Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

None. As your next Representative, I will advocate for the protection of human life without regard to age, handicap, condition, or social position.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Reducing the number of distinctions among economic activities and taxpayers’ characteristics would simplify the code, reducing both taxpayers’ compliance costs and government administrative costs. Some distinctions among taxpayers promote fairness, so there are trade-offs among goals, but the tax law could be simplified without compromising equity.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

To avoid economic collapse, the government either has to increase taxes or reduce future spending. Since raising taxes weakens incentives and further slows economic growth the better approach is to slow government spending "growth."

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it and private healthcare options. Having an MBA/MHA in Healthcare administration, I understand the needs of the people within my district. Private healthcare options are essential to our healthcare system because they encourage accelerated growth in technology, medications, and other methods. However, we have to work to decrease government overreach within our healthcare system.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

ONLY after much evaluation, research, and study, has the vaccine been found to save a majority of the population and eradicate the disease. HOWEVER, I would want to encourage counseling to all members by a medical provider showing that research has been done, data has been collected, and information has been appropriately delivered to the individual. I am for INDIVIDUAL FREEDOM.


NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

We must protect the homeland against any terrorist threat by building strong borders, securing United States infrastructure, and enhancing the preparedness of the American people.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Spiritual Beliefs: I am a Christian. I believe in the living word of the Bible. I have been washed in the blood of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Values: I am a Christian, Conservative, and Constitutional Republican. I believe that our country was founded upon Biblical principles, and we have forsaken those in the last 100 years. I am not only a fiscal conservative but also a social conservative. I am pro-life, pro-second amendment, pro-law enforcement, EMS, and all other emergency services. I believe in our Constitution and that a smaller government is a more effective government. Taxes should remain low, our government should stay out of the private sector and allow businesses to grow on their own merit. I am firm in my belief that truth and falsehood are different and common sense is the most effective way to provide legislation. I believe in an individual's choice on the COVID vaccination and that the American people have the right to decide their healthcare options without government interference.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

There must be photo identification laws, we must also protect the integrity of our elections with the utmost security. I don't believe there is a perfect solution but will work tirelessly as your next Representative to find a solution to protect election integrity.


EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

No. Creating division by promoting the idea of "racism as a domestic security issue" is certainly not the answer. While there are certainly accounts of racism across our country, I believe that any person should be judged upon their merit and not upon the color of their skin.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. However, there are laws that are necessary for the protection of wildlife, and their respective ecosystems. We should allow common sense and those who are truly experts within whatever area to influence our decision-making.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

I have not.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

Kip wants to represent his fellow citizens in Nashville so that their quality of life is improved through less intrusive government, more freedom, and more opportunity to succeed. He believes that less government is better government. “My vision for the 71st is continued economic growth through supporting small businesses and entrepreneurs, more efficient government, lower inflation and taxes, reduced health care costs, and increased access. I am pro-life, pro-Second Amendment, pro-law enforcement and first responders and I strongly support our teachers and students in their quest to educate our children.”


CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

I believe that every American is endowed with certain inalienable rights, granted to us by our Creator, and made our birthright by the sacrifices of the men and women who founded this state and country. The right to keep and bear arms is one of those inalienable rights; one that our government has no authority to infringe or take away.
