OTHER INFORMATION
QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Disagree
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Medical advances have been achieved in obstetrics and neonatology allowing the delivery and support of mothers and babies early in a pregnancy term. I believe that abortion is almost never required to save a pregnant woman’s life. Both mother and baby should receive the highest level of care in a situation when lives are at stake.
ECONOMY
Redistribution of income is needed to lessen the gap between the wealthy and working classes.
Disagree
The government should cut spending in order to reduce the national debt.
Agree
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
I believe that the death tax should be changed to support the prosperity of family owned farms and businesses. The death tax affecting the inheritance of family owned farms and businesses should be, at a minimum, lowered and even eliminated. President Biden and the Democrats in Congress have proposed increases to the death tax. I am against the Democrat’s proposed increases.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Religious liberty is at risk in the United States and deserves the highest level of protection in the law.
Agree
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Disagree
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
The first Amendment is clear: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridge the freedom of speech, or the press, or the right to peaceably assemble, and to petition the Government for redress of grievances. Churches continue to be highly regulated on matters of adoption and serving the poor. Americans want churches to be free to serve their communities and promote the common good with social services. The right to assemble in church communities has been infringed upon hindering participation and community service.
HEALTHCARE
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
None. The government has no authority to to require vaccinations and neither do schools or employers. We have a statute in Illinois that protects citizens from forced vaccinations. It is Statute IL CS 2305/2.
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C. Medicare and Medicaid are essential to citizens. As the wealthiest country in the world, we have a responsibility to care for our poor. We also have a responsibility to older citizens who have worked their whole lives and paid into Medicare.
NATIONAL SECURITY
With regard to America's foreign policy, which view most closely resembles yours: A) The United States should intervene whenever freedom is threatened. B) The United States should selectively help countries trying to grow democracy and fight tyranny. C) The United States has become too involved in others' policies and should remain focused on issues regarding our own sovereignty unless in imminent danger. D) The United States should stay out of foreign conflicts completely.
C. The United States has vast resources to address multiple priorities at the same time. We can protect our borders while monitoring and providing humanitarian aid and assistance to other nations in crisis. We should support other nations as required by treaties however, America’s interests should come first. We should not interfere with other nations while they provide assistance in a crisis. For example, President Biden should not have interfered with President Duda’s decision to provide aircrafts to Ukraine at the beginning of the Russia invasion.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Disagree
Israel is an ally to the United States and a friend. I stand with our ally Israel and I strongly reject an anti-Semitic effort to undermine our most important ally in the Middle East.
The Chinese Communist Party poses serious military, cyber security, intellectual property, and global economic threats to the United States.
Strongly Agree
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
To prevent Islamic terrorism in the United States, we must know who is in our country and why. We must also disrupt terror cells abroad before they can commit murderous acts against America and our allies.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
State and federal funds shall be denied to any public or private entity, such as a sanctuary city, that is not in compliance with immigration laws.
Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
As the granddaughter of an unaccompanied minor who immigrated legally to the United States, I support legal immigration. People should be allowed to come to the United States to seek freedom, democracy and opportunity. It is our American heritage to welcome immigrants who can demonstrate that they can positively impact our country, are willing to work hard and do not have a criminal history.
VALUES
Sexual orientation and gender identity should be protected classes in non-discrimination laws.
Neutral
I do not want anyone to be required to share their sexual orientation on a job application questionnaire or in any other place where a person could be given an advantage or be placed at a disadvantage.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a practicing orthodox Catholic. I believe that Jesus Christ is the son of God. I value my faith and my Christianity informs my daily life and my political views.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
In Illinois, we are not required to show photo identification when voting in elections. States have the responsibility to conduct elections according to their laws. I would support a law in Illinois that requires state-issued identification to vote. I do not support H.R.1 and would vote no in Congress on this legislation.
EQUALITY
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Disagree
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No. Racism is a local concern and it should not be tolerated in any way. Racism can be addressed in communities.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Agree
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A. We are experiencing the highest energy costs in decades. I support energy independence. The United States has the strongest environmental regulations globally to protect the environment.

iVoterGuide Notes:
Candidate informed iVoterGuide.com that her answer should have been, "I grew up in Downers Grove, Illinois and went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication from St. Norbert College in DePere, Wisconsin and a Master of Arts Degree in Speech Communication from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois. I have worked in consumer banking, manufacturing, business consulting and scientific laboratories in marketing events roles. I also worked for a contractor to the Department of Energy. Serving my community, I have been an instructor and adjunct faculty at Waubonsee Community College, College of DuPage and Columbia College of Missouri – Crystal Lake. My husband David and I have four children and lived on the west side of Aurora, IL for many years and currently reside in Geneva, IL." My legislative priorities will include addressing the agencies and regulations that have been directing our lives. Americans have seen agencies including OSHA and the CDC operate free from congressional oversight while imposing burdensome regulations on citizens and businesses alike. Congress has empowered these agencies to self-regulate and operate above judicial review. Congress must act to regain oversight of these agencies and restore power to the people by removing power from unelected bureaucrats. I will also focus on digital privacy. Americans should expect privacy and security for their healthcare and financial records and freedom from government tracking or corporate surveillance.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Agree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The Second Amendment clearly states Americans’ rights to gun ownership.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
