What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I want to live in an Iowa that protects our most vulnerable. Children are our future. From the time of conception, they inherit the right to life. Iowa should stand for life. I fully support the Life Amendment, which would improve the Iowa Constitution to explicitly reject the right to an abortion and reject the principle of tax-funded abortion. I want to live in an Iowa that protects my medical freedoms by opposing jab mandates and forced masking. We are made to believe that wearing a cloth mask over our face provides health benefits. We were also made to believe that we would be putting our loved ones in danger by not receiving the jab. I am old enough to remember when medical decisions were private. I am old enough to remember a time where no company would have the nerve to threaten an employee with termination for not providing medical information, or not complying with medical mandates. We must limit the governments ability to quash our God-given rights in situations like Covid, in the name of public health. We cannot allow the government to only ensure our rights when its convenient. The Iowa assembly must act to protect our medical freedoms. I want to live in an Iowa that encourages competition in education. Parents know what is best for their children. Living in a certain neighborhood should not discourage parents from sending their children to whatever school they see fit. Money should follow the student to whatever school they determine is the best fit for them, regardless of whether that is a public school, a private school, a charter school, or a home school. I want to live in an Iowa that treats my tax dollars with respect. In the famous words of Benjamin Franklin, "the only two certainties in life are death and taxes." I think we all recognize the necessary evil of taxes. What we should not tolerate is wasteful spending by our government. In Johnson County we are taxed too high; a quick look at the budget clearly indicates that far too much of those tax dollars are wasted. Government officials spend our tax money carelessly because it is not theirs. More can be done in Iowa to reduce wasteful government spending and provide more transparency to the people who pay taxes. I want to live in an Iowa that stands up to the Federal government. Article V of the U.S. Constitution gives states the power to call a Convention of States to propose amendments. It takes 34 states to call the convention and 38 to ratify any amendments that are proposed. I support a convention that would allow the states to discuss amendments that, limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, impose fiscal restraints, and place term limits on federal officials.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Victims of gun violence can sue firearm dealers and manufactures; however any competent judge recognizes the ridiculousness of the claim and dismisses the lawsuit. Just like any competent judge would dismiss a claim that an alcohol company is liable for all deaths that are caused by intoxicated individuals. When individuals abuse their second amendment rights, the individual should be held accountable, not a company that sold them a firearm.
