QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I believe that life begins at conception and do not support abortion for any reason.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

PA has a Corporation Net Income tax of 9.99%, one of the highest in the world. All tax credits should be removed, and the savings used to reduce the CNI. Also, property tax can and should be eliminated. If everything else would be taxed at a slightly higher rate and personal income tax increased, property tax could be eliminated for everyone. This is especially important for our seniors who are struggling on a fixed income.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

PA needs to focus on the constitutional requirements for core government functions. For example, transportation infrastructure is to pay for highways and bridges, we should not be using these funds to be paying for murals on bridges, bike lanes, trails, and parks. Although I believe all these things to be good, we should not be using these funds for "extra" projects when we cannot even meet the basic needs. Also, our funding for education has lost its way. I have a huge passion for education; however, we need to focus on the needs in which our funds are meant for. Constitutionally, we are to meet the needs of K-12, and we have been giving millions of dollars to early childhood development, colleges, and after-school programs. Again, these are good things, but if we can't meet our basic constitutional requirements, we should not be giving money to extra programs.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

There are no circumstances that should allow government to close churches. The 1st Amendment guarantees the people's right to assemble and the freedom to worship.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C. Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

There are no circumstances where the government, school, or employer should be allowed to require vaccinations. People should be free to make their own decisions regarding their own health and the health of their family.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Did not answer

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I believe that immigrants should be welcomed into the U.S. by going through the correct legal channels.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Disagree

There are already non-discrimination laws protecting against treating people differently based on their gender, race, religion, and disabilities. These areas protect all people, there does not need to be an added category for gender identity.

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Strongly Agree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a born again Christian.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

I believe that Voter ID should be a requirement. Repeal Act 77 which allowed no-excuse mail-in voting.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Although I do believe that racism exists, I do not believe that it is a threat to domestic security in the U.S. America is a place where people from all over the world have found a home. We are the most diverse country in the world, and people continue to flock here because of that acceptance and the opportunity available for all.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A. Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

The general purpose of government is to protect people, their liberties, and their property. Laws should be made solely to protect people and their liberties, not to force people to conform to a belief or action.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The 2nd Amendment states that the "right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." --no added restrictions for law abiding citizens.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
