QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Rape, incest, and the health of the mother.
iVoterGuide Notes:
Upon further reflection, the candidate asked the following adjustment be added to the original answer: “Definitely for if the case is to save the life of the mother. When it comes to rape/incest, the father should be obligated by the court child support payments, (and the court transfer the moneis to the mother). This keeps the father from influencing the family, along with a no-contact order between the mother and father, but does not eliminate the father’s responsibility.”
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Agree
iVoterGuide Notes:
After further consideration the candidate asked for the following clarification be added to the original answer: “I am a firm believer in personal freedoms. However, there is a great deal of nuance. For instance, would a hospital get to increase its bottom-line by keeping the patient alive? I do not think so. Is the hospital populated by potential beneficiaries for their personal gain. Or, by those who want to promote the assisted suicide? Thus, I would have to see a bill with full checks and balances on how to reserve the rights of the patient.”
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
I would like to see Georgia become the 10th State to not have a State income tax. I envision this would be a 5-10 year process once the legislature determined how the State would generate funding to make up for the missing revenue.
iVoterGuide Notes:
After further reflection, the candidate wishes to add the following to the end of the original answer: “We should study the several states that have successfully eliminated their income tax and adopt their best practices.”
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
In Georgia we have a balance budget constitutional amendment.
iVoterGuide Notes:
Statement should read "balanced" budget versus 'balance' budget.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
When a church does not follow the non-profit guidelines of being a church. They should not be political.
iVoterGuide Notes:
Upon further reflection, the candidate wishes to amend response: "Never. The First Amendment would not allow a law to do so, and never should."
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
C
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
I don't believe that anyone should be required to be vaccinated. I believe in personal responsibility and some just don't believe in vaccines. That stated, a private employer or school has the ability to mandate their employees/students be vaccinated. The government or public schools should not require anyone to be vaccinated. They should be encouraged but not mandated.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
NA for the position I am running for.
iVoterGuide Notes:
Upon further reflection, the candidate wishes to add the following to the end of the original answer: “The US should secure the border and only let vetted people in. In Georgia, we should send any apprehended illegal aliens to Delaware.”
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
iVoterGuide Notes:
Upon further reflection, the candidate wishes to add the following to the end of the original answer: “I am a strong follower of Israel. I buy Israeli Bonds in support of Israel.”
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
We are a sovereign nation with 50 sovereign states. We financially assist other countries with protecting their borders. I support legal immigration. Immigration is a federal issue and should not be forced upon the states to solve.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
Anyone who wants to be a US citizen and will assimilate to our country values and culture. They also want to contribute and be responsible for themselves. We should not be a welfare state.
iVoterGuide Notes:
Upon further reflection, the candidate wishes to add the following to the end of the original answer: “In the old days, immigrants had to have sponsors. If immigrants could not support themselves, the responsibility was on the sponsor to provide a living, not the government. We should return to this model.”
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
Parents should have a larger say in where their children attend school.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Agree
iVoterGuide Notes:
Upon further reflection, the candidate would like to add the following to the end of the original answer: “During the Protestant Reformation and the Age of Enlightenment birthed the ideas of religious freedom and a right to own private property. These are some of the fundamental principles on which our Founding Fathers developed our system of Government."
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Neutral
The government should not dictate marriage.
iVoterGuide Notes:
Upon further reflection, the candidate wishes to adjust the original answer as follows: After neutral, please delete the statement. Please instead, add: “I believe in personal freedom. If someone wants to marry someone else, that is none of my business. In fact, marriage was, and should return to a religious act, taking the State out of it. Then, all the marriage arguments disappear.”
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a Jewish woman who attends a conservative synagogue.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
I have been involved with elections for over 10 years. Working as a Poll Manager and on the GAGOP Voter Confidence Task Force. A photo ID should be required for voting. It is one more thing that one must show to do something and if someone needs an ID at this, they can get a free one (at least in Georgia).
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
In order to vote by Absentee Ballot (AB), the voter is not able to attend their polling place on election day. In Georgia, we have 2 weeks of early voting prior to election day. In order for a voter to request an AB, the voter needs a reason meeting the criteria. AB should requirethe voter to send in a copy of a valid photo ID. Drop boxes should be outlawed. If not outlawed, then they should be monitored by camera 24/7 and possibly have someone overseeing this. Ballot harvesting should be outlawed. No outside monies should go directly to an election department or State. Prohibit QR codes because no one can directly read it without their cellphone. Have voter rolls cleaned up annually. Immunity election challengers and challenges for illegal voters on the rolls.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
From what point of view?
iVoterGuide Notes:
Upon further reflection, the candidate wishes to adjust the original answer as follows: Delete what is typed, and replace with the following: “Racism should not be allowed in the US. The Left’s idea of grouping people by race, sex, ethnicity, etc. is abhorant to the 14th Amendment, where we should all be treated equal.”
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
iVoterGuide Notes:
Upon further reflection, the candidate would like to add the following to the end of the original answer: “No one alive today was a slave in the US. It was different for the WWII Japanese-Americans, in which those imprisoned may still be alive today. Reparations have already been made by affirmative action, which is outlasting its usefulness.”
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Agree
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
To establish laws, maintain order and provide security, protect citizens from external threats, and promote the general welfare by providing public services.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
I am quoted in 13 articles or papers. I am happy to supply those upon request, as there is no way to upload them.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
NO!
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
Restore Election Integrity Lower/Eliminate State Income Tax End Divisive Curriculum Pro School Choice Pro 2nd Amendment Pro Small Business
iVoterGuide Notes:
For clarity, original answer amended as follows: Restore Election Integrity, Lower/Eliminate State Income Tax, End Divisive Curriculum, Pro School Choice, Pro 2nd Amendment, and Pro Small Business
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Agree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Disagree
iVoterGuide Notes:
Upon further reflection, the candidate would like the following added to the end of the original answer: “I support additional funding for mental health, but not a the expense of law enforcement funding.”
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Anyone who wants to purchase a legal gun, should be able to.
iVoterGuide Notes:
Upon further reflection, the candidate wishes to delete the original answer and replace with the following: “Gun ownership is an inherent right. Any narrowing of this right should be rare and very clear. Felons and those committing violent misdemeanors should not own guns. (rights should be restored, like voting rights, when the sentence is fully completed). Those with mental illness or conditions should be banned from gun ownership.”
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
