QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive taxpayer funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I believe that all human life, born and unborn, has the right to equal protection under the law.

Chemical abortion drugs should meet essential safety standards (such as in-person consultation with a medical doctor) and require reporting to gather evidence on reactions and outcomes.

Strongly Agree

I do not support any abortion drugs but if they are legal, they should meet all FDA requirements.

Under what circumstances should an elective abortion be allowed?

The sole exception arises during the infrequent instances when the mother's life is in peril.

Does the federal government have a role to play in limiting abortion, and if so what federal steps and/or federal legislation would you support?

I would support any legislation that limits, decreases the number, or prohibits abortion.

ECONOMY

What actions would you take that would allow Americans to retain more of their income and wealth?

Tax cuts, deregulation, welfare reform, support for small businesses, balanced budgets, and the promotion of free enterprise are some of the tools that will enrich our families and our Country.

Student loan forgiveness unfairly shifts the financial burden to those not responsible for student debt.

Strongly Agree

Forgiving student loans is unfair as it burdens taxpayers who didn't benefit and creates a moral hazard of expecting future debts to be forgiven.

Should environmental and social issues, like ESG (environmental, social, and governance) ratings, be used as criteria in deciding where to invest public monies?

No

ESG limits investment opportunities and hinders financial returns and efficiency. It weakens America and reduces our standard of living.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

What does "separation of church and state" mean to you?

I believe in limited government involvement in religious matters to preserve individual liberties and prevent state-endorsed religion.

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Individuals and Businesses shouldn't be forced to provide services conflicting with their moral or religious beliefs to protect freedom of conscience and expression, upholding religious liberty.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

While I generally support vaccines, I believe parents should have the final say on vaccinating their children. I was absolutely opposed to forcing the COVID-19 shots on our military.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D) Taxpayer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be defunded.

C: Medicaid and Medicare should be run by states because local governments better understand their populations' needs and can tailor healthcare programs accordingly. State management fosters innovation, efficiency, and accountability, ensuring healthcare services align with diverse regional requirements.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

C: Involvement in foreign conflicts and alliances can lead to costly and protracted military engagements and commitments that may not align with national interests. Maintaining neutrality can prevent the U.S. from being drawn into conflicts that do not directly threaten its security.

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

The combination of economic, military, cybersecurity, human rights, ideological, and territorial factors makes China a multifaceted threat to U.S. interests and security. The number of Chinese nationals coming across the Southern Board create a threat to our security.

Is the United States' relationship with Israel important, and if so why?

Yes - The United States offers substantial military aid and support to Israel, including the transfer of advanced weaponry and technology. Israel is a crucial strategic partner of the United States, and both nations cooperate closely in counterterrorism efforts, intelligence sharing, and military exercises.

What are the causes of decline in U.S. military recruitment and retention?

The challenge of retaining experienced personnel has escalated owing to multiple deployments, long separations from families, and high operational tempos. This has led to burnout, stress, and dissatisfaction with career prospects which are the major contributing factors to the retention difficulties faced by the military.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Constructing physical barriers in strategic locations along the border can deter illegal crossings and channel traffic to designated ports of entry, where it can be effectively monitored and controlled. in 1999, I worked on the border while a Major in the Air National Guard.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Immigration policies should balance humanitarian concerns, economic requirements, and national security interests while upholding the values of fairness, equality, and respect for human rights.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

School choice policies, including voucher programs, provide parents with greater control and more options for their children's education. These policies enable parents to select schools best suited to their children's needs, preferences, and values, whether public, private, charter, or religious. School choice can help address educational disparities by expanding access to high-quality education options, especially for disadvantaged or underserved communities.

I support eliminating the U.S. Department of Education and giving control back to states and communities.

Strongly Agree

Abolishing the Department of Education could align with parental choice and educational freedom principles by reducing federal mandates and regulations that constrain educational options and limit parents' ability to choose the best educational opportunities for their children.

VALUES

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition.

Strongly Agree

Marriage is between a man and a woman and is the foundation of the family.

Children are the most vulnerable members of society and must be protected from abuse, including gender ideology, grooming, and bodily mutilation.

Strongly Agree

Anyone who sterilizes a child should be imprisoned.

Taxpayer funds should be used to provide gender transition services.

Strongly Disagree

No, including the military.

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

As a Catholic who holds the sanctity of life in high regard, my spirituality is grounded in a profound reverence for human life. I am committed to pursuing justice and kindness, serving others, and adhering to the teachings of the Church and our Lord Jesus Christ.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

ID should be required and absentee ballots only used by exception.

The Electoral College should be abolished.

Strongly Disagree

This principle of federalism ensures that no state can dominate the election process solely by virtue of its population.

EQUALITY

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

CRT is based on racism and has no place in our schools, private sector, government, or military.

Biological males should not be allowed to participate in women's sports or occupy biological women's spaces whether it be bathrooms, locker rooms, sorority houses, women's shelters, or prison.

Strongly Agree

Allowing biological males to participate in women's sports is a threat to Title IX protections for women, and it is just plain wrong.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Man-made climate change is a global threat and requires urgent political action.

Disagree

Climate change mandates impose regulatory burdens and compliance requirements on small businesses, which comprise a significant portion of the middle-class economy. They reduce the quality of life for all.

What do you believe is the most reliable energy source that will supply the growing demand for electricity?

Nuclear Power may well be the power of the future. In any case, we as a nation should be energy-independent.

ABOUT YOU

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Personal responsibility and self-reliance are important values. People and families should strive to care for themselves and their communities without relying on government help. I spent 38 months in Afghanistan defending our country, and I take to heart President John F Kennedy's quote, "And so, my fellow Americans: ask not what your country can do for you — ask what you can do for your country."

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

The government's general purpose is to provide essential services, maintain order, protect rights, and promote the common good.

Have you ever been penalized for sexual misconduct in either civil or criminal court? If so, please explain.

No

Have you ever been convicted of a felony? If so, please explain.

No

JUDICIAL PHILOSOPHY

The Supreme Court should be reformed to include more seats.

Strongly Disagree

Adding more justices to the Supreme Court could undermine the public's trust in the judiciary and politicize the judicial branch, thereby weakening its ability to act as a check on the other branches of government.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

I support redirecting funds from police departments to community programs.

Strongly Disagree

Public safety is the first responsibility of government.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

None - Law-abiding citizens who own guns protect us against tyranny as well as criminals. We have the right to own and bear weapons under the 2nd Amendment of our Constitution:"..the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."
