RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Only when the life of the mother is in serious jeopardy or when the fetus has died within the womb! Roe v Wade was established to allow for abortion only when conditions determined that the mothers life is in jeopardy. We jumped on that slippery slope where we and our elected republican officials over time, have permitted by compromise and repeated conccesions to where we are today. Where are we today? California is now allowing for the abortion ( murder) of a baby up to one week AFTER it is born. There is another proposal on the table back East that would allow for the murder of a baby up to 1 month after the baby is born. The liberals can call it whatever they wish, but in my book this is gynecide and outright murder. Isn't it about time we elect Republican officials with a spine! Enough is enough!
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
The government has no business providing the funding for an abortion or any other procedure that is contrary to moral and ethical beliefs of its citizenry. In almost all cases, abortions' are the murdering of our babies! Not only should we not fund abortion, we should provide funding to put a stop to this abomination.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
This is a slippery Slope that we should not venture into. Who is to say exactly what criteria would be used that makes one eligible for euthanasia. We need to utilize our medical knowledge and advances to make those with terminal illness comfortable. This should be how we should handle all cases in which someone is suffering and close to death. .
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
Income taxes, and many sales taxes should be reduced, such as taxes on food. Government overreach and bueracracy must be reduced to decrease the need for more and more taxation. By any standard, we are living in a socialist society just based on the amount we pay in taxes. Many families are paying well above 50% when you all the different taxes together. This is unacceptable! I believe that the United States of America should adopt a FLAT tax that is equitably distributed on all Americans.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
Massive reduction in government bueracracy. Massive reductions and outright disbandment of several regulatory agencies within the government, such as the Department of Education, which has no business in education in the first place. I would reduce the amount of aid to certain countries that have known corruption in government and I would streamline almost every governmental agency. We can never dip into Social Security, Medicaid or Medicare, These have been funded directly by the individuals over the duration of the working career. This is not the governments money and yet they have robbed the citizens in which they are sworn to protect.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
Absolutely not. In fact, I am in favor of school vouchers if a parent decides to remove their child from public schools. And I believe in private grants and scholarships based on merit for college education. I believe that parents and children should make good decisions relative to selecting collage plans, such as city colleges and in-state universities. Many students are choosing the most expensive out of state schools that result in huge college debt. The public should not bear this burden
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
No way. Government needs to stay out of individuals and private business affairs relative to moral and religious decisions. In the case where a service is vital to an individuals health or in a life and death situation, then yes, a service should be rendered. Such as hospital services. But for the government to force a bakery for example, to make a wedding cake for a gay couple wishing to get married, even when it goes against the biblical principles of the owner is simply unconstitutional.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
There is basically no circumstance when government should be able to make this determination for a church and for peoples right to worship when and where they choose. There my be an isolated case or two, where a building department deems a building unsafe for occupancy, in which case the church can choose to meet elsewhere until such a time as the issues are corrected. But never, ever under circumstances that we experienced with the Covid-19 mandates. The Federal government, and in many cases, State government has greatly over reached their bounds and authority with this intrusion into our lives. The government has long forgotten, or they simply do not care anymore, that the government works for the people, and that under no circumstance should we the people be subservient to the government. The idea of separation of church and state also comes into play here, people often misunderstand the intent of this part of our constitution and government officials have intentionally distorted the meaning. The establishment of this provision was to protect the church and your choice of religion from the government and not as many would have you believe that the government needs to be protected from the church.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
Option C Medicaid and Medicare have been paid into by the people that utilize it ( in most cases). Government intrusion into our health issues, both coverage and mandated treatment is simply wrong and infringes on our individual rights under the Constitution of the United States. The less that the government can be involved in healthcare the better. Government is neither fiscally responsible and prudent nor is it efficient. It should stay out of our health care issues altogether. Those in power today believe in large part that the government id God and that the people are its subjects. They have intruded into every aspect of our lives and by doing so, have completely flipped the constitution upside down
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
Under NO circumstance! This is the land of the free and the home of the brave, PERIOD! Government has lied, manipulated, coerced and has misled our citizens. This needs to be a matter of personal choice. If an individual believes that they should receive a vaccination it is their right, conversely, if an individual believes that it is unsafe, or not in their best interest, or their children's best interest, it should be their choice. If a person believes that a vaccination is effective, then by their decision to receive the vaccination, it should adequately protect them against those that chose not to receive it. Its quite simple and logical actually.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
The government should start by closing our southern border. It is not rocket science to figure out that every type of person is coming into our country this way, this includes terrorist and everyone else that wishes to do this country and its people harm. We should also place the most stringent of sanctions on those countries that are known to harbor and support terrorists, Iran is one example of this. We should not fund these countries in any way regardless of its humanitarian condition or because of the health and wellbeing of its citizens. The reasoning behind this is, that the money supplied is not passed through to those that actually need it, rather it is kept and funneled toward efforts to harm this country and its citizens. It is criminal what happened in the Biden administration with respect to Afghanistan, there was no plan to withdraw, we left thousands of our own citizens behind, we left 80+ Billion dollars worth of the most sophisticated military equipment behind to terrorist in the Taliban, along with billions of dollars in cash. The Biden administration is incompetent, ignorant, stupid and it could be argued very easily, treasonous due to their action there. Countless people lost their lives as a direct result of the Biden administrations actions, including 13 of our own military among others. We must seek out and destroy sleeper cells of terrorists that are already in our country and we must infiltrate and gather intelligence information on terrorist organizations abroad and destroy them before their strategies of terror can exterminate innocent lives. We must forever be diligent in our search for evil and eradicate it prior to any action on their part.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
If a person is willing to research, they can easily see that that original inhabitants of Israel were the Jewish people. There can be no doubt that this region has been controlled by many different groups for thousands of years. As a believer in Judeo-Christian principles and doctrine, I believe that Israel was divinely established by our Creator and given to the Jewish people, and as such should remain in Jewish possession.
