take care of our land and resources but we can’t be doing it at the expense of our country and economy.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Nuclear energy. It provides consistent, carbon-free power to millions of people and runs more effectively than coal, natural gas, wind and solar power. The U.S. must invest in nuclear energy and I will be a leader on this issue in the U.S. Senate.
