What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
In regard to the position I am running for, I believe and will work to ensure that Arkansas eliminates the state income tax, reducing it to 0%.
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
In Arkansas our government currently operates under a budget surplus, which I believe should be remitted back to tax payers. In terms of ways I believe we could reduce government spending by promoting efficiencies in spending for Arkansas Department of Education. I believe that funding students and not systems promotes spending efficenies and reduces the average cost per student in public education. I would reduce spending by streamlining occupational licensing for state regulated industries. Reducing fees, eliminating government bureaucracy, and promoting efficiencies in terms eliminating redundancies and promoting private options will help reduce burden on government spending, enforcement and lessen the burden on taxpayers. The Arkansas Departments of Health and Human Service are both governmental areas that need would benefit from streamlining and promoting efficiencies. I would encourage the exploration of a system of funding that is similar to zero-based budgeting with justification and legislative oversight in budgeting.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?
In terms of centers of worship, I.E. the literal practice of worship to whatever religious belief system, I believe that should never be circumstances that governments can close churches. Citizens should be allowed to practice their faith as guaranteed in the First Amendment of the Constitution. Limiting or shutting down churches for their religious beliefs or exercising of their faith is an undue infringement by any Government.

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. I believe that decisions regarding vaccinations should be solely left up to individuals and their medical providers. I believe that mandates that violate individuals conscience are unconstitutional.

What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
Islamic terrorism, and all other forms of United States focused terrorism, is adhorrent and should be eliminated by way of removal of regimes and organizations that threaten the standing of the United States and citizens of our country.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.

Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
I believe that our immigration system should first and foremost be to the benefit of our country and our current citizens. Our immigration policies should carefully and uniquely allow individuals to become citizens if they agree to adhere to our system of law and order, pay fair and due taxes, and participates in our American way of life.

I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.

I am a fierce proponent of putting students first, and funding students, not systems. School choice is only way for us to lift Arkansas education out of the cellar and into the 21st century. I support ESA's, voucher programs, freedom of mobility of students, and the presence and ability for students to cross arbitrary boarders to attend charter, magnet, and specialized public schools.

I am a devout member of the Roman Catholic faith, and an active parishoner in my local church. I believe that in all things God should be glorified, and that he sent his only begotten son to die for our sins and that through faith and good works anyone can achieve ultimate salvation. My moral ethic can be broadly defined as I use my religious foundation coupled with consquentialism, and the political economic theory of human flourishing to determine the capability and opportunity for our society.

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
I believe that voting laws should be encourage the highest level of participating possible while maintaining the strictest integrity. Additionally, I find that vote-by-mail should be an option exercised for members of our community and state that cannot, or are otherwise unable to vote in person. I believe that our local and state officials have been more then accommodating in the years prior to COVID-19 to allow for absentee and early voting, and that our democratic process has a voting day, not a voting month. I believe that vote by mail transparency and integrity should be paramount--As COVID has changed our current ways of working for voting we need to ensure that our voting records and ballot requests are truly iniaited by individual citizens and are authenticated/matching to existing voting records. Additionally, we should disabuse the voting-access and request process from political party efforts. IE, neither major political parties, nor subsidiaries, or cause-based organizations should be able to request, partially complete, or orchestrate ballots on behalf of citizens. Individuals should be the driving force and catalyst behind ballot requests, access, and casting. I believe that matching ballots to signatures is a common-place measure to ensure that voters are truly the beings that are voting.

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
No one should be discriminated against by the way God made them. At civil and community level it is incumbent of leaders to lessen our differences based on race and respect individual cultures. We live in a more divided and divisive time then our country has ever experienced, and that racism could become a threat to our national security if we let the power of identity political become greater then our ability to find common ground as citizens of this great country.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The only reasonable restriction I believe should exist relevant to gun ownership to protect public safety is the existing and enforced federal Undetectable Firearms Act that requires a minimal amount of metal within firearms to be detectable by metal detectors. Other then that I do not believe in any other restrictions to gun ownership. Additionally, I believe that felons should not have the ability to own or purchase firearms. Any other prohibition on gun ownership should have due process protections.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