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
The Biden administration is intentionally and purposefully allowing for open boarders at huge cost to the American citizens. Biden and his puppet masters have disregarded their most sacred duty, and that is to protect our citizens The wall that Donald Trump started should be finished as soon as possible. The drugs coming through the border are killing our children and the human trafficking' is evil and unacceptable. Biden should be held accountable for his negligence to protect the our people.
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
We should allow for refugees, such as those coming in from the Ukraine very soon, a situation where their country is war-torn and innocent lives are being lost. We should allow for immigrants to come into this country under the laws that are currently in place but are not enforced. Immigration is what made this country so great, the diversity, the cultures coming together into a nation like no other that has ever existed. But to allow those that would come into the country through illegal means is wrong and those that do it must be held accountable. What is a country that has no borders and is open to anyone that desires to enter undetected, well I say. it will soon be no nation at all. It must be controlled and controlled now.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
Every parent should have the right to choose what is in the best interest of their children, free of government intrusion. Education needs to be controlled at the base level by the parent and then the school boards. The government has no place in the education of our children both at the state and federal levels. I would do away with the department of education
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
This nation, The United States of America was the first country in the history of the world that created a nation established for God. Not even Israel did this, why? Because God created Israel for the Jewish people and not the people for God. Although not perfect, the foundation of this country has been the model and the catalyst for liberty and freedom never before experienced by man. With the establishment of this country, citizens have the liberty and freedom to pursue their dreams.
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
God created Man (XY) & God created woman (XX). Those individuals are believe they are something other than this are horribly misguided and need our loving care and emotional and mental assistance. Having said this, God loves every person on this earth equally, therefore, we should follow his example to the best of our ability and love all people regardless of their mental and emotion condition. God loves each and every person, but he hates many of his deeds.
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Strongly Agree
God said it is so. so this is how it should be. Government needs to stay out of our individual matters and has no places regulating, mandating and making laws contrary to Gods design. Again, God loves every person regardless of what they believe, he does not however, accept their misguided notions.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Critical Race Theory (CRT) is by its very nature self contradicting. It is one of, if not the most racist ideology that I have ever seen. It should not only be banned from our schools but also from every public institution. It is an ideology of hate, polarization and discrimination and has no place in our world. Extremists and elitists use CRT as a tactic for domination, division and ultimately control. BTW- Critical Race Theory is currently being taught in our Utah public schools.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a non denominational Christian. I believe that Jesus Christ was God that became man. Jesus did this to reconcile man to himself. God made man in his image and gave him a free will to choose for himself. Due to this freewill man has made many wrong choices thereby introducing sin into the world. Because of Gods perfect nature, he cannot co-exist with man, This is why Jesus Christ came to earth to take on mans sins, so man can once again be reconciled to God. If you believe this, that Jesus died for your sins so that you can once again be with him after death then you are saved from an eternity without God. This is a gift from God, grace if you will. It is not earned it is simply accepted. When one truly believes this, then one strives to do as God wishes and commands.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
Voting is a right and a liberty given to us by our founding fathers. Only those that are citizens of this country should be allowed to vote, this is law and this is right. We need to show proof of who we are when we drive our vehicles or when we pick up a prescription along with many other things. Voting is basic to the very foundation of this nation and should be reserved for its citizens only. There are many that would take advantage of the voting system if identification was not a requirement
