QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

rape, incest, or threat to both baby and mother's life, and only if no other viable options, such as adoption, are available.

iVoterGuide Notes:

Candidate has provided additional reflection on the original viewpoint expressed and would like the following note to be added so that his current position is understood more fully: "After praying and talking to God, I have decided to change my stance on abortion from my previous answer to this: "I believe in a right to life with no exceptions. I believe God made every life for a reason.:""

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

The government shouldn't be funding many things that they currently are and abortion is definitely at the top of that list

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Agree

iVoterGuide Notes:

Candidate has provided additional reflection on the original viewpoint expressed and would like the following note to be added so that his current position is understood more fully: "I was ill informed about assisted suicide and upon recent education I have decided I strongly disagree, not agree with the question about that."

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Nearly all forms of tax should be repealed.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

Government funded medical coverage, education, subsidization of large corporations, and disaster relief to name a few. Suffice it to say I am against most government spending.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

none come to mind

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C - but not expanded, and only left in place until a non-government-related option can be implemented

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

decisions on any type of personal medical treatment should never be made by anyone but the individual or their designated representative. No one should have the power to mandate vaccinations, except parents for their children.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

Secure our borders and tighten immigration laws and refugee policies. Outside of our borders we should not be physically involved.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Strongly Disagree

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

I like the idea of a merit-based system for immigration, with a low total number allowed. This number should only be allowed after exhaustive security vetting.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Agree

I support this over a centralized public school system, but I still believe the government should not be funding education.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

One could always do worse than to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

The government should only recognize at-birth assigned genders of male and female, and it shouldn't recognize anyone by race or sexual preference

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Neutral

I agree that the government should have no authority over marriage, but I believe individual liberty dictates that one should be free to marry whomever one wants. That is between the individuals involved and God.

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

I think we should remove all profit from race by refusing to recognize race from an official government standpoint. It should be removed from the census and job applications. Affirmative action and CRT should be eradicated

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

Born again Christian, saved and baptized. That being said, I believe there are many good people who are not Christian, and many bad people who claim they are.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

In-person same-day voting on secure paper ballots only, counted by poll workers at the local precinct with documented chain-of-custody for transportation of ballots

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

From the general public, absolutely not. From the Democratic party, absolutely so.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

As with most things I do not believe the government should be regulating this.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Agree

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To provide security to the population and enforce laws against crimes that involve a victim only.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

I am a proponent of individual choice and liberty

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

no and no

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I want the government to leave you alone. "The scariest words any American can hear are 'I'm from the government and I'm here to help.'"-Ronald Reagan

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Agree

Only if they did their job according to policy. If they commit a violation of said policy, they should be held liable.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

violent felonies, absolutely nothing else

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree
