QUESTIONNAIRE

RIGHT TO LIFE

Under what circumstances should abortion be allowed?

I am a proponent of Right to Life

Abortion providers, including Planned Parenthood, should not receive funds from federal, state, or local governments (including Title X grants).

Strongly Agree

If Roe v. Wade is overturned by the US Supreme Court, how far are you willing to go to roll back North Carolina's statutory abortion law that allows abortion up to 20 weeks?

As a Right to Life candidate I believe that life begins at conception and that abortion should be available only for the purpose of saving the life of the mother. The U.S. Supreme Court properly returned the issue of abortions to the States and I will support a heartbeat bill in the legislature.

I support 'aid in dying' laws which legalize assisted suicide and euthanasia.

Strongly Disagree

All life is precious and death should not be determined by man.

Would you support a limitation on chemical abortion that protects women from taking abortion pills without the care and supervision of a qualified physician?

Yes

ECONOMY

The government should do more to close the gap between the working class and the wealthy.

Disagree

It is not the governments place to ensure that the gap is closed. We are only guaranteed the right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness by the Constitution.

What changes, if any, should be made to the tax code?

It is my opinion that a flat tax rate should be implemented thereby causing everyone to pay their fair share of taxes.

Taxpayer-funded public education should be guaranteed through college.

Disagree

Taxpayer funded public education has been the established norm. A college education is and should be the decision of the individual and not a burden for the taxpayer.

RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

Individuals and businesses should be required to provide services even if it would violate their moral and/or religious beliefs.

Strongly Disagree

Individuals and businesses should have the right to refuse services that violate their moral/religious beliefs.

Under what circumstances can government close churches?

None

What should be the relationship between the church and the state?

Our country was founded on Judeo-Christian principles and the Constitution guarantees the right of freedom of religion not from religion.

HEALTHCARE

What most closely matches your view on healthcare: A) Healthcare for all should be guaranteed and funded by the government with no private healthcare option. (includes "universal healthcare," "medicare for all," etc.) B) Healthcare insurance funded by the government should be available for all who want it, along with private healthcare options. C) Medicaid and Medicare should remain available, but no other taxpayer-funded programs are necessary. D)Tax-payer funded health care should be abolished in all forms, and Medicaid and Medicare should be de-funded.

Option C

Under what circumstances (if any) should a government, school, or employer be allowed to require vaccinations?

There should be no circumstance that an individual should be required to be vaccinated. It is incumbent upon the individual to make those personal choices as to what is put into their body.

EDUCATION

States should allow parents to use the Opportunity Scholarship Program to fund private school for their children.

Agree

In what situations does a parent not have the right to know what their child is being taught in public school?

There is no situation in which parents should be excluded from knowledge of what their children are being taught.

When should parents be restricted from speaking in school board meetings?

Parents should never be excluded from school board meetings. School boards are elected to serve and are, therefore, answerable to the electorate.

VALUES

Judeo-Christian values established a framework of morality which is necessary for our system of limited government.

Strongly Agree

I support adding gender identity as a specially protected class in non-discrimination laws.

Strongly Disagree

I agree with Critical Race Theory (CRT) which asserts that the institutions in the United States are fundamentally racist.

Strongly Disagree

Briefly describe your spiritual beliefs and values.

I am a Christian Conservative.

ELECTIONS AND VOTING

People should be able to vote without photo identification.

Strongly Disagree

What laws would you propose to change present voting practices?

Early voting period should be reduced, no excuse absentee voting should be eliminated and voter ID should be enforced. No ballots should be mailed out without a request from the voter and mail in ballots should only be used for qualified absentee voters with proper identification.

EQUALITY

Is racism a threat to domestic security in the United States? Why or why not?

I do not believe that racism is as prevalent in our country as many would have us to believe. There are radicals from both sides that wish to incite and inflame discord and they should be dealt with accordingly. As cooler heads prevail the domestic security threats are diminished.

ENERGY & ENVIRONMENT

Which comes closest to your view? A) Stricter environmental laws and regulations cost too many jobs and hurt the economy. B) Stricter environmental laws and regulations are worth the cost.

Option A. You can never totally get away from the use of fossil fuels. Our country should utilize our resources to become independent from foreign energy.

ABOUT YOU

What do you think is the general purpose of government?

Governments purposes are limited in scope by our Constitution. The Federal government has expanded beyond what the founding fathers had envisioned with less sovereignty afforded to the states. Smaller government is more responsive to the electorate.

When you consider your views on a wide range of issues from economic and social matters to foreign policy and religious liberty, which of the following best describes you overall?

Very Conservative

Please provide publicly available information, including interviews and media reports, validating your answer to the previous question (other than your website).

**

Have you ever been convicted of a felony or been penalized in either civil or criminal court for sexual misconduct? If so, please explain.

No

What else would you like voters to know about you, including your legislative priorities?

I am a Christian Conservative that believes in smaller, more responsive government. My legislative priorities are to ensure quality basic education, to work to eliminate the idea that some of our citizens are victims and some are oppressors, to ensure that our citizens have and continue to have the rights guaranteed to them under the Constitution, to develop economic engines to ensure that each North Carolinian has the opportunity to succeed based upon their willingness to apply themselves in search of a better life and to be responsive to the electorate.

CRIMINAL JUSTICE & PUBLIC SAFETY

Police officers should be personally immune from prosecution for conduct consistent with departmental policy (qualified immunity) while on duty.

Strongly Agree

That personal immunity should not extend to violations of State or Federal laws.

I support redirecting funds from police departments to mental health and community programs.

Strongly Disagree

The police are tasked with being the defenders of our laws and protectors of the population and should not have to be continuously incapacitated by funding cuts or redirection of funds. Mental Health and community programs are stand alone programs and should be funded separately. Both can and do work hand in hand with each other in providing services to our communities.

2ND AMENDMENT

What restrictions on gun ownership are needed to protect public safety?

Restricting gun ownership is a non-starter for me as long as the owner is in compliance with State and Federal laws.

Victims of gun violence should be able to sue firearms dealers and manufacturers.

Strongly Disagree

Firearms dealers and manufacturers only produce a product. As long as they follow the laws that are in effect, they have no control over the way and manner that the end user uses their product. Should car manufacturers or kitchen knife manufacturers be sued because their product was used in a criminal capacity? I think not.

OTHER IMPORTANT ISSUES

Would you support legislation that prohibits biological boys from competing on girls sports teams?

Yes

Biological boys competing against girls gives them an unfair advantage.. Biologically speaking, females should compete against females and males against males. That gives each gender an equal playing field.
