Info from Other Sources:
- Justice Campbell is a member of the Federalist Society and has spoken at a number of events.
- As the Associate Solicitor General of Tennessee, Justice Campbell was on a panel previewing the 2021 Supreme Court term. When asked about the significance of Dobbs to abortion regulations in Tennessee, she said that it was "hard to overstate the significance" in light of Tennessee's laws and Casey. She explained, "the activity of state legislatures in this area is such strong evidence that the viability line is not working and that there is a lot of popular support for more restrictive abortions laws. So, just from my office's perspective, we are really hoping for that, if it doesn't overrule Roe and Casey, that does rework the viability standard in a way that gives states the flexibility they need to respond to changes on the ground in scientific evidence and understand and just to respond to the popular will about what laws are needed in this area."
- Justice Campbell is an elected member of the American Law Institute.
