QUESTIONNAIRE
RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
Only in cases that it is necessary to save the life of the Mother.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Strongly Disagree
ECONOMY
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
I think we need to go back to the original design laid out in the Constitution where the States are responsible to fund the federal government according to their population; Taxes would then be legislated from the State House through our Representatives that we can access and hold accountable. The power of the purse is the only power we have to limit the size of government. The States are the creators of the federal government and the States need to take back the power of the purse, it is the only way to limit and control the power the federal government wields over us through the many agencies it has created. The federal government must stop spending money it does not have and stop leaving the American people and future generations the bill. The national debt is now over 30 trillion according to https://www.usdebtclock.org
What government spending would you reduce in order to balance the budget?
I would use the Constitution as the blueprint, returning to the original design of the States being responsible to tax their people for their own legislated needs in their State and not relying on any federal funding. I would ask people to require visible budget breakdowns and take notice of what is being spent; then hold their Representatives accountable by contacting them and letting their voices be heard. They also need to vote out any Representative for approving any taxes that are unnecessary or excessive.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
Schools need to get away from all federal funding because it gives the federal government the power to control the curriculum.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
Under no circumstances should the government be able to close churches.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
B would be my answer, but I think that government-funded healthcare needs to be developed at the State and local government levels where individuals who want to support government-funded healthcare can join this healthcare plan with others in a trust.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
In no circumstance should vaccinations be required, it is up to the individual.
NATIONAL SECURITY
What should the United States do to help eradicate the threat of Islamic terrorism?
We need to uphold the Constitution and the rule of law equally for all citizens.
I support the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement to pressure Israel to withdraw from occupied territories, remove the separation barrier in the West Bank, allow full equality for Arab-Palestinian citizens of Israel, and promote the rights of Palestinian refugees.
Strongly Disagree
IMMIGRATION
The U.S. should do more to physically secure the southern border.
Strongly Agree
Who should be allowed to immigrate to the U.S. and under what circumstances?
We have immigration laws established that require a process to become a citizen, to immigrate you must go through that process before you enter the country.
EDUCATION
I support school choice, including voucher programs, tax credits, charter schools, private schools, and home schools.
Strongly Agree
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
Marriage is a God-ordained, sacred and legal union of one man and one woman. No government has the authority to alter this definition
Strongly Agree
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I am a bible believing, spirit-filled Christian that follows Jesus and relies on the Holy Spirit to guide me with wisdom.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
I believe we should only allow mail-in ballots for specific cases where they are not able to physically come to vote in person. Mail-in ballots need to be carefully checked for signature verification and validation.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
I do not believe most people are racist. I believe most people judge others based on their character, not their color. The few who want to make it an issue must be held to the rule of law and not allowed to destroy property and loot using racism as an excuse.
Reparations should be given to people on the basis of race.
Strongly Disagree
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A
I support the use of hydraulic fracking to extract oil and natural gas resources.
Agree
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The purpose of government is to secure the rights of the People.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Very Conservative
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
https://www.wctv.tv/content/news/Controversial-abortion-bill-makes-second-advance-in-Senate-567017221.html - Spoke before the Senate Judiciary Committee on the Parental Consent for Abortion Bill that passed.
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
N/A
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
I plan to help pass the Heartbeat Bill. I also plan to sponsor a no-coercion bill that would make it illegal for someone to coerce a person into an abortion. I would like to create more programs to help women in crisis pregnancy and make it less expensive for those who like to adopt. We also need to uphold the second amendment, since the right of the people to keep and bears arms shall not be infringed. The other concern I have is to make sure we uphold due process because there have been clear violations of this most important right written in the 5th amendment.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Agree
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Disagree
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
The person needs to be a legal adult of the age of 18, although I realize here in Florida they changed the legal age to 21. They can not have committed a felony or been charged with domestic violence or have a restraining order against them.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