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Within the State of Utah I would require proof of identity, such as a government issued drivers license or state issued ID. I would get rid of voting machines and go back to paper, traceable ballots. Additionally, mail in ballots would be by request only, and for those individuals that are ill, disabled, incapacitated in some way or in the military. I would allow for absentee voting in some circumstances, such as being away on business or being abroad for some reasons. I would allow for drop boxes but only if the drop boxes are monitored ,either in person or on camera. I would take the US Postal Service out of the equation with the exception of the above mentioned special circumstance due to ballot stuffing, lost mail and other postal service issues. Monitoring of ballot counting must be conducted with all sides being represented as ballot watchers. No closing down of ballot counting mysteriously in the middle of the night, I would require complete transparency and allow for random auditing. If there is abundant concern then a full audit must be conducted. People have lost faith in the voting system and the integrity must be restored at all costs.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
Racism itself is not the threat, however, the accusations of racism are. The left has been using the racism card as a polarizing faction in our nation for decades. They will label anyone a racist that does not believe or buy into their radical ideologies. The left will utilize race as a tool in an attempt to label, silence and discredit anyone to further their own agenda. To a very large extent this tactic by the left has been quite affective, I have never seen our country so divided as it is right now. Critical Race Theory (CRT) is the latest attempt by many on the left to keep this country polarized and divided. Critical Race Theory attempts to instill in our youth the false notion that white people are inherently racist, unfortunately, many young people are buying into this lie. The affects on our young people are dramatically negative and extremely harmful. For the young person of color, it brings with it a sense of entitlement and hatred of whites, for the white person it is damaging to self esteem and promotes a sense of guilt and feelings of unworthiness. In older people that cannot see through this false notion it promote divisiveness, resentfulness and indeed, hatred. Critical Race Theory (CRT) is being taught in our Utah schools to children at a very young age, this is entirely unacceptable, wrong and inherently very bad. How have our Republican elected officials, our school Boards, our administrators, our teachers and we as parents allowed this to happen? We as individuals and parents have failed to keep a watchful eye on those that we have entrusted our children too. I believe that people are beginning to wake up, get involved and are prepared to do what is necessary to once again take control of what our children are being taught. It is our responsibility to hold each other, our government and the bureaucrats accountable for not only what's being taught in our schools, but to also stamp out the false ideologies such as Critical Race Theory and any other racist ideologies. In the end, the responsibility falls with us, the people.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
NEVER! This once again imposes upon us the false notion that what happened to black people over 150 years ago, is somehow the white people of todays fault and responsibility. This is an absurd notion that should be shut down by everyone, regardless of color immediately. This is nothing more then an attempt to promote hate and polarization. Any person with any measure of honesty knows that every race, religion and color of people has had some form of injustice perpetrated against them in history.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A. Stricter Laws and regulations cost to many jobs and hurt the economy. There is a place for the EPA, however. it has grown well beyond its authority as defined by the Constitution of the United States. Contrary to what liberals might say, we all want clean water to drink and clean air to breath. As technology has improved, so has the ability to mine, extract natural gas and fossil fuels with less damage to the environment. As a nation, it is critical to be self reliant for our energy needs, we have all witnessed first hand what happens when we restrict pipelines, pumping of natural gas and digging for fossil fuels. We end up buying our products from rogue nations such as Iran and Russia. In effect, we have been supporting the Russian war effort against the Ukraine by buying their fuel. Although, this has finally been put to an end, the Biden administration is essentially begging Middle Eastern Countries to produce more oil for us here in the United States. The cost of gas in this country was under $2.00 / barrel under President Trump but is now it is approaching and in many cases exceeding $5.00 / gallon in many locations across the US. The liberals talk big talk but they do not walk the walk, I see them driving their cars just as much as the rest of us. Electric Vehicles right now are not efficient enough, the technology needs a great deal of improvement. The pollution that created to power electric vehicles far exceed what it takes to power gas driven vehicles. What no one seems to talk about is much much coal needs to be burned in order to generate enough electricity to charge an electric vehicle. Additionally, the materials, like lithium, that are needed for the production these batteries causes just as much harm to the environment as drilling for gas and mining for coal. Make no mistake about it, we need fuel, coal, oil, natural gas and other minerals to thrive as a nation, under President Trump we supplied all of our power and fuel needs, in fact we were exporting oil. Under Biden, we are reliant on foreign countries which is entirely unacceptable. Yes we need clean, but we also need self reliance and self sufficiency.
