RIGHT TO LIFE
Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?
To save the life of the mother.
Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).
Strongly Agree
If Roe v. Wade is overturned by the US Supreme Court, how far are you willing to go to roll back North Carolina's statutory abortion law that allows abortion up to 20 weeks?
Limiting abortion to saving the life of the mother.
I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.
Choose not to answer
Would you support a limitation on chemical abortion that protects women from taking abortion pills without the care and supervision of a qualified physician?

ECONOMY
The government should do more to close the gap between the working class and the wealthy.
Neutral
Government should provide education that prepares citizens to accumulate wealth to the potential of the individual. The current climate of instilling envy and hatred of wealth is a leading cause of poverty, as no one wants to be hated or considered evil.
What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?
"Fair" by definition demands a Flat Tax Rate. All W-2 earnings should be taxed at the same percentage, as well as business profits. There should not be any tax credits, subsidies or deductions. These are Government Favoritism and induce politicians to unjustly take from one group for the benefit of another, usually for the benefit of their voting cohort. A Flat Rate System such as this will impose fiscal responsibility and political accountability for all Government Spending.
Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.
Strongly Disagree
Economics prove that what you pay reflects the usefulness and value of that thing. All students are not suited to college, especially those who have not attained a 12th Grade Education Level. Additionally, European programs have proven that "Free Education Programs" frequently create permanent students. Society requires that citizens participate in Mutually Beneficial Exchange. That is, we "earn" a portion of the value we create for others. Education for education's sake fails society's needs.
RELIGIOUS LIBERTY
Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.
Strongly Disagree
This will violate the individual rights and disturb the pursuit of their own happiness. Conversely, why would one demand another provide goods and services that generate conflict and dissention? A happier mutually beneficial exchange should be sought.
Under what circumstances can government close churches?
None. Government should provide accurate information and recommend mitigation methods. Give people the respect of making informed decisions according to their own interests. By the same token, people should be allowed and responsible for the consequences of their own actions and behavior.
What should be the relationship between the church and the state?
The Constitution is the mandate for Government and all citizens. Rule of Law is based here. The Constitution of the United States of America and the Constitution of North Carolina are the powers ordained over us by God. The role of the Church is to develop its members' understanding of the values and behaviors that reflect God's guidance. As voters, those members' duty to God is to elect Leaders who best exhibit those principles. Our constitutions lay out the process and procedures for changing the powers ordained over us, and leaders as well as government officials should conduct themselves within the limitations of those documents. Changing laws, policies and programs without authorization under the powers appointed over us is a violation of the Social Contract of America. My core motivation and principles are grounded in Matthew 22: 37-40…/ Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” An extension of those concepts is Luke 6: 31 'Do to others as you would have them do to you.' This is the foundation of JUSTICE in humanity. The Primary Duty of Government begins here.
HEALTHCARE
What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.
Government mostly provides "Health Insurance", not "Health CARE". This is paid for by Working People of the USA, through direct taxation or surrogate tax collectors, aka Business Entities. Medicare and Social Security Retirement are goods and services contracts with the Government, paid for by the worker (beneficiary) under an employment agreement/mandate. Statement A) does NOT reflect the EU systems. European Systems come with severe drawbacks. Generally, the EU carries a 56% Income Tax Burden (compared to about 30% in the US). Another astounding detriment is that MD's and Health Care Workers earn 50% (and less) than comparable US MD's and Nurses. Most Europeans only use the "free" Health Care for routine exams. They also purchase Private Insurance to cover serious and acute needs, and services refused by the Government System. The costs of Health Care is a complex issue. Currently, the issue is more of "who pays" than what is paid. Hospital and Doctor Costs are about 50% of Health Care spending, but the emotional rage concerns the 10% spent on Pharmaceuticals. As with all efficiency efforts, the first place to pursue savings is from the largest expenditure category, not a minimal group. My Health Care Economics Studies exposed many of the complex issues. Market prices don't really exist because the patient rarely negotiates the bill. Third-party negotiations set the rates, while that same third party determines the premiums. Insurance mandates from Government have voided the basic concept of Insurance as a Risk Mitigation Instrument. The most common services are routine maintenance procedures. The options as you have stated here are emotional talking points from both sides of the issue. They are too simple for the complexity of our Health Care needs. The best theoretical system would be for consumers to compare market prices and pay out of pocket at the time service is rendered. Due to asymmetric information shortfalls, wealth disparities and unpredictable needs, among other things, this seems lacking as a stand-alone policy. Deep study and incremental progress is required to advance the good of the people.
Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?
The Doctor/Patient decision process should be the primary authority. A science-based risk and benefit analysis should be determining factors, utilizing the vast education, information and wisdom of the attending physician. Generally, our Childhood Vaccine protocols have withstood this standard. An employer's work environment risks may dictate the need for specialized precautions. Government should not be dictating or restricting therapies, treatments or access to remedies indicated by sound, professional medical experience.
EDUCATION
States should allow parents to use the Opportunity Scholarship Program to fund private school for their children.
Strongly Agree
Parents should have the right to choose the school their children will attend. Public Education should exist under free market conditions, where the tax dollars follow the child to the institution, public or private, that best meets the needs of developing good citizens.
In what situations does a parent not have the right to know what their child is being taught in public school?
None. Parents should have access to all of the curricula and pedagogy their children are exposed to. When information is being hidden from the parents, it is indoctrination, not education.
When should parents be restricted from speaking in school board meetings?
Only if that speech meets the established criteria of criminality. Good order indicates that the subject should be relevant and orderly, with respect shown to all parties. Being offended by the speech is not grounds for restriction, as free speech, even offensive speech, is essential to advancing society and resolving contentions.
VALUES
Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.
Strongly Agree
Jesus brought the concept of Human Dignity to the world. Do unto others as you would have them do to you is the foundation of Justice. This was advanced as the Individual Rights of Person, Property and Promises. The protection of these Individual Rights is the primary requirement and duty of Government. Moral restraint is exhibited by respecting those rights of other people. Without this restraint, society devolves into Rule of the Cruelest, as history has demonstrated time after time.
I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.
Strongly Disagree
I believe we must adhere to respecting the Individual Rights of Person, Property and Promises. This is a standard that avoids the emotional push of favoritism towards any group. Individual Psychology cannot be given primacy over Biology.
I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.
Strongly Disagree
Victimhood wallows in the past. Hope reaches for the future. CRT is a tool of conflict entrepreneurs, used to keep emotions raging for their personal gain. These emotional manipulations stir hatred and division, trapping the audience in the past and refusing forgiveness that would allow them to move ahead in peace, joy and prosperity. Education should be focused on solutions and bringing people together, not creating envy, hatred and division.
Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.
I believe in a Limited, Efficient and Effective Government. Everything government does costs money. Every dollar spent by government is a dollar YOU can’t direct to increase your happiness. My core principles are rooted in Matthew 22: 37-40…/ Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.” A further clarification is in Luke 6: 31 Do to others as you would have them do to you. These present an opportunity for me to continually grow towards a better understanding and implementation of God's will. This is the foundation of JUSTICE in humanity. The Primary Duty of Government begins here. The primary duty of government is to protect individual property rights. Punishing violations of individual rights is done through the administration of Justice. Justice is a two-way proposition- Individual Rights of Person, Property and Promises flow in two directions. That is, from you, as well as to you. If you shout Justice in the middle of the highway, honesty demands that you teach Justice in your home. Moral restraint from criminal behavior is the most efficient and effective means of crime reduction. Respecting the Individual Rights of others is active Justice. When those rights are violated, we must have an adequate Law Enforcement System to fulfill the Social Contract of America. We must have a well-funded Police Force, supported and endorsed by its administrators and the general public. We must support the Judicial System in providing a speedy trial. We must support the penal system in isolating violators whose behavior demands removing them from society. Education is a means of satisfying Practical Wisdom. The image of God that I aspire to is found in Faith, Hope, and Love. The behaviors to reach for are in Practical Wisdom, Justice, Courage and Temperance. These are the Seven Virtues designated and expounded by Thomas Aquinas(1225-1274).
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
People should be able to vote without photo identification.
Strongly Disagree
It is nearly impossible to function in modern society without a photo identification. Opening a credit card or bank account requires it. Buying lottery tickets and medications require it. Receiving Health Care requires it. Confirming the voter is who they claim to be and live where they claim is essential to reliable elections.
What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?
Require Voter Photo ID, Repeal "Motor Voter Registration", Make Election Day the Voting day and a holiday.
EQUALITY
Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?
This question implies racism is an action, not a mindset. I believe that violations of Individual Rights of Person, Property and Promises should be punished according to law. The motivation for those violations is not the crime itself. Attaching emotional adjectives to a crime serves a hidden agenda. Racism is not a threat to domestic security. Criminal and Gang Activities are a threat. Criminal Gangs prosper through the use of violence and fear.
ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT
Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.
A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. The small incremental reductions of pollution carry a tremendous cost per unit. The best economically-feasible methods of environmental improvement in the US are rejected based in 1960's paranoia and the false assumptions and expectations of today's fad and fanaticism. Solar Panel viability has been stagnant for 60 years. Wind Power is HUNDREDS of years old with poor feasibility for modern needs. Both have been fueled by Corporate Welfare. Both require de-forestation and tons of rare-earth mining, producing non-recyclable waste and hazmat streams. Nuclear power is the most viable, safe option available. Nuclear capacity to replace Transportation Fossil Fuel requires increasing from 96 Reactors to 1200 Reactors in the USA. Environmental activist cause a 25-year lead time to build a Nuclear Power Station, even though we've had safe reactors sailing the seven sea (and under the seas) for decades. The most efficient and effective environmental improvement is available where the greatest offense is committed. Where low-cost technology can cut emissions by 50% is the place to focus. The greatest impact the US can have on the environment is to impose a graduated 200% Tariff on imports from nations that exceed US emission rates/standards. Market pressures will motivate the improvements, with ZERO Corporate Welfare cost to US Taxpayers.
ABOUT YOU
What do you think is the general purpose of government?
The primary requirement of Government is to Protect the Individual Rights of Person, Property and Promises (PPP) (Adam Smith, The Theory of Moral Sentiment, 1759). The concept of Limited Government demands that all other functions be restricted to those necessary things that Individuals and Private Civic Organizations cannot carry out. National Defense and Law Enforcement/Judicial Administration are centered in PPP.
When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?
Conservative
Promoting Justice and Personal Responsibility should be the drivers of Government Policy. Help to those in need should be prioritized towards making people self-sufficient. Government Spending is all paid for by the Produce of Labor of Working People. When governments spend, that value (money) can't be used by the person who created that value for their own happiness. We don't get "charity credits" for Government spending funded by our taxes. "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's..."
Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).
Did not answer
Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.
No
What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?
My priorities are Limited Government, Efficient Government and Effective Government. Advancing Justice, Education and Individual Happiness are my goals. Individual Property Rights are the foundation of Justice. Justice is rooted in the home and culture. Whether ethics, morality or criminality, violations of individual property rights are affronts to Justice. You should shout Justice in the streets. Intellectual honesty also demands you teach and demonstrate Justice in your home and life. Our Education System needs to be re-focused on transferring skills and abilities that enhance mutually beneficial exchange. The value produced for others is the source of one's happiness, wealth and prosperity. Individual Happiness is derived from one's Faith, Hope, Love, Practical Wisdom, Justice, Courage and Temperance. Perfecting these is a life-long aspirational journey. Influencing others towards these will lift the quality of life in society.
CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY
Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.
Strongly Agree
Interaction with Law Enforcement Officers usually begins after socially-unacceptable behavior has been committed. Society has directed the LEO, as a condition of employment, into a situation where the offender is likely to escalate to conflict and violence. The LEO deserves full support of the superiors and the general public for meeting their demands.
I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.
Strongly Disagree
If mental health and community programs are warranted they should be chartered and funded separately.
2ND AMENDMENT
What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?
Legal ownership is the only restriction. Nearly all violations of public safety are committed by people who are already prohibited from possessing firearms. Most also have a history of violence and law enforcement interaction. Stronger punishment and citizenship maturity for criminals will protect public safety.
Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.
Strongly Disagree
Under this thought process, Automobile Manufacturers should be sued and held responsible for collision injuries. Farmers should be sued by Obesity-related Diabetics. The manufacturer is responsible for the product functioning as designed and as advertised. Liability for the use of that product by a third party is limited to that person controlling the product.
OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES
Would you support legislation that prohibits biological boys from competing on girls sports teams?
