QUESTIONNAIRE*

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

None. I believe that all human life is God-given and must be protected regardless of the manner of conception. And in the case of a mother's health, I believe that all available efforts should be made to save the life of the mother AND child.

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

ECONOMY

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

Georgians want to keep more of their hard-earned money, and our local economy suffers when our financial freedom is limited. Tennessee has no income tax on salaries, yet experiences growth throughout their state that our NW Georgia community does not share. There is limited local economic growth in NWGA compared to what is being created across the border. Therefore I support abolishing our state income tax.

What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?

There is so much government waste. Investigate, then cut the pork--anything that goes beyond what the true purpose of government should be, which is to provide infrastructure, education, public safety. When there are no homeless vets, when all senior citizens are cared for generously, and when no child goes without healthy food and a roof over their head, then, and only then should we subsidize other countries and non essential programs here at home. Charity should and must begin at home.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Strongly Disagree

Our Education system must be fully reformed. It has become infiltrated by those who wish to indoctrinate and groom our children, instead of preparing them for a real future. A total common sense, back to basics overhaul is very needed.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

NONE

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. I also believe that our medical and pharmaceutical industries should be reformed and other forms of healthcare, which actually prevent AND cure illness should be investigated and supported, not endlessly worshiping the very corrupt medical and insurance industries.

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

NOT ANY CIRCUMSTANCE.

NATIONAL SECURITY

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?

The US should maintain a strong military and should strengthen mightily, our borders; and not allow illegals into our country, and carefully vet those who wish to be citizens.

I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Disagree

IMMIGRATION

The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.

Strongly Agree

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?

Those with skills this country needs, those without criminal history, and those who demonstrate a real love and loyalty to the United States of America.

EDUCATION

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

Strongly Agree

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition

Strongly Agree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a born again Christian. I believe that God sent his son, Christ to die on the cross for our sins, so that we can be forgiven and saved, and live with the Holy Spirit in our hearts. I also do not hate anyone who disagrees with me. God teaches us to love our neighbor as ourselves and that is what I strive to do, in all things.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

We should abolish Dominion voting machines and drop boxes, and go back to voting one day, in person, on a paper ballot, with a photo ID, and only have absentee ballots for the military or for those who are house bound

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I think there are lots of imperfections among us on earth, and the government is not responsible for addressing or changing our actions, beliefs, or imperfections. We are MUCH less racist than we are told by a bias, propagandized press. So no. I do not think that racism is a threat.

Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

Strongly Disagree

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. I'll add that we should look into the current regulations and find out why we are restricting our local farmers, but subsidizing huge monstrous corporations like Monsanto, who pollutes our air, water, and food supply.

I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.

Strongly Agree

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

To facilitate infrastructure, education, and keep us safe.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

Since I have never run for office, I do not have past interviews or media reports to substantiate my provided opinions. However, I do have years of Facebook posts that are still up, running, and accessible, and after about 10 minutes of scrolling, anyone should be able to confirm my statements as long held and truthful.

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No.

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

My name is Jackie Harling and I am a born-again Christian, a wife, a small business owner, a singer, and my favorite, a mother. I have always been an outspoken Christian conservative, however, I had never envisioned myself running for public office. But when I watched the fraudulent 2020 election go on without action from our legislators, I became upset and angry like you. My eyes were opened to the fact that not everyone with a “R” by their name can be trusted to stand up for us. That is what has led me to get involved and run for public office. As your state representative, I will take our conservative values to Atlanta and fight for each one of you everyday, not just fill a seat and vote yes or no. I will always fight for: •Second Amendment Rights •Election Integrity & Security •ENDING CRT in Georgia •Sponsor bill which DRASTICALLY CUTS your income tax (we currently pay income tax AND Tennessee’s higher sales tax because we’re so close to Chattanooga—our District MUST be compensated for that!) •LIFE-which starts at conception •BAN ALL mask & VACCINE mandates in Georgia •Put more money BACK in your pockets, and NOT RUBBER STAMP the ESTABLISHMENT I will always be a strong voice of opposition to corruption, government overreach, tax increases, and the radical left that is trying to tear our country apart. We need public servants in office who will listen to the voice of their constituents. We need new, outspoken conservative representation in Atlanta. That is why I am running. I would be honored to earn your vote on May 24th to be a strong representative for everyone in District 1 (Trenton, Lafayette, Lookout Mountain, and Rossville). Please let me amplify YOUR voice at the Capital. God Bless you all and GOD BLESS GEORGIA!

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Agree

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

"Shall not be infringed..."

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree
