OTHER INFORMATION

QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

Only when the life of the Mother is at risk or a threat.

ECONOMY

Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.

Strongly Disagree

The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.

Strongly Agree

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Under the Trump administration changes were made to the tax code which benefited individuals, families, and businesses. I'm not aware of any additional changes, at this time, that should be made.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.

Strongly Agree

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

For too long the church separated itself from the world of politics, as a result there has been a significant decline in values that people embraced. The church doesn't have to be mute on matters that impact citizens and should have a voice -- since we are the people who make up the church. The separation of church and state provides protection for an individual to practice their religion or right to worship in their own way. Basically, preventing the state from imposing upon its citizens a national religion thereby taking control of the way people practice their religion.

HEALTHCARE

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

Only when an individual (employee, student or the parents of a student) consents to be vaccinated.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary.

NATIONAL SECURITY

With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.

B) The United State should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. However, there are times when we must stand up to protect those who are incapable of helping themselves, especially when human rights are violated.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Disagree

The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.

Strongly Agree

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Impose sanctions on countries that harbor/protect individuals who are a threat of Islamic terrorism. Explore and understand the cultural norms and ways of thinking to find methods of re-educating the people in these countries.

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Individuals who love our country and embrace the ideals of our nation, those who are willing to work, and continue their education should be permitted to enter. There will be others who seek asylum for political reasons and once vetted, should be allowed to enter the country. Immigrants who are living in impoverished conditions should be allowed to enter, but there should be restrictions on these numbers.

VALUES

Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I believe in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and that he is the one and only son of God. I believe in the Holy Scripture as the Word of God. It is because of God's grace that I am forgiven and loved, and in turn can offer the same grace to others that is given to me. My greatest desire is to serve as Jesus served, to love as Jesus loved. I am not perfect, but I strive for perfection -- I am a work in progress.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

That all individuals must present at a polling station identification, such as a Military Identification, Driver's License or a State Issued Photo ID. That absentee voters be screened when requesting ballots to ensure they are not deceased, are registered to vote, and have a legitimate reason for requesting an absentee ballot.

EQUALITY

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

Is racism a threat to domestic security, No. Does racism still exist,Yes. As long as we allow the color of a person's skin, or our cultural differences interfere with the way we treat each other we will have issues. However, it should not be considered a threat to domestic security. The United States has come a long way from its past practices, and we must always provide education that informs of our past and embrace our differences so we can strive to be better in the future.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A) Stricter environment laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy.

No

I want to be the voice for the People, I will listen to the concerns and take action as appropriate. This survey covers all the issues that I want to address as a United States Representative of the Ohio 9th District.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Disagree

I support police departments, and their funding should NOT be redirected. I also support additional funding to train police officers to increase their skills as they work with individuals in the community with a mental health diagnosis.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

The only requirement should be training to ensure the gun owner is capable of using the gun safely.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