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Strongly Agree
Hydraulic fracking has allowed this nation to become energy independent for the first time in our history. It has allowed us self sufficiency with respect to oil production that fuels our vehicles, in fact, we have been able to export oil to other countries. Due to fracking, fuel costs have been at or well below $2.00 gallon. We all are experiencing what happens when you ban fracking and pipeline to move the fuel for refinement, $5.00 plus per gallon. The Biden administration is to blame.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The purpose of government is to serve and protect the people, PERIOD! The primary role of government both federally and at the state level is to provide protection for its citizens from enemies both foreign and domestic. Government should only be allowed to do this for the common good of the people, to provide services that the people or the private sector cannot provide for themselves, examples of this are the military, our road systems, foreign relations and general policing and protection. This was the intent of the United States Constitution, that the people held the power, then the states and lastly the federal government. As we all would agree, this lineage of control has been completely turned around, we have the federal government at the top, then bureaucrats, followed by states then the collective or subjects ( the people). The federal government has in effect placed itself at the very top, attempting to replace God as the Sovereign Deity to be worshiped and obeyed by the people. This must change and it must change in a hurry, before this great nation is lost to one centralized government. One Nation Under GOD... not One Nation under the federal government. I believe it will be almost impossible to reverse the power of the federal government and the bueracracy that has been created under it. One way to do it is to implement a Convention of States to wrestle control away from the federal government and back to the states and the people where it belongs. There are currently 19 states that have called for a Convention of States, Utah is not one of them, it should be. All is NOT well in Zion. For a Convention of States to convene it will take 34 states so we have a way to go. Government i out of control at both the federal and state level and must be reined in before it is to late.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Based on all the previous answers I believe it is easy to see that I most definitely stand on the conservative side of issues. Fiscal responsibility, balanced budget, self reliance with a hand up not a hand out, strong defense, small government, less bueracracy, more power and control to the people, capitalism, peace through strength, Freedom and Liberty.
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
This is my first time running for any kind of Public position. I do not have any media on myself that I am aware of. I can be found on social media LinkedIn.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
NO
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I learned to work hard early in life. I worked my way through college without incurring any debt. I began my first company at the age of 20 and grew it into a prosperous General Contracting Company. I raised 4 children as a single father, due to their mothers drug addiction and mental health issues. As a contractor I began developing Real Estate projects on my own, many multi-family dwelling units. I also have companies that provide various services to apartments, office buildings and condominium projects. Legislative Priorities include: Sponsoring Legislation to ensure fair voting practices and procedures that allows for transparency and audits. Free and Fair voting is fundamental to the restoration and future of our nation. I would support Legislation that prioritized parental rights in our school system. As part of this legislation, I would ban harmful notions such as Critical Race Theory and Sexual Orientation issues are should be taught in the home. I would sponsor Legislation that would defund and remove the National Board of Education, School curriculum must be brought back down to the local level where it belongs. The federal government lays claim to approximately 3/4th of the land in Utah. This land should be owned and controlled by Utahans, not the federal government. I would sponsor legislation that would bring this land back under our control and give Utah and its citizens the right to use it as they see fit, for mining, gas and oil exploration and drilling, recreational uses and much more. I would sponsor legislation that would give Utah control over its water, rivers, streams and aqueducts. I would sponsor legislation that would adequately fund our police to help ensure that we live in a safe society. I would support any legislation that would strip the federal government of its overreaching unconstitutional power, bring it back to the state and local levels. I would support legislation that would secure our borders, reducing illegal immigration, drugs and human trafficking.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Agree
I do not believe the public realize how difficult being a police office can be. Day in and day out they are dealing with the worst elements of our society and our communities. In todays society, there are those individuals that have complete and total disregard for law and order as well as the men and women that are hired to deal with them. There are those that would taunt, incite and prompt our officers hoping for settlements. They should be free from prosecution if within department policy.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
Police departments are already under funded. There is no doubt that there is a significant place for mental health and community programs but not at the expense of our personal and societal safety. Ultimately the problems of anti-social and illegal behavior begins in the home. The basic family unit is in threat and must be corrected to better society. The left has worked hard at disbandment of the family unit through a number of different means and solutions to this must first be considered.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
I believe as the 2nd amendment of the United Sates Constitution states, that the people have the right to keep and bear arms and this right shall not be infringed. Felons should not have this right, small children should not have this right and those of limited mental capacity that is sufficient to impair judgement should not have this right.. I do not believe that the individual should be able to own fully automatic weapons and weapons such as rocket launchers, hand grenades and other weaponry that can kill multiple people with a single deployment. Otherwise, people have the right to protect themselves and their families and the government should stay out of their business regarding this. Also, one of the original intents of the second amendment was to protect the people from a tyrannical government. At times it seem as though we are not to far from this idea.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
Not only no, HELL NO! This is an absurd liberal thinking notion. It is a commonly used phrase but very true, guns do not kill people, people do. Do we sue a car maker when someone gets behind the wheel and intentionally runs over people? Do we sue baseball bat manufactures if someone uses a bat to kill someone, or a tire jack or a clothes iron and on and on and on? Of course not, you hold the person responsible that is guilty of using any of these items to harm or kill someone else. Period!
